We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!

The outdoor tub was outstanding. To top things off you can control everything from your normal switch plates/light switch. We reserved the Rio Vista suite along with the attached beach bungalow so each had our own rooms downstairs. The back slider opened onto a sandy beach area with gorgeous views and a pool. We took day trips to Grass Valley and Placerville and had an amazing time. Spent the last half of our last day there sitting outside, looking at the views and enjoying the sunshine. The owners are amazing... They delivered breakfast to our doors each morning and boy were they delicious. I am definitely bringing my husband back so that he can enjoy this place and the surrounding areas as much as I did.

While it's a bit of a distance to the actual venue, it was well worth it for the quiet, calm and very relaxing environment. Beautiful property and I wish I had time to use the pool outside. We stayed in the Bella Vista honeymoon suite. I loved it. It allowed my husband and I to talk. There's a calming and clarifying vibe to the room and the place in general. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area 100%. I think about this place from time to time. I actually miss it!

The meals were uber fresh (filling enough that we skipped lunch both days!). Every day around 5 you're treated to wine and cheese. Perfect location to wine taste on property or venture out to the growing number of top rated wineries. Walk amongst the vineyards or take out one the beach cruisers or trikes for a ride around. Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. The reservation process was easy, and she made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. We found a list of local restaurants on the dining table, which was very helpful. (Tip: If you're going downtown for dinner, don't drive -- it's a nice walk from the inn, plus it's hard to find parking downtown.) The inn is in a quiet area, and we slept quite well in Lola's room. In the morning, the breakfast Janet made was incredible! Egg and cheese croissant sandwiches with fresh basil, thick sliced bacon, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. One of the best meals I've ever had! The grounds are lovely. There is a pool and a hot tub, and plenty of places to sit and relax outdoors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much that I wish we could have stayed longer! The setting is idyllic and the B&B itself is a beautiful, sprawling house with 4 guest bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two of the rooms have private, in room bathrooms. The other two room share a bathroom that can be accessed by either room. If one couple occupies one of the rooms then the other room is left empty so that the bathroom can be private. However, if 2 couples wanted to occupy the two rooms they could share the bathroom on request. The rooms are meticulously clean and well-appointed. Each room has it's own theme and all rooms have charming views. There is a great hot tub outdoors under the stars. It is always surprising how many stars you can see when you are not surrounded by light pollution! The proprietors, Alicia and Guy, are very friendly and welcoming and make your stay just that much more enjoyable. Alicia is a fabulous cook and the breakfast is so good you will be talking about it for weeks. Sierra Sun Cloud Inn is a great place to go on a honeymoon, anniversary, romantic retreat, or just for a fun night away!

The photos and room description was different depending on what site you looked at. There is a steep staircase to get up to the upper rooms so if stairs are an issue, book one of the downstairs rooms We had the Stafford suite and it was amazing. Nicely decorated and again, that bed was so so comfy. If you are under 5'8" you may need a step stool to get in the bed! It can be noisy with the freeway and train nearby but we weren't bothered by it. There is a huge fountain outside the window that helps. This would be a great place for a small wedding or family reunion... the whole place is inviting and cozy. I am sure the grounds are gorgeous in the spring! They do not offer breakfast so we brought some muffins and fruit and enjoyed our coffee in the parlor... you do have full use of the kitchen so If you want to cook, you can. The owners are very prompt to reply if you have questions and check in was a breeze! We will most definitely be back!
