This is a great little restaurant located in a modern hotel that gave "Hawaii" like vibes. As for the restaurant, there are two distinctly different sections to the restaurant. I highly recommend sitting outside. It has a beautiful mountain view. However, the inside seems very much like any hotel restaurant. As for the food, it definitely did not disappoint. The GF Burratta was insanely good. It exceeded expectations. It definitely did not taste gluten-free. The salmon was exceptional and plated beautifully and the Wagyu burger was absolutely delicious. read more

Atmosphere was nice. Service and food was subpar. For the prices I expected more. Drinks served in plastic cups for a start. Husband ordered a burger and stressed NO SAUCES, burger came with wrong cheese covered in sauce. My chicken dish was almost inedible. Mostly cold and rice undercooked. Price of dinner was over $100.00. Service was slow, servers seemed to be scattered. Will not try this again. We went because we were too tired to find a restaurant outside the Cheyenne Mountains Resort where we were staying. read more

Update from August 2019: I am so sad to take some stars off of this review. We had such a good experience the last time, we wanted to come back! I also have seen some killer pics from weddings here, so we wanted to check it out as a potential location for some wedding photos or celebrations. Well, I needed some WiFi to do a little research as we enjoyed our cocktails. Apparently, there is no way to access WiFi if you are not staying at the resort. We asked several people, and no results. Then we ordered the charcuterie board again since I had enjoyed it so much before. There was very little meat, a few good cheeses, and then some craisins, dried pineapple squares, and crackers that were in the shape of butterflies and are super reminiscent of the cheap kind from the grocery store. I just except better from a place that's a resort! Unfortunately, this place lost a potential wedding client because of the service we received. read more

