The Children's Depot is a very clean facility - I am amazed at how often I see the teachers cleaning surfaces, floors and toys. My son has learned so much, too! For a while, he was signing things to my husband and me, and we were having to Google what my son was saying to us. Several times, I have decided that I wanted to teach him something, only to find out that he already knew the concept (left vs right, counting 1-10, ABCs). Also, I have noticed that several daycares in the area require parents to bring 3-4 prefilled bottles for infants on a daily basis, which can end up being a lot of work for new parents. At Children's Depot, we were allowed to keep 3-4 bottles and formula/breast milk in the classroom. This was a HUGE help for my husband and me. Before we started at The Children's Depot, we were spending a minimum of 30 minutes each might washing bottles. Overall, this daycare has been a big blessing for my family.

When we mentioned that he now has good grades and should probably stop attending he was all upset and refused to do that because he loves getting alternatives way of doing math from the way he learns in class. Mr Vane is the heart of Mathnasium, he really makes math fun for kids with his different ways of teaching it and all his little "tricks" he teaches them. The fact that he is always present makes a very big difference on the tutors who know they can't goof off and need to do their best teaching. I was very fortunate to have been invited to Carnegie Elementary for a presentation on their…read moreartificial intelligence reading program, Amira. I taught a variety of subjects including a phonics based reading program. I am excited to see what artificial intelligence has done for phonics based reading. I'm even thinking about applying to substitute teach. A number of state legislators, a school board member, and the superintendent of Oklahoma schools were there. We were allowed to observe several classrooms where children were using this program. The teacher would be at a table working with a small group of children. The other children in the class were working on the Amira program on their laptop computers. All were totally engaged. I was impressed watching our state superintendent, Ryan Walters, interact with the teachers and children. I had gotten the impression from the media that Walters was really mean to the teachers. My daughter is still teaching and I didn't want anyone to be mean to her. It was quite the opposite. He had great rapport with the teachers and administrators. They seemed to like him and he praised them for the good work they were doing. Carnegie is an excellent school and I have hope other schools in Tulsa and all of Oklahoma will follow in its footsteps.
