Disappointing Quality, Worse Customer Service
As a first-time customer, I ordered one rick of firewood for delivery. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a costly mistake.
The firewood I received was wet, moldy, and unsuitable for burning indoors. This isn't a minor issue or a matter of personal preference. I paid for firewood I could actually use, not a pile of damp, moldy wood that I now have to deal with.
I didn't inspect the delivery immediately, which I regret. Had I looked it over at the time, I would have told the driver to load it right back up and take it away. But once I discovered the condition of the wood, I contacted the company to complain.
To their credit, they offered to come pick up the wood. However, they refused to provide a full refund. So apparently, their solution to delivering an unacceptable product is to take it back while still expecting the customer to absorb some of the cost. Why should I have to pay for firewood that was delivered in a condition that made it unsuitable for its intended use?
A business should stand behind the quality of what it sells. As a first-time customer, I expected a reasonable level of quality and customer service. Instead, I received wet, moldy wood and a proposed resolution that left me feeling that the company wasn't taking responsibility for the problem.
I would not recommend this company, and I certainly won't be a repeat customer. There are plenty of businesses competing for your money. Find one that delivers a usable product and is willing to make things right when it doesn't. read more
