Our silver was in like-new condition and originally came from a highly reputable company. The owner, John, was very professional. On top of that, it came across like she was judging me and assuming I couldn't afford anything. The weird part is her attitude completely changed once I pulled out money to pay, especially when she saw I was paying mostly in cash. That switch-up didn't sit right with me at all. After I left, I realized I didn't even feel good supporting a business where I was treated like that, so I called to ask for a refund. I spoke to her son Mike, and he was actually really respectful and helpful. He had no issue letting me come back, get my stone, and cancel everything. Not long after that, Debbie called me herself. Instead of just hearing me out, she got defensive and kept saying she "didn't even yell," like that's supposed to mean the service was fine. I stayed calm and explained my issue was her attitude, not the price or anything like that. Then she started saying I had an attitude, which wasn't true, and even told me to come get my stone and "take that shit off Yelp"... even though I hadn't posted anything yet. Overall, the experience just felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. The only positive part was Mike being helpful. I wouldn't go back.

We asked if we were able to place an order for a barrel lock to fit a 6mm chains. She then proceeded to say that she needed to call their vendor as he makes the barrel locks. To our surprise, the vendor told the lady that there's no way to make a 6mm barrel lock, only 8mm and above! We both knew that it was full of crap because we had a 5mm barrel lock! Then the lady proceeded to ask us if we wanted to upgrade to an 8mm chain since they had those locks in stock. Hah! Talk about feeling offended, so we decided to leave as we know it was a bunch of bull. If you want trustworthy business, don't waste your time here.

I spoke to the male owner and I explained to him that the gold is nowhere near the same as what I had on the ring and he stated that it was. So I believed him. He said his ring guy was the best, but his ring guy failed to try to make it the way it was. You can tell where the existing gold starts and ends. The added gold creates lots of marks and it feels rough to the touch; I often get little scratch marks with it. The jade is loose, and I don't know where I can go to help fix this issue. When I arrived at their office, it is very streamlined and unfussy, and I liked that, I don't need a lot of fancy flair, I just want a good price and to work with people who are nice and trustworthy. This is a mom & daughter operation and they work so seamlessly together, I was surprised, efficient and heartwarming?! They treat you like family, no joke. Don't be fooled by the current lack of online presence, Aunty Erin has tons of experience AND has 3 different gemology degrees, Aunteh knows her stuff. They also have the prized x-ray machine that can evaluate the composition of gold and metals instantaneously so you can see for YOURSELF exactly what you're working with. She's absolutely clear and transparent about how she works and what you're dealing with. She gave me an EXCELLENT price for my gold, almost twice the value that the other appraiser gave me, who didn't even evaluate the stones? Aaaaaaaaaand, I had a pretty random gold nugget that was about 20 grams. Because it was unusual, and since gold nuggies straight from the earth can contain a lot of quartz, Aunty Erin asked me if it was ok to take the nugget to the assayer to get the exact composition. Tbh, it was a little nerve wracking trusting someone I just met with a 20 gram gold nugget. She asked what she could do to make me comfortable with taking this nugget to the refinery, so we signed a consignment agreement. Let me be clear: I HAVE TRUST ISSUES! I do not trust people easily, this is the only reason I asked for some type of documentation --Aunty Erin did not give off untrustworthy vibes-- it is just me, in this day and age, trust can be hard to build. I was so grateful that she was willing to do anything to put me at ease and so when you have two solid people doing business, building trust is easy. Upon taking the 18k golden nugget, Serra, Aunty Erin's daughter, told me that she would be in communication with me throughout the day about the refinement process and that they should be able to get a check to me by the end of day, latest tomorrow. By the end of day, we had a documented evaluation of the nugget from the assayer and a check in my hand the next day at noon. If you are unsure where to take your valuable pieces for a more than fair price, got to Aunty Erin and Serra, they go above and beyond. Their customer service is exceptional, they treat you with respect and care, they are absolutely transparent and trustworthy and honestly, a delight to work with.