We are staying at Cheyenne Mountain Resort for a few nights and tried Elevations. Good news is the food was fine. Our server was great, too. If we weren't so determined to try Elevations, however, we would never have found out. The host greeted us with nothing but warnings to not have high expectations. While standing up front with her, she said "you'll have to wait 45 minutes for the food" (didn't take that long), "it's been just too busy all day for the kitchen to keep up, just like it is now" (restaurant 75% full), and "if you want to you can sit over at that table" (then staring at us until we got the hint that we would need to show the courage to walk ourselves over to the table). Try this instead: "Hi there! Table for 3, with another one or two to join later for drinks? Great! I'll take you to this large high top table with plenty of space for your friends to join you. (Then, after seating us) Just a heads up that the food is running a bit slow tonight, but your server will get you set up with a cold beer or craft cocktail right away. We're so glad you are here!" First, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The drinks and food were very good. However, the restaurant seemed much nicer in the pics on the internet. The table we were seated at was all gummy and chipped up and seen better days. But there were much nicer tables around us. This is a sweet bar inside the Cheyenne Mountain Hotel. If sports are your thing, you can die a happy death here. I'm sitting at a wooden "bar" (not THE bar) and able to watch 6 TV's at once (playing three different stations), and there's at least two more TV's in the corner. One of them is MASSIVE, but even if you're not a sports fan, the vibe is chill enough that you can relax with an Almond Joy Hot Chocolate (made with malibu rum and godiva liqueur) and enjoy the painted sunset through a side wall comprised entirely of windows. So, that's the setting. Food wise: legit. My dad and I shared Elk Bolognese last night that was mouthwatering, but I was also eyeing a Buffalo Reuban sandwich, hopefully for another day (my mom got a chicken sandwich, it was good, but the sweet potato waffle fries?? We all fought over them.) The mixed berries salad wasn't mindblowing, and maybe not worth the price tag, but it was what it promised to be. There's a solid wine and cocktail list, plus dessert drinks, and I would definitely eat here again. The downside: the service was quite slow. I think the bar was swamped because the restaurant hasn't yet opened, which is understandable, but we were sharing the salad and we had it for 10 minutes before someone brought us side plates. Two of the wandering servers were really friendly, but the person who was supposed to be our "main" waitress was totally negligent. She seemed to value her other tables above ours and kept deferring every time we asked for something. I've been a server and I understand how the operation works, but I got the sense she didn't want to deal with us. Seemed there were only 3 people collecting orders and 1 guy bringing out all the food to the tables. Staff was all friendly. We ordered 3 beers, which took them awhile to bring out but weren't too bothered by that. We ordered our meals and ordered toasted ravioli for our appetizer. Meals came out and appetizer didn't arrive. We asked our server and the person bringing out the food about it and they told us it would be out shortly. Part way through our meal, the toasted ravioli arrived. You could tell just by looking at it that it was over cooked on the outside but still tried them and the center was cold. Told our waitress to take them back to the kitchen and we didn't want a replacement. Literally looked like a "oh crud! Forgot to make them so let's quickly throw a batch together to send out". Our waitress apologized and had it taken off our order. The rest of our food was good. I had the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese (the Mac and cheese was mediocre but the buffalo chicken was SPOT ON and ate that all up). The reason I gave this a 2 star instead of a 3 was that we also placed a To-Go order of their Elevation Burger. We told the waitress 3 times we wanted it medium well and just a burger with cheese. The order was got had all the toppings and was cooked medium rare. Like I said, the staff was all nice and they did mention that things were a bit crazy in the kitchen due to them also cooking for 2 events going on that evening BUT if they had that much going on then they should have limited their orders at the restaurant since the kitchen was having a hard time getting orders out and making sure the food is made correctly. The atmosphere was quite pleasing, the drinks were cold, and the food was on point. service was actually pretty good since we attended on a busy night, there was live music and everybody seem to be enjoying themselves. Can't beat this view! You can sit outside at a table, or they have a big fire pit once the sun sets. Bucket of meatballs with parmesan crack were pretty good. We were hungry, and they were filling. My girl friend and I always try and find new places for drinks. We stopped here together after a long work week and we're glad we did. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were pretty nice. Hand breaded fish? Girl, I think the f not. That sht was from Costco, or better yet one of the companies where public schools get their food. How do you both burn a tortilla and allow it to be raw at the same time? Only god knows. There were about 3-4 kind and good servers who were outgoing, but they were also picking up the slack for every-one else in the restaurant. The manager was talking to another coworker for the entirety of our time there despite there being customers in need. I also swear the 'avacado spread' was the guac from those little packets in Costco. I was excited to go to Starbucks afterward because I felt a 12 year old I was babysitting made me 'gourmet'. Sadly since new ownership took over the food and most notably the service is even worse. We are club members and would eat here multiple times a week if the service was any good. This evening we came in, took a table near the bar, in full view of staff, and sat for over ten minutes, completely ignored by all staff as they brought menus etc to two tables on either side of us. It was utterly perplexing. The last time the waitress walked right past us (to our complete shock), she proceeded to wipe down an empty table in the largely empty room. There were practically more staff than customers, yet they were absolutely not tuned in to those customers before them. We finally left-- never having been offered so much as a menu. Out of all the restaurants in the resort this is probably the worst one. Terribly slow service and extremely mediocre food. Sat there for like 15 min waiting for a server to show up (it was dead) just to be asked if we're just hanging out? What? Finally manage to order and instead of just doing everything at once he decides to go back and forth 15 times to grab stuff with intermission long times in between. No napkins, no silverware. No plates. Had to ask for literally everything. Food was extremely mediocre as well for how much they charge. Do not recommend the flatbread. Basically just wet dough and sauce. Looks were deceiving. After we finally manage to get everything we needed the server just disappears and never shows up again. Had to go up to the front and tell him I want to pay right there and now. He asks if I want to pay with card and then just starts charging it. I was like hey how much is everything? Is there a breakdown or what? Nothing. Long story short, will not be going there again. Also ordered a dessert the night before and it was just a piece of pie and it took them around 25 min to bring it out. I recommend sticking to the Mountain View restaurant. It's more expensive but way more worth it. Service is much better. read more

Staff was very friendly, but the service was extremely slow. After we ordered, I had drank 2 $7 beers and waited about a half hour for the food to come. My wife got a fruit side, which was mostly melon. I got the $18 Cheyenne burger, which was good but did not justify its price tag. Price and slow service will prevent us from returning. read more
