Fantastic food & the lady on the piano is awesome. A little pricey though, so only for special occasions

Went here on a busy Saturday night and was welcomed with open arms by the waiters. This was a great…read morestart to the night. The room was packed and it looked like we got the last two seats available at the time. Looking at the menu, I remember commenting to my wife on how cheap the food was. We ordered our appetisers and mains and sat back and took in everything. Besides the basic Thai décor, the main thing we noticed was the loudness of the chatter in the place. It wasn't the annoying sound of people trying to talk to each other, gradually getting louder; it was the enjoyable sounds of people wholeheartedly enjoying themselves in a great atmosphere. Our Money Bags came out and were swiftly demolished. The pork mince with herbs were lovely. Next our mains, a Yum chicken salad and a panang curry were placed on our table. The presentation was immaculate and the aroma of the meals cut through anything that surrounded us. The food we ate was fresh to taste with enough kick without being too overpowering. The servings were big too. Since that experience we have been back several times, introducing friends to this wonderful restaurant.

Not my worst Thai dining experience but close. The coconut…read morerice was white not yellow and tasted of nothing. The panang curry was like a clear soup with strange meat pieces claimed to be pork. One of our party of 12 got his main 15 minutes after we had all finished ours. Much better Thai places in Redcliffe, Queensland.

JD Thai has to be the best Thai food place I have tasted. They are exactly what Thai should taste…read morelike if yo ask for the right dishes. I love the coconut rice and the range of curry's. Not to mention the restaurant is kid friendly, they also do take away and accommodate large groups. The service is impeccable the chef even comes out to see how your meal tastes which is incredible. The staff are very quick and have the best suggestions if you don't know what you want. I recommend this place to anyone who loves a great Thai dish!

Jd Thai strikes me as a place that I should be sitting down to dinner. On the times that I have…read morepassed through to get pick up dinner for the family the place is always full. Non-the less, my experience of pickup ordering has been pretty good too. If Jd Thai tells me that my order will be ready in fifteen minutes, it will be. If it is a busy night, they will apologise first and give me the approximated waiting time before finalising my order. I appreciate this kind of service and just these small things have cased me to affirm a loyalty to them. Obviously, the main reason for my constant return is because of their dishes, especially the Roast Duck Curry. Now I'm not usually a fan of duck of any kind, but Jd make theirs with an enchanting lychee, pineapple and cherry tomato sauce that makes me wonder what other restaurants are doing wrong. Another favourite of mine to get is the traditional Pad Thai. All the vegetables in the mix are thinly cut and still crispy adding to the overall texture of flat noodles and spicy sauce with protein. So if you get to eat in at Jd Thai, do it, but in my experience its just as good to take home.
