After doing my own research over the last few months on Tissot watches and not being able to find more than 1 or 2 in stock at my local Dallas, TX chain jewelry stores, I decided to visit stores in Memphis to seek insight and make a selection based on trying a few on. I came to the store two days in a row and received amazing service that exceeded all expectations of any typical buying ceremony I've ever been part of. Normally when I shop, it's very concise as I buy routine products via necessity. This purchase was quite different and symbolic to me in many ways and I am grateful that Bryan was well knowledgeable of the products. He even wore a Tissot watch the day I made my purchase which solidified my trust and his admiration of the brand I had newly become a fan of. The other personnel and management staff in store were friendly, hospitable and engaging with me and my sister as well, which made the process fun and personable. I was beyond impressed with the service and attitudes as well as selection provided by this store. I can't wait to return to Memphis for another visit and I'm already plotting my next purchase largely because of the experience provided by Bryan and crew. THANKS so much!

He is inviting, warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly compassionate - I'm nervous by nature and he assured me that everything would be perfect and this process is going to be exciting. This couldn't be more true. My boyfriend just ordered the engagement ring and I can say with absolute certainty that this experience would have been 100% different without Joshua's guidance. He gives phenomenal customer service, has a knack for design (he sketched out my dream ring the very first time we met - I didn't even know I had a dream ring), and it doesn't feel like he's trying to "sell" us anything. We went from clueless to confident after meeting with him just a couple of times. We haven't known him long, but my partner and I would both consider Joshua a friend. He is talented, incredibly patient, and is still providing us with an amazing experience during such an exciting moment in our lives. I cannot thank him enough.

Does this in anyway speak to the value, professionalism, or quality of it being a jewelry store and watch repair shop? No. Credit where merit earns it. Merit well deserved, at least in my opinion.

Short story: I 100%, without any hesitation, recommend James Gattas Jewelers for any jewelry needs…read moreyou may have. Long story: My fiance bought a size 6 engagement ring, but I am a 4.5. Needless to say, when he proposed, the ring almost fell off my finger. We were absolutely devastated. The first jeweler we went to said we could not resize it to what I needed. We then read reviews of James Gattas Jewelers online, and decided to take it in. When we walked in the store, we were immediately helped by one of the kindest sales workers I have ever met, a lovely gentleman named Dylan. I had read online that resizing my ring down 1.5 sizes might be complicated given that the ring was platinum with delicate diamonds halfway around the band on each side. Dylan was both reassuring and competent, and told me that my ring would be perfect when they returned it to me. He said they would check all the diamonds to make sure they were securely in place and looked the same as when I brought it in. I trusted him completely. To make matters more complicated, we brought the ring in on 12/20/17. I was going out of town at 6 am on 12/26, and I needed my ring before I left. I asked if there was any possibility that I could have my ring returned to me before Christmas. The owner, James Gattas, told me that he would personally take care of it, and I would have my ring by Christmas Eve afternoon. Like Dylan, he was extremely reassuring and helpful. Imagine my surprise, then, when I got a call on 12/22 mid-afternoon telling me that my ring was finished, a full 2 days early! When I picked it up, it looked exactly the same as when I dropped it off- it was beautifully and perfectly resized. I am not an emotional person, but I had tears in my eyes when James Gattas shook my hand and told me Merry Christmas. Their exquisite work, kind manner, and dedication have made me, my fiance, and all of my family members loyal customers for life. Thank you so much.

I will for sure be back the next time I'm at the Peabody. The only thing I might add is the first time I went into the store was on the previous Saturday. I had seen a ring (not the one I ended up buying on Tuesday) in one of the display cases in the lobby of the hotel. A different lady was working then around 4:30 in the afternoon and she was vacuuming when I went to the store to ask about the ring. She was very polite and offered to walk me back down to the display to see the ring. She allowed me to try the ring on but it was too small. She didn't offer any help on possible re-sizing and did not offer to show me anything else I might have liked that was similar. She just was quiet and put the ring back in the display so I thanked her and left. I would have ended up buying two rings from Gir while in Memphis if she had done either of those things. Thank you!
