(Sorry don't mean to leave her out ) Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! The places were so chill and relaxing. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, just what we wanted. I texted Bonnie a few times and she always got back to me super fast. Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each day. Bill would refill your OJ and tell you to have a seat as he got coffee refills. When Bonnie was done cooking she came out and then I got to pick her brain about our meals. I love talking food . She was really nice as well and easy to talk to. They are literally around the corner from Abels Farms and are right in the heart of apple hill. Both wineries were no more than a mile away. Rooms are decorated very cute, with different themed rooms. All the amenities are there. Robes and slippers in the closet, a hot tub in a gazebo, and the room was nicely renovated with quality materials used. Super great stay and I recommend them highly.

We were not told this so I set the AC to cool only to find out I had turned the heater on!! I couldn't get the window open at first. When I finally did I realized there was no screen! It's too old and dated for my liking. The bathroom floor is not even and slants terribly. Next time I will hunt down a different hotel for sure!.

We drove in completely unaware that we were about to discover what would become our gemstone, our true getaway. The property is deeply tranquil and serene. Evenings are spent around fire pits with a glass of wine, surrounded by silence except for the sounds of nature. We've baked apple pies from their orchard, enjoyed endless peaceful nights under the stars, and--by the generous allowance of the property owners--explored the land on their ATV simply to wander and take it all in. What truly sets this place apart is the people. Linda and her husband Jim make you feel like family. When I call and say I need a getaway, they always find a way--even during blackout dates. That kind of care is rare and meaningful. Trisha, who maintains the property, is phenomenal, and the grounds are always immaculate. This is a very, very gorgeous retreat tucked right in the middle of Placerville, yet it feels worlds away. Part of me wants to keep it a secret--but it deserves to be known. Our room had a little snack picnic basket, freshly cut flowers, and even a water dish for our dog. When we returned from town after dinner, they had left little chocolates and dog treats on the bed. We also were offered wine and a chocolate torte. This place is not a fru-fru high class establishment. It is a homey, comfortable place. I was comfortable, well-fed, well-looked after, and completely relaxed.

Yelp reviews were sketchy at best, but my brother insisted on giving it a try because he "has had good luck in the past with places like this." After much "negotiation" between us about staying here, I reluctantly agreed. With very full stomachs, we made our way to the hotel in mild snowfall. The snowflakes rushing at the windshield in the dark put me into a bit of a trance - I was beginning to forget about the "iffy" motel we were about to check into..... Upon our arrival, we found the office, and checked in without incident. Were were informed that our room (room number 3), was actually in a different location - apparently there are renovations going on with another hotel, and we were actually staying there. Interesting. With increasing uneasiness, we drove down the road a bit to find our room. After taking a wrong road, and nearly getting stuck in the mud, we finally found it! Indeed, it appeared to be another hotel that was in the process of being renovated - the green pool in the parking lot did nothing to reassure me, however! We eventually found our room and opened the door..... Amazingly, the room was clean, and appeared to be relatively new! I was in shock! The carpeting, bedding, and furniture were clean and spotless. Likewise, the fridge and microwave were new! The real shocker was in the bathroom - the shower was new as well, with a very nice faux rock interior - amazing! The only negative was the complex heater/air conditioning unit. We're were able to figure it out, but I can see other people having a hard time with it - see pics. We both had a wonderfully quiet night, and in the am, we agreed that we had truly found a gem of a place to stay. I was very impressed, and would definitely stay here again! Maybe we got lucky, or maybe my brother is a genius - either way, it was a fantastic stay in snowy Northern California.

She gave me a cheaper room and told me the other one was booked already. I decided just to keep the room because it was late and I was tired. I went to sleep and the next morning I stepped on four nails that were on the floor right when you walk into the bathroom. My foot started to bleed everywhere. I told the manager and he told me to nail them in with hammers, he said the "nails wernt that big" I will post photos of the nail but not my foot I did show the manager both. His words were "it's bs that I was worried about the nail I then pulled out photos of my foot and started arguing with me. After 30 minutes of arguing, he told me that we could have a different room for another night for free. I woke up the next morning and saw that he charged us for the room twice. With three different deposits. I will be contacting the health department because this place has many health code violations Never stay here and never bring your children
