I ordered a corned beef hash and Swiss omelette as they said their corned beef hash was homemade. It was honestly so bland, I would have preferred canned. I dumped hot sauce on it for some flavor, which I NEVER do. My husband had a cherry shake, which was great and it came out with the extra still in the mixer. He ordered his standard eggs and bacon and those were both great. Again, cute place, great service, I was just disappointed in the food.

The owner was very welcoming. They had real plants spanning the ceiling & they even have a feel inside that is stylish in a sense that has a cultured feel to it. Large booths for bigger families & a section that had a more cafè vibe to it. Needless to say, we did not waste our opportunity with this place, and they serve breakfast all day so i can enjoy their delicious selection even if it's later in the day! We'll be back without question.

This time I'm just over it, I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt but let's be honest this place is surviving because it's the only family restaurant around. The inside is outdated , and the color scheme alone is enough to make you nauseous. All the waitresses act like they don't want to be at work and getting their attention for anything is impossible. This time I ordered simple, veggie omelette comes with American fries and either toast or pancakes. I got pancakes, they were pretty tasty some sort of vanilla in the batter but they were dry. The omelette, was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Not only was it dark in color, the eggs tasted like fridge and all the veggies inside it were old. I'm Just over it, bus lady was sweet though.

The following review is based on experiences before the COVID-19 pandemic:…read more Stopped by this Bob Evans on my way up to Toronto before the pandemic hit. I've been to several Bob Evans locations across the nation and was pleasantly surprised by my visit. I experienced friendly service in a comfortable dining room with clean tables and not too much noise from other diners. Like every Bob Evans location, I love the combination of low prices and abundance of choice available. Here's my thoughts on the different items I tried: Chicken fried steak - Super creamy sauce on nice tender pork with a light breading that doesn't distract from the flavor. Rolls - Super fluffy and full of butter Garden salad - Was nice and fresh though I wish the lettuce as a little more crisp. The croutons were very crunch and I liked how the honey mustard dressing was not too sweet. Green beans - A bit on the soft side, not a huge fan Mashed potatoes - The consistency was a bit gritty for me but it had just the right amount of butter and pepper. Fried chicken - Super crispy and marinated with the right amount of saltiness with a good flavor of buttermilk Hash browns - Cooked nice and meaty with a good crisp Mac and cheese - Tender noodles though the sauce was a bit thin for me Banana bread - Slightly chewy with a strong butter flavor, good amount of nuts Reese's cookie - Large soft cookie with nice aromatic peanut butter infused in the dough and in the candy bit. Overall, the food was served at a fairly good temperature with good prices and large portions. The flavors and textures were a bit better than some other Bob Evans locations I've been to and the service was friendly.

We dined upstairs (Pub on lower level) and had some excellent food. The Garlic Breaded Cheese Curds are amazing (cubed cheese) and recommend either/or Marinara and Ranch. The Pretzel was also very good, but the standout was the bar cheese sauce, which appears more of a creamy fondue than straight cheese wiz and was very flavorful. Main dishes were the Pollock Fish Basket with Fries, Chicken Quesadilla with Lime Rice and the Steak Bites App with a side of Broccoli. Everything was very good,l and the food was hot and service super fast. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and dining right on the lake is always a plus. Plus we didn't have a wait arriving at 6:30ish on a Saturday evening. Bent Prop Pub earned a five star review due to its food, ambiance, staff and being a nice little gem of a restaurant and pub tucked away in a sleepy section of the Eastern shore of Coldwater Lake. Would definitely go back when we are back up in the area.
