The dark wood, massive beams, staircases, vintage clocks and railroad memorabilia give the place a wonderful atmosphere. There are even stained-glass windows that were rescued from a church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I started with the Overseas Railroad, a fruity blue cocktail that was refreshing and dangerously easy to drink. Probably a good thing I wasn't the engineer. My wife ordered the ribeye, which came out sizzling and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the Maple Glazed Salmon with long-grain wild rice and green beans. The salmon was tender and moist, and the sweet maple glaze complemented it nicely. The green beans deserve a special mention because they had just the right amount of crunch and snap. We finished by sharing a warm salted caramel cookie with white chocolate chips and pretzel pieces, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. It was the perfect ending to an excellent meal. Great food in a beautiful old building filled with history. The trains may no longer stop here, but Trainwreck Grill & Ale House gives you a pretty darn good reason to.

It was cooked perfectly but dry aging breaks down muscle fibers and removes moisture for a nutty funky flavor. This one was a miss. There was nothing tender about it. She replaced it was chicken Marsala. I already had my sides so it was just a chicken breast on a big plate with a mushroom gravy. They forget the cream. The chicken was cheap chicken breast that has that funky texture like it's raw but it is clearly fully cooked. Chicken was flavorless. Sauce was good but could have been better with some cream. In laws we're treating us so I didn't send this one back too. They love this place and wanted to bring us here. We went early on a Saturday about 5pm. It was getting very busy as we left. Also, they serve The Chocolate Shop ice cream from Wisconsin which I did not get to try, but it is says super premium ice, which is ice cream on another level. A few examples of super premium include Costco brand vanilla, Trader Joe's vanilla, Members Mark super premium at Sam's, and Aldi Super Premium vanilla. I think the Kirkland is the best.

I asked for it to be warmed up and it was microwaved for ten seconds and given back to me. Not the workers fault, it seems like she wasn't properly informed on that part. If you're looking for food to fill your belly with no expectations of middle eastern flavor, this works. If you've had arabic food anywhere, don't expect the same here. I was really looking forward to this place too because the Lebanese place before it was really good and I thought this would be an improvement, not a downgrade.
