Beefburger
Lauren B.

We visited the Grille for lunch upon arriving to the Broadmoor. It was nice and relaxing with a beautiful View of the golf course in front of the mountains. I had the grille spa kale salad which was delicious. I really liked the granola in the salad as it added a nice crunch. My husband had the grille beefburger which he liked. It came with shoestring fries which aren't my favorite but he really liked them. Overall it was a great spot for lunch and our baby napped the whole time.

Another place that I had already decided it was going to be overrated. Looks like a typical golf club dining room. My expectations were not high. We had reservations for a Thanksgiving lunch menu. First of all the restaurant staff that greeted us were very friendly, asked if we would like to wait for a window seating. A beautiful view of the course and mountains in the background. Our waiter was super. On holiday we especially appreciate service staff that work to service us. He was very pleasant and professional. Excellent service. The Thanksgiving meal was delicious perfect for what we would have cooked. Best way to provide a "prefixed" meal, as in giving you an option to choose from the menu or the 4 course Thanksgiving meal of which all courses you can pick and choose. We were impressed with the meal and the staff. The manager came and asked if we needed a box and could provide anything and everything that we would need to warm it up in our room, including a microwave. Now that's service Serious excellent experience

The food was delivered all at once and all of it overcooked which led me to believe it was precooked and heated up. The ambiance was very nice and the snow view was beautiful. It just could use some Better trained staff and more attention to food quality

My husband ordered the red snapper and I ordered the red trout; neither were seasoned very well at all, although the presentation was very nice. It was our least favorite meal while staying at the Broadmoor. If you're going to charge all that money for the food, please season it. We had an African American waitress who couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu. I don't know if she was new, but another lady had to come over and tell us about the menu items. Beware the succotash is cooked with bacon. It's not listed on the bacon and we don't eat bacon. There is a beautiful view of the golf course; it actually started snowing during our meal.

Made a reservation for 6 for when they opened and they were ready on time. We were seated immediately. Waiter Zane was super friendly and nice. Beautiful place! Very bright and airy. We sat inside and I was glad I had made a reservation. My only complaint was that I was talking and didn't realize my drink was taken. I was not done. He apologized and offered a 1/2 drink and I agreed. He came back and said he could not do it. That is not good service. Sorry. Then give a whole drink. I think there was some sort of very small credit on the bill; I didn't ask. I got the Grille Spa Kale salad. Absolutely the best salad of the week. Loved it! Salmon on top had granola and there was quinoa and dried cranberries in there! The blueberry pomegranate dressing was light. I loved every bite!!

Braised beef pasta special - a huge portion!

The Grille at the Broadmoor has a fantastic view of the golf course. Definitely request a window table or if weather permits, choose the patio. Both have great views. Service at The Grille was very good. Our server, Savannah, seemed new, but she was honest and caring. The manager came by a couple of times to make sure our evening was going well. I made a point to find him on the way out to let him know how good the service had been. We started with cocktails and an appetizer. I had a Tito's Arnold Palmer, but honestly too weak. The Tartare of Beef was exceptional and plenty for the two of us. I had ordered a Ceasar salad, which was huge! It was one of the best Ceasar salads I have ever had and shared it with my wife. She was of the same opinion on its flavor. Our entree selection were the two specials: the beef tower - a layer of mashed potatoes, a layer of thin bread, a layer of 6 oz filet mignon, and topped with Foie Gras. This was heaven for my wife who is a huge Foie Gras fan. The only disappointment was that the Foie Gras was cold and not seared. It would have been so much better seared. I had the pasta special which was wide noodles in braised beef. It was very nice, but the portion was too large for me. Neither of us could finish our entree. We planned to pass on dessert until they said their pie of the day was coconut cream. That cannot be passed up and unfortunately, it was delicious! This was a "don't miss" in Colorado Springs.

