We love the ladies at Great Bear Cut. We need to come more often so my kiddo gets used to getting his haircut. They made it seem so easy, versus me giving my child a bowl cut (using literally a bowl lol). Their salon is very clean and designed very cutely. They provide seat belts on their high chairs and tablets for the kids to watch videos and get distracted. They also give away a lollipop and a toy at the end of the visit. i'm glad they were able to accommodate us as a walk-in, but I do miss the ability of calling their salon personally, vs the super automated scheduling service. Fiona cut my daughter's hair today, and it came out so great! We loved the hair glitter and butterfly clips at the end. In my daughter's words, "I was so distracted playing on the tablet that I forgot I was getting my hair cut." The salon itself is super cute and welcoming. Our usual place was fully booked for the holidays, and we needed a last minute haircut for our 2 y.o before a vacation, which is why we booked here. We had a great experience with another stylist in the past, which is why we decided to return. However, this visit did not meet our expectations. The haircut itself was okay, but the appointment felt rushed and only took about 10 mins. It seemed like the stylist was focused on moving quickly to the next client since she was fully booked for the day. I asked for the bottom to be shorter and lightly lined up to match the V shape of his fohawk, but she declined, saying she only does that for a child's 5th haircut or later. This was his 4th, and we had it done elsewhere without issue. I understand that toddlers do not always sit still and that results may not be perfect, but I wish that had been explained and left up to me as the parent instead of dismissed. At $35 plus a generous tip, I expected more time, care, and communication. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

This used to be Snip-Its, and nothing has changed except the name and the interior, it's still the same great place with wonderful stylists. Originally we found this place while I was getting donuts one morning at BC's, and I saw a mom and her son going in while I was coming out. I thought, let's give it a shot, can't be worse than the haircuts I've been attempting. And they do an excellent job, we've been getting our son's haircut here since he was three. We let his hair get a bit shaggy because we like the look of the length on him, but they keep the look and just tidy everything all up in such a great way. The stylists always listen and gave us the exact haircut we're looking for. This is now our little guy's regular spot, and sometimes we even get to snag a donut as a reward afterwards. read more

This is the same shop as Snip-Its, just rebranded. Our son's stylist, Toni, is great and we're so happy many if not all (I don't know everyone) of them are still there so don't worry if you have a favorite and you were worried like us for hot minute :) Toni does a great job cutting our sons hair (thin and straight) with scissors, which is our preference and it grows out very nicely for two months before we need to return. Easy booking and good price, definitely recommend! read more
