Schott Services installed a "double" drainage pipe between my 90-year old home and the neighbors to divert downspout water away from the homes. He knew exactly what he was doing, and had everything done in one normal workday. The project required pre-coordination and John ALWAYS punctually answered emails and communicated well. He did exactly what he said he would do, which is not usually the case with contractors in my 30 odd years of hiring them for home projects. He had to trench and move dirt, remove rocks, tree limbs, and debris but nevertheless left the area absolutely neat and clean, i.e. he demonstrated respect for the properties, another quality usually lacking in contractors. John is a dedicated hard-worker, knows his business, and has the ability to "think" on the job to solve unanticipated problems. He earns your trust through knowledge, competence, and a high-level of dedication to doing the very best job he can for you. He did a great job, I had 3 massive piles of trash from a remodel/rental cleanout behind my house, they'd sat there for a long time and were wet, heavy and probably pretty gross. Schott did the job for $400 and in 30 degree weather and did it almost right away (they needed bigger truck for the amount I had at the house). I was a little shocked at the price at first but then when I thought about how big the 3 piles of debris were and how many bagsters it would take (about 3 or 4; so 30 bucks each then 110 for the dumping fee on each of them) It would end up more expensive than having Schott do it, plus I didn't have to do any of the work. They did a great job, looked like they even took a rake to get out the debris and they were smart enough not to take the door that I'd propped up against the house and forgot to bring inside. I just wish I'd known about the demolition services aspect of their company prior to taking 4 months to solo demo the interior of a house I was renovating. Probably could've saved myself some time and wouldn't be working in freezing temps like I am now. read more

My gravel driveway was washing out badly every time we had a hard rain. I came across John's web site when searching for gravel driveway repair and was instantly impressed. I was even more impressed when John was able to come by the same day and give an estimate for installing a French drain along the driveway. He did the work in one day and even spread grass seed and straw over the exposed area, as well as smoothing out the entire driveway where water and traffic had caused rutting. We have have lived in our house for two years. Since we have moved in John has removed several overgrown and unsightly bushes and weeds on our property. Most recently he removed over 20 old scraggly bushes along our driveway (see images). He is quick to respond and one if the nicest guys you will ever meet. Each time he has been to our house we usually chat for a couple minutes just about other things having nothing to do with the job. His pricing is honest and fair. Wonderful experience with this company. Priced 4 different services, Schott's were the first to contact me and the most reasonable pricing. I called them yesterday and they came out and did the job today! I even had to change the time 3 times on them and they accommodated to my time schedule. Taylor was the worker and did an awesome job. I hired John to clear my jungle of a backyard and seed a new lawn. Surprised at how reasonable the price was, I decided to have him clear our side yard as well and pour a new ~650 gravel parking pad. We set the time and place for the next day. He hauled away some heavy old furniture from the upstairs of my house and then went to my Mom's condo where he dug out and hauled away 5 four foot tall old shrubs and then prepared the ground and planted the 6 new shrubs I had already purchased. I contacted John for an estimate and he replied quickly and came out as soon as he could, then came out to do the work just a few days later. I called him in the middle of the week, and he was able to quote the job AND finish it by Saturday. The job entailed the removal of some overgrown landscaping which was about 15 years old.