Roasted golden beet and heirloom tomato salad ($15)

The Grille is open to hotel guests and golf members only. Maybe that's why there were ample tables available and we were seated right away when every other restaurant on the property was packed with slim chances of getting a table! - Birdie ($14): Refreshing on a humid evening. - Roasted golden beet and heirloom tomato salad ($15): Fresh and juicy beets and tomatoes with tangy Humboldt fog cheese. A perfect light menu item. - Prince Edward Island mussels ($19): The mussels were plump, but the broth fell a little short. It could have been more flavorful and a soft bread where you could sop up that goodness might be a better alternative to the hard croutons. Zach was our server and we appreciated the fast service since someone in our party was hangry. 20% automatic gratuity, as is the case with all the dining establishments at this hotel.

The Grille is always a must-visit each time we visit the Broadmoor. Every dish is so pretty when it comes out & the views are gorgeous looking over the golf course.

Spent 3 days at the broadmoor and ate here 4X. This place is literally the best place to eat! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. The lunch menu has a little bit of everything. The drinks are also refreshing but do their thing. The views while you dine are breathtaking. And again the service the service. You cannot ask for anything else Highly recommend (don't even bother with the )

Golf Club and East Course at the Broadmoor

Upon arrival at the spectacular Broadmoor Resort, we walked to the The Grille at the Golf Club. We were seated on the patio terrace. This patio had fabulous views of the mountainside East Golf Course. That was indeed a special treat itself. The service was the best, and the ambiance was so peaceful. I enjoyed a Trio of Salads...tuna salad, chicken salad, and egg salad. These were accompanied by a very nice portion of raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon. It was also served with zucchini bread. It was so delightful! My husband ordered and loved the Super Grilled Cheese sandwich. This was unlike any normal grill cheese sandwich. It was a generously sized sandwich filled, not only with cheese, but also sliced tomatoes, avocados and jalapeño peppers...very special! I think I could have just lingered there for hours, enjoying the view...but who could miss an afternoon at the beautiful infinity Broadmoor pool?

The steak was to die for! Atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was super friendly. Great for business/formal dinners.

We highly recommend the Aspen American Bar and Grill for nice relaxing dining experience for two or for an entire party of 30 are more. A birthday day was being celebrated with about 18 guests in the next section and our area was still very quiet. This is now a favorite restaurant and will return very often. The food was so great we didn't have a chance to take pictures, therefore we must return and get so great photos. It was a privilege to meet Jose and Bree. Thank you for allowing me to share this excellent dining experience with you!

But without any other tables for our server I guess it was better than not. My coworker and I ended up both ordering the ribeye and loaded potato. I had the side salad which was pretty unremarkable and not made with the best ingredients. The tomato was all but frozen and the rest wasn't high quality. Same was true of the ribeye itself. A lower quality cut of meat with gristle and it and the potato needed seasoning. My coworker was more satisfied than I was. There's lots of other interesting menu options, but not sure if it's worth a second trip.

Once mixed together, the yolk coats everything into a delicious fresh dense bowl that's deeply satisfying without feeling too heavy. The crispy calamari was a great, light, crunchy meal. The thai chili salmon plate was bright and fresh, with a nice balance of glaze, greens, and noodles. Overall, higher quality for lower price. We will be returning. Cocktails were just as thoughtful as the food -- vibrant, fruity, sweet, and beautifully presented. If you come here, order the Seoul Bowl. Shuga's Favorite Cafe Tray is an order that could satisfy one's entire meal but is best when shared as a starter or if you are looking for a light meal. The Mediterranean selection with the hummus and tapenade is amazing with the coconut shrimp soup being a must try with its creamy and spiciness. Though I love the almond butter cake the most to add a little dessert to the meal. The Madame of the Pletzl is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel is perfectly salted and has a wonderful crunch the sandwich needs. The egg melts into the sandwich, mixing with everything it needs to. The ham is fried up to crisp it up a bit but the ham seems to be lacking flavor wise compared to everything else in the sandwich. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich also is an amazing sandwich. The pork shoulder is crisped up nicely and works so well with everything else. The winter soup was a tomato soup with some grilled cheese croutons and it is the best tomato soup I've ever had. The tomato soup isn't puréed, there are noticeable definitions in the tomatoes in the soup. The soup isn't too acidic which is the usual issue in tomato soups. The croutons really amplify this dish on to another level and I just wish there were more in my soup. I can't wait to come back here and my biggest issue will to try and order new things.
