This little cafe had a revamp a couple of years ago, and manages to be just stylish enough for Blackheath, while still being comfortable and friendly. There's a chandelier or two and some highbacked woven wicker-type chairs that are surprisingly comfortable. There's local art on the walls for sale, and genuinely friendly service. Which can not be said for another cafe not far from it. But that's another review...
Amazingly, Govett's has a number of gluten free options on the menu of their home-style food, sandwiches and melts, cakes and bikkies, and the coffee's good too. Especially early on a Sunday morning. But, I guess any coffee would be at that point. Still, my hanging out with a friend cafe pick for a morning in the (usually) foggy upper mountains. It may not look as cool as some, but it has heart. And a good coffee, no matter the time. read more
