She told me all the options such as rinse, Demi-permanent and permanent and told me the pros and cons of each. She didn't try to force anything on me and let me decide. She clearly explained what to expect when I chose just a color rinse and sure enough the outcome was exactly what she said it'll be. During my appointment I also told her I'd been cutting my own hair for years and wanted to keep my length but get rid of as much split ends as possible. She did exactly that and didn't cut too much. I felt like she really listens to what you want and delivers. It made me feel comfortable going shorter the second time and trying a new style. I have tight coily type 4a-c hair and hadn't gotten my hair professionally straighten in over ten years so I was so happy that my hair turned out straight and the second time it lasted it lot longer. I love that she roller sets me first and then blow dried and straightens it. I didn't have any heat damage. Ultimately I love her salon and the experience. It's so relaxing I want to fall asleep. And she keeps the doors locked so not just anybody could walk in. I think anyone that has had bad salon experiences would feel relief knowing that Hazel is a stylist you can trust and you and your hair are in good hands.

My first time was with Michele, and I loved hearing her story and passion about creating a talented and calm space for her art. She is compassionate and great at serving her clients! As a busy stay at home mom, I usually only get my hair done once in a while so having it look good for the long term is a must. Ina answered promptly and the service was efficient. I'd like to add that the shop was Covid safe and Ina was adamant that people who came in respected that. She also took the extra step of making sure that the shop didn't become too crowded. Moreover, my braider (Ina's sister Uma) was very good about helping me protect my scalp from too tight braiding. She was sensitive to my requests and never once complained. I loved her energy. Ina is firm, and after a day in her shop, I can see why. People tend to rudely haggle her over her pricing and she really does not deserve that. I was astounded by how many people came in and tried to convince Ina to let them pay her less than the quoted prices. She and Uma are great at what they do and people need to expect to pay for quality. You'd never walk into Nordstrom or Bloomingdales and ask for a discount. You get what you pay for. I'm very happy with what I paid for and I highly recommend Ina Magic.

Apparently, There was some confusion to where I should have been waiting. They must have 2 waiting rooms; one for the spa side and one for the medical side. Anyway, the ladies that work here seem to be very nice and knowledgable. They told me my consult is $75 and can be used towards a product. I really wasn't expected to buy a product because I just wanted to have a laser used. But I bought 2 things, something they called "jet fuel" and a SPF powder. I scheduled another appointment for a needle rolling appointment. I'll let you know how that goes later!
