One person in my party ordered clams casino When the server came by to ask how everything was he said bad and told her why and she immediately said I'll take them off the bill. A manager came over to check the problem. That diner had left the table momentarily so she said she would come back. Never came back. The person next to me had French onion soup and said it was too salty. The manager smiled made a comment and walked away. Honestly, I don't think that she heard the comment. It was Italian Night so I ordered the sausage and pepper peperdalle. It was good but barely hot. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and I will visit again. Please invest in some food thermometers and send the food out hot. This is typical of many of the restaurants here in The Villages. Please please please send the foot out hot.

I'm not sure why it's at 3.9 stars but hopefully this will help push it over the top. It would be nice if they stayed open maybe an hour later but that just means you need to go to dinner by 6:30 or so. We tried to go on Friday night although they were booked, but they told us you can usually come in and sit at the bar without any problem and they also told us they would call us back if there was an opening. They did call us back, but by then we had made other plans. So we were able to get in there on Saturday night. It's a dark restaurant, but very nice and homey. We had a comfortable and private boost. Our server was very personable, upbeat and guided us through the menu and gave some suggestions. The Manhattan cocktail, which I asked for with a little less sweet vermouth, was just perfect. The fried green tomato Caprese was absolutely delicious. They use local suppliers for their produce, and I presume for their fish and meat as well. The Caprese had a locally produced mandarin orange oil in it that really made the dish pop. The cornmeal coating on the tomatoes was perfect and crunchy, and the dish had just the right amount of mozzarella. My wife is a vegetarian and had the grilled vegetables that were also perfectly cooked and delicious with some of that mandarin orange oil. Her mother had the Duroc pork chop, which was cooked very much to her liking, and she also quite enjoyed the sweet potato pancakes that came with the pork chop. I love shrimp and grits and was all set to order some but then I saw some of the other mains on the menu and that's why I have to go back because there was a bluefin tuna dish with fried fried oysters and there was another grilled shrimp dish that looked delicious. We saw the prime rib go by because that's the special on Saturday night and that looked great too. But ultimately I did go ahead and get the shrimp and grits. The chef is from South Carolina and he's rightfully proud of his shrimp and grits. Lots of great flavor. The grits are slightly al dente and flavored with a pimento cheese that is really nice and there were plenty of shrimp and some bacon jam and some other tasty tidbits in there. I just loved it. Some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever tasted. I asked the waitress waitress which wine she would recommend with that and she told me about their whites, but I'm not a Chardonnay person so she suggested their Pinot Noir which I never would've expected, but I had a glass of it and it went perfect perfectly with the food. We live in Los Angeles, but my wife's mother lives near Leesburg and we will definitely be back to Turner's next time we visit. I wish I took a picture of the food, but it looked so good, we couldn't wait and just dove in. Highly recommended.

As a vegetarian and my wife being Gluten Free, we wondered what we would order. If we knew our friends better, we would have suggested going elsewhere, but did not say much. I saw that they have a side salad and wondered if they could make that into an entree portion for me. The very nice waitress came back with a resounding 'no', they could not accommodate. The menu was almost 100% meat or fish. There was one vegetarian plate, which was expensive and I could not see the value reflected in the rather large asking price. Instead, I ordered 3 sides, Brussel Sprouts, grits and sweet potatoes, each $5.00. They were all good with the exception of the Brussel Sprouts having a gas taste. So too much flame there. My wife eats meat and had the Prime Rib (first time in 20 years). She said it was good and it was $34. The Salmon was also $34. Our friends each had the blackened salmon and they were also $34. These came with 1 side. To us, we felt the food was overpriced. The mostly meat menu caters obviously to only meat eaters and the owner was not willing to make any changes as our friend wanted to leave the bacon oil out, and that didn't happen. I suppose they do not need our business and our friends felt the same way. Of course, after hearing such good things about the place, we were sorry we went there. Or course, if in the future the name of the restaurant comes up, we will share our experiences. Word of mouth advertising came be good or bad. Seemed like the waitress has had to give the 'no change' answer lots of times before. So, this was not our kind of restaurant as they didn't serve what we wanted. Oh well, we tried.

My husband and I chose to sit outside since it was such a beautiful, less humid day. Our server, Jermaine, was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were outstanding. The shrimp were plentiful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The combination of feta, onion, and light seasoning complemented the shrimp without overpowering the flavor. My husband ordered the Big League Meatball Sub, and it was a big hit! The meatballs were flavorful, smothered in marinara sauce, and topped with Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. The toasted roll held together perfectly, making it easy to enjoy every bite. For our side, we chose the Sidewinder Fries. At first, we had to ask where our fries were because we didn't realize the curled potatoes in front of us were them--but wow, they were incredible! The Sidewinder Fries were the best, and we'll definitely be ordering them every time. We're already looking forward to coming back!

It was Saturday morning and we were up early and decided to expand our search a few towns over to Leesburg. The reviews and menu looked great here so we took a drive. The dining room is small but didn't feel cramped, when we arrived a few tables were checking out so we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Everything had been decorated for Christmas and it was a nice touch that they even themed their menu to bring the winter vibes full circle. My fiancé and I both ordered an OJ and for my meal I chose the Winter Warm Up Casserole with cheese grits for my side and he got a half order of the biscuits &gravy and a side order of pancakes. The casserole was everything I wanted it to be and more! I'm not a big bacon person, but the cherrywood thick cut bacon was so delicious. My mouth is watering thinking about this now! My cheese grits were thick and creamy and perfectly cheesy. The biscuits and gravy were so good! Loaded with sausage and love. The pancakes were ok for me, my fiancé devoured them. The syrup had a nice vanilla flavor to it. Service was prompt and the food was out quickly. They had a tree up similar to an angel tree where you can choose a child to buy Christmas gifts for. We took one, and if there are more left when we come back we will probably grab another. What a great little spot in downtown Leesburg.
