Wonderful hotel on the American River. Great location with lounge chairs on the bank of the river. Clean rooms, nicely appointed. Owners have done a great job updating the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and again.

Absolutely stunning views from room 21!!

Awesome stay, the place was clean and the staff were very friendly. Definitely will stay here again

Such a cute, little inn. Rooms have everything you need and quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff. Beautiful river right by the inn

The river looks lovely from the motel

Omg we had the best weekend getaway here!!! The river was so peaceful you could climb out on the rocks and just sit and enjoy or hang out on the chairs they have alongside the shore. They even have a swimming hole spot but way too cold for me now but there was a cold plunger getting in everyday. We met the owner Craig and he was awesome and manager Chris and staff very helpful. They are doing tons of work remodeling and have big plans for the place construction stopped around 4-5pm and nothing on the weekends so worked out perfect. Room was clean and they offered us wine and beer when we arrived. Later I met Jay and Diane and they were cooking and invited us to eat dinner with them and the staff. We accepted and it was awesome, great food and conversation. Chris the manager has lived up here for many years so he was full of information and turns out my fiancé and him worked at the same company many years ago, so they reminisced, Small world! Anyhow very reasonable rates, great service, clean comfortable place to stay with the beauty of the river and some solitude. Great place to come to get away, we were lucky to be invited to dinner but I'm sure that's not the norm so plan ahead there's not much nearby so pick something up on the way. I did a little gold panning and I heard that the fishing was great out back too (Craig had offered us poles earlier) I saw a few guys from across the river fishing while I was panning. Can't wait to see what they do to the place, so far it's great. Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality!

We were very pleased with our stay at Sierra Inn. The rooms were newly upgraded and they were impeccably clean. The river is right there, and it was nireally relaxing to just sit by the river and have wine with our family, which BTW the wine was supplied by Sierra Inn. They also had bonus breakfast muffins and were super generoud with bottled water and anything else we could ask for. This is a high service, quality place for a great price. We skied Sierra at Tahoe and were happy with the mountain (much less crowded as the big resorts with plenty of slopes for even us kinda-block-diamond-skiers). And Moon's is only a mile away and you can't beat the friendly food there. We will be back!

Comfy beds, friendly staff, good location! The creek, right next to the motel, is divine. Enjoy!

Thank you Sierra Inn!!! We had a beautiful Fathers Day get away. Customer Svc is 100% and our room was nice, clean and comfy it was like a home away from home. Loved the extras Bbq grill, Tables, Chairs, Fire Pit, River and lots of open space to relax and enjoy nature. The pictures on the website is nothing compared to what we experienced it's so much more. I'm happy I choose to stay here and we will be back very soon.

Place to eat and the fire pit available

3-4 times a year it never disappoints ....they offer a place to cook near the river or just bring food already prepared..... the place is relaxing fire pits available... only 30 mins to South Lake Tahoe.. enjoy

One time I found a giant tampon in my bathroom. Then I found where are you staying on my sheet, but this last time was the worst. One roll of toilet paper in the room, my pillow smell like perfume, but worst of all was a lack of respect and derogatory racist feelings I felt when I was outside at the vending machine. I was feeding money to the machine and the door to left me burst open. One of the managers or owners stepped out and looked at me. Right off the bat he asked what are you doing here? Why are you here? He demanded "do you have a room here" and I said yes. He said yes which one and questioned my honesty. He thought it was some kind of homeless bum. I told him which room I was in and he asked me twice more to verify it. I've never been so humiliated in my life. These guys are horrible human beings.. I'll never go again. Avoid like the plague.

David and Karen, the owners, are so sweet and welcoming. The inn is dog friendly, as there is a fully functioning outdoor patio area you can eat meals at. If you're looking for a peaceful, romantic, and memorable retreat, Eden Vale Inn is your place! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.

A very comfortable and quiet little cottage. Although, the bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower. There are no tvs in the cottages and the WiFi is a little dodgy. Cell phone reception isn't the best either. I think what I am getting at is that you can really disconnect when you say at La Honda Park. You are forced to communicate with your loved ones. The cottages are only equipped with a microwave. If you want to cook something more robust, there is a communal kitchen in the pool house. Believe me, it has everything you need. Also, there are bbqs in just about every common area. Aside from the beautiful grounds and comfortable accommodations, there is the barn. The barn is probably the best part about this place. It has a foosball table, a pool table, poker table, dart board, and a tv. The back doors slide open to a small seating area overlooking Angel Creek. I can't describe it. You just need to experience. The owner are Jenn and Barr. They were so nice. Once we checked in, they left us alone. In fact, they left the property. Besides my family, there was another family staying in the Main House. They were very nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and sit next to the creek and drink my morning coffee.

A gaggle of girlfriends rented three cottages here, as three of us were celebrating our 40th/41st birthdays. The perfect "home base" for staging an attack upon Murphys downtown shopping, dining and wine tasting establishments, or as a leap-off point for local hikes and the gorgeous Moaning and Mercer Caverns. Each cottage is appointed with a gas-fueled faux wood-stove fireplace (easy operation via thermostat), fridge, micro, coffee maker, basic silverware/plates/cups, wonderful showers (great for power-washing off the mud and sweat after a day of rappelling and spelunking!) and extremely comfortable queen beds. Each cottage has its own character, giving the feel of the kind of decor a favorite aunt might select for your family's personal mountain cabin. Extremely clean and comfortable! Hang out by the fire, or chill out on your own front porch overlooking the lawn and creek. Or... ...head over to The Barn, a communal recreation room appointed with an air-hockey table, pool table, kitchen area (including a wine fridge!) and big-screen satellite TV/sat radio. The Barn was recently remodeled, using reclaimed barnwood, corrugated metal (for the ceiling sub-roof) and a pretty brilliant wallcovering that looks like warm old plaster, but is actually recycled craft paper and some sort of natural varnish. Cool! Also, a few relics from the region's mining days. There are board games, darts, books and other stuff to keep the individual, family or small group entertained. There's a large swimming pool (unheated in winter) and a small wading pool adjacent to another community kitchen and outdoor picnic area, and the only thing this area lacks is a hot tub. (Hint, hint!) Finally, there's Cosmo, the biggest, sweetest cat you'll ever want to kidnap. He's not allowed in the cabins, but he'll happily keep you company as you read a book on the porch, or wander up to the beautiful waterfalls behind the barn. He'll also keep score if you want to use the bocce court or horseshoe pits! Parking is limited, so don't expect to haul in ATV trailers or your RVs, but that's about the only con to this wonderful little family-run resort!
