I felt I needed to be overly nice to cheer her up. Anyways the food .. not incredible ? The pizza crisps up too much at the top so some Pieces taste burnt, the fries are VERY SALTY, expect to leave with chapped lips and feeling bloated. The club with breaded chicken is tooooooo much so I suggest grilled if you get a club, the size of breaded chicken with the bun is too overwhelming and proportions are not good. The pasta was good but no substitutions for the kind of pasta preferred, lastly the Korean wonton chicken appetizer was less than desirable because the wontons tasted like they were fried in old oil. First time at crust and crate so I'm not sure if this is usual food here or an off night. The atmosphere is VERY NICE in here! It's dark and cozy and the washrooms were stocked and clean Limited vegan options, Portobello mushroom burger with cheese that can be taken off, cauliflower wings or pizza without cheese. 2.5 stars rounded up To 3

I loved the dark decor and I had a nice view of the pizza oven. We had Jade as our server and she was great. She was as attentive as she could be as the restaurant was busy on a Friday night! I was really curious about the pastas but I make that all the time. The pizzas seemed interesting and the go-to for here. Average price for one is $23. They are labeled as individual but come out quite large. I would recommend if u don't like leftovers, order 1 pizza between 2 people and an appy. We learned that any day of the week as a CAA member, the deal is $35 for 2 pizzas. Perfect. We ordered drinks. My friend liked her mixed drink. I'm very forgiving with wine but mine tasted like pure vinegar so Jade was happy to swap that out for me. I grabbed a house white instend of the red. I was told the manager also tired that bottle and agreed it was bad .. it all went down the drain. Appreciated the ease of the switch. We each had leftovers to take home in 2 boxes. One meat. One deluxe. The pizza was good but was very floppy/soggy. Reheating it will be interesting. You must try the chili oil on the table. Sooo good. They have none for sale there, sadly or I would have bought some. My only comments would be I'd love to see salt and pepper at the table and the nice table would have looked so nice with a candle on it. It's that kind of place. Great atmosphere, acoustics, fair as the place generates quite a buzz when busy. Would recommend.

Maybe don't cut your cooks before the rush is over next time, you've lost a customer with this behavior. An hour and a half on food times is absolutely ridiculous, and we'll be trying the restaurant across the river next time instead. I can't in good conscience recommend this place to others, I must warn people to stay away, this place cheaps out on labor and it shows in the food times. Our server Rowan was lovely.

More creams and lighter oaks used in the dinning room. It was a pleasant and nice change. The fam and I came here for a family get together and it was fine. I do frequent Moxies in other parts of the city frequently so the menu can get a tad tiring as its stayed pretty consistant over the last couple of years with some minor changes. I decided to try the beet salad which was new to the menu. It was large and it was topped with SO SO SOOOOOo many crispy beets, that they were all stained and stuck to my teeth and lips when I went to the restroom. I had no idea. It is not a "date friendly" salad. I also ordered the espresso martini which was $5.00. It was very potent and tasty, but it didn't come with 3 espresso beans on top which is supposed to be for luck. The hubby had the mahi mahi and I tried the mashed potatoes and they were delish. Service was to the point and not overbearing.

Moxie's fit the bill. I've been to Moxie's before, but only locations in Toronto. They are all kind of the same, which is not a bad thing. The food is consistently good, service is attentive without being intrusive and the ambiance is modern casual. One of my friends was coming from out-of-town and we hadn't seen each other in 7 years, so we were chatting and chatting and the poor server was waiting for us to order. After several attempts she said to close our menus when we were ready to order and she'll take the cue to come over. I thought that was fantastic. And she was super patient with us. I got the Thai Chicken Salad ($25.50). I asked for the salad dressing on the side, and it came as requested. I advised her I was allergic to sesame seeds and poppy seeds and she let me know the manager will come and speak with me, as that is their practice for all allergies. The manager came and let me know that the salad and dressing did not contain sesame or poppy seeds, but there's this crunchy mix they have that they purchase but no longer have the packaging so cannot rule out contact with sesame. We decided that the best option would be to have it on the side and I could visually inspect it and decide whether I wanted to eat it or not. I appreciated their extra attention to allergies. I didn't see any sesame seeds in the crunchy mix, so I added it to my salad (I can tolerate sesame oil, just not actual seeds, so I was confident I'd be fine). I enjoyed the crunchy texture it added. The salad was mostly arugula with maybe some cilantro or other herb. The amount of chicken was very little, but at least it was lean breast meat. It had shredded carrots and red cabbage. Avocado slices, cashews and pumpkin seeds. The dressing was a creamy cashew dressing. I enjoyed the salad. I was going to get some dessert, as I love their mini desserts, especially "bite of brownie" but I was surprisingly too full. My first choice for dining out is always small local independent restaurants. However, I would never object to going to a Moxie's. In fact, I'd say of all the chain restaurants, it's my favourite. Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. (103)

But that's me. I had a smoked meat sandwich that was pomped on the menu as piled high... It wasn't but hey... Inflation is real. Fries. Peeled and freshly made. The gravy I got on the side took me back to my youth. Coleslaw was fine. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The menu was big!
