Previously loved them but they are just incompetent! Constantly running out of food & canceling orders after they charge you for things. Then it's a chore to even get a refund! CAUTION AVOID if you don't want to be scammed!!!

I am very glad I am minutes away from this place. This place fills the void for good quality, unpretentious, slow-cooked, tasty food. I like Jerk chicken and I would say it's top 3 in Tampa. The ox-tails, brown chicken and curry chicken are the best I've had. Please don't expect a rush service because it's only the owner behind the counter. Still, he does a good job on dishing out the food. There are tables but you will be served on to-go plates. I sit down and finish my plate there for two reasons: 1. I don't have to clean 2. I can ask for more The sauces are so good!!! Last time I had to order an extra side of rice and peas (great taste) and asked to put a little bit of sauce on top... btw, I think what I call sauce, most people here call gravy. Tomato... Tomeito? Chicken dishes at lunch are decent and sorry but I'm not sure if it's $7.99 or $8.99... either way is very fairly priced. Next I'll go for fish and shrimp. I'm very happy this place opened in Pinellas. Keep Jammin'

Jerk chicken, rice and beans, cabbage. We also had the dumplings( roll). Delicious!

This place is amazing! Anyone who knows me, knows I love me some Jamaican food, mon! I was so happy…read moreI found this place right before a weekend vacation to Tarpon Springs/Clearwater. It ended up being the first place we ate for lunch as we arrived. There is a decent amount of parking (tip: there is additional parking in the back) The restaurant is huge and can easily hold a party, which supposedly happens on Saturday nights. The decor and smells transport me right back to the island. The service was also spectacular...shout out to our server, the owners son. He is very humble and has outstanding customer service skills. Now onto the food! Literally everything we ordered was amazing and tasted great. The Jerk chicken was cooked to perfection. It had the right amount of spices and was really tender. But the oxtails stole the show. I haven't had oxtails in over a decade and a half, and these were amazing. The sauce was so good that I was putting spoonfuls on my rice even after the meat was done. The rice was good and the steamed cabbage tasted really fresh. There was even a special sauce provided that is made by the owner, which is like a family recipe that is a purée of fresh vegetables! The beef patty and coco bread was awesome too. No lie, if we lived close I would be a regular here. Respect !

The plantains were good. Would not return

I had written this place off after a change of ownership left it with subpar food and indifferent service. My wife kept going back and insisted things had turned around. She was right. I hate when that happens. Mid-Saturday afternoon, good crowd, zero wait. Drinks first -- Tito's Moscow Mule for me, Angry Orchard for her. Both spot on. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos: corn tortillas, slaw, slightly spicy aioli, topped with thin pickled red onions. Very, very good -- and I don't hand out two "verys" lightly. The Mrs. had the bang bang shrimp flatbread, which was tasty enough that she only shared one bite. Our server Mia was fantastic -- attentive without hovering, asked all the right questions, kept things moving perfectly. The ambiance is still the star. Right on Lake Tarpon with their own marina -- come by boat if you can. Just don't swim. About 16 miles of gator-infested shoreline out there, so admire the view from dry land. There's a 3% credit card surcharge, which I have opinions about, but it happens to match my cash back rate so the universe balanced out. One hard-earned tip: do NOT sit outside near sunset. We made that mistake once and were swarmed by mosquitoes the second the sun went down -- full aerial assault, no survivors. The view through a window is just as nice, and you'll keep all your blood. Glad they turned it around. We'll be back.

Kids Mac n Cheese is a tiny bowl of Kraft Mac n Cheese for $12. The Fish n Chips, the fish was undercooked and the batter was still gooey. Atmosphere: The restaurant itself apart from the food is pretty great, outside you overlook the Tarpon Lake, they've great tables, spacing is great, outside tables have umbrellas. Very good atmosphere, though there is restaurant trash in the lake. Service: The service was decent, nothing special. I love the atmosphere, but price for quality isn't here. Food is not worth the price tag in the slightest. I came to this conclusion based on taste, and portions. As Such I do not recommend unless you plan on consuming enough alcohol to forget the taste and price of the food and just enjoy the view, and ambiance of the restaurant itself.

The inside is decorated colorfully and is comfortable. I was not familiar with many foods on the menu, but I was adventurous and tried the special: Pastelon de Amarillo's - ground beef, cheeses, sweet plantains in a round dish. I asked for sweet plantains for a side. Next time I'll choose something else. That was too many plantains for me. Husband had grilled skirt steak with red beans & white rice. He ate almost everything - left some of the rice. He really enjoyed his dinner, and he, too, would like to return. Andrew was our wait staff and he was efficient and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and our booth was comfortable. I took home half of my meal as I didn't want to stuff myself. When reheated the next day, it was just as good. I hope this restaurant is here for many years!

From the moment we walked in, we could smell the deliciousness cooking in the back, and the long line of people verified we had made the right choice coming here. Set up is cafeteria-style where you pick your options, and they serve your food, packaged for takeout. Everything comes with rice, veggies, and the option of plantains. We all got oxtails which were so flavorful, even my skeptical husband loved it! Mango meatballs, jerk chicken, jerk pork were all fantastic, as were the sides of rice, veggies, and cabbage. Chatted with the owner, and you can tell the food is cooked with love. Highly recommend!! Please note that there's limited seating at the bar, but we wanted to enjoy our food while it was still hot so we stayed to eat. We will be back!

There were only two other diners there including ourselves. First impressions is it's attached to a sketchy motel on US Hwy 19 but the interior is welcoming. Service: we were immediately greeted and seated. Slow time when we arrived. We had a rough start with our server. She took our drink orders fairly quickly and they arrived timely. She then disappeared for a good 20+ mins causing me to look for her. She was in another banquet type room with another worker and I had to get her attention. She apologized and we had no other issues. Food: This was the highlight of the experience. The food was authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. I had the pernil (pork) with arroz con habichuelas (rice & beans). My wife had the carne frita (fried beef) and also had arroz con habichuelas. We had to ask for a kids menu for our son and he had pollo frito y papas (fried chicken and fries) which was a good portion size. I also ordered a alcapurria (fried plantain w/ meat) which was outstanding and also a side of tostones (fried plantains). Food was a 9 out of 10. During our meal we noticed a band was setting up but we didn't get to stay long enough to enjoy it. We want to return and enjoy that experience in the future. Overall it was a good value on the food.
