Before enrolling my child for a 3-day program at Goddard, my spouse and I met with Jamie (the owner) and staff members, along with my child's ABA therapy team to discuss expectations. (We and our therapy team met with facility staff again prior to enrollment.) Initially Jamie assured us they could accommodate a child with special needs. However, that was not the case. Challenges soon surfaced. At a morning drop off, my child became upset I was leaving. Instead of the teacher redirecting her, the teacher told me my non-verbal child "didn't like it in here" and offered no assistance so I could leave the class. It was suggested instead that I could drop off my child at a later time (8:30am) so her homeroom teacher could take care of her, which conflicted with ADA guidelines. This issue continued and multiple times it was suggested to us that we drop off our child at 9am when a teacher would be available in my child's home classroom. When my wife told Jamie that a 9am drop off does not work for us, Jamie actually suggested my wife work with front office staff regarding scheduling. Then when I brought this issue to Jamie weeks later, Jamie said she didn't know staff had suggested we bring our child at a later time, yet she would not solve the issue. The initial care in my child's home class was great with 3 dedicated teachers. But after staffing changes, the quality noticeably declined. This was confirmed by our child's BCBA (part of my child's therapy team) who came to Goddard multiple times to observe/train staff at our request. When the BCBA brought this to the attention of office staff, Courtney told the BCBA there had been no decline in service but that a "wall" had been built between myself and the staff, which she claimed affected their ability to work with my child. Our BCBA expressed concern over the focus on parental issues rather than addressing my child's needs directly. Office staff member, Whitney, asked my wife about our child's sleep habits. According to the teacher, Whitney had a child in the class, was upset her child wasn't napping, and felt my child was the cause. The teacher told the Whitney our child does not nap, a topic that was discussed with staff prior to enrolling, but Whitney felt it necessary to ask my wife. I told Jamie and the other owner, Chevelle, this question wasn't appropriate for office staff to ask a parent as they are not in the classroom. They said they didn't know why she asked that and claimed that Whitney did not have a child in the class at that time. Inappropriate questions about my child's potential placement in a General Education were raised by my child's new teacher Victoria during one of the BCBA observation/training sessions for the Goddard staff. The BCBA clarified that such decisions would be based on evaluations by the public school system, not by the daycare or parents' desires. Despite these challenges, the BCBA committed to aiding the training of this teacher and ensuring expectations for my child within the school setting were clearly communicated. In my final interaction with Goddard, Jamie called me on a Tuesday night to say she was disenrolling my child, effective immediately--no discussion. She cited communication issues with the parents was the reason, however she also included a serious accusation that I "brushed" past front office worker Courtney, which I felt was implied as assaultive. This accusation, never previously mentioned, was raised right after the decision to disenroll my child, which I strongly contest as I do not recall making contact with anyone at the facility besides my child. Ultimately, without discussion, the enrollment was terminated immediately. The lack of care and effective communication, coupled with the abrupt dismissal of a child with special needs, leads me to strongly advise parents to consider other more professional, accommodating, and communicative childcare options.

My child enjoys going to school and has made connections with his teachers. The staff members take the time to get to know your child and his/her interests. The curriculum is tailored to your child's interest and encourages curiosity. There are also opportunities for exploration, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and cooperation with activities in the classroom. I had a friend whose daughter was in the Kindergarten class and had nice things to say about it. My husband and I toured it and I didn't get warm fuzzies right away from the director, Connie, but we moved forward with the enrollment process because we needed child care asap. Right away we did tell the director that our daughter has multiple severe food allergies and we filled out all the appropriate paperwork and provided her benadryl and epi-pen right away. FIRST INCIDENT: Not even two months after enrollment, we picked up my daughter on a Friday and after an hour being home she started breaking out in hives everywhere. She didn't have anything to eat at home. My husband had to give her the epi-pen. Right away, I sent an email to the director and let her know what happened. Connie let us know that her normal teachers weren't in the class that day, it could have been possible that someone gave her something she wasn't supposed to have. Of course by Monday the people we talked to couldn't remember if she ate something. The learning moment from that was that a teacher would sit by her at every meal/snack. My daughter was in the older infant class and we liked her teachers in there, never had problems. It wasn't until the summer of this year problems started happening. She moved into the younger toddler class, her teachers in there were also nice and loving to the students. This summer the owner decided to sell their Castle Montessori to Cadence Education. The director, Connie, left and the admin left not long after her. The new director, Ms. Nilima, was not approachable and very cold in those first weeks, maybe up to a month. She never made eye contact when my daughter and I entered the building. How could you not acknowledge who enters the building, especially at a child care facility?! During the summer we enrolled my Kindergartener here for their summer program. WORST program ever! We paid weekly tuition that was supposed to include weekly field trips, which some were cancelled due to the weather but nothing was every rescheduled. It was a waste of money. The final straw was when my daughter had ANOTHER allergic reaction!!! They claimed that she woke up in hives, ok, the director called us multiple times (I work in an area where I can't have my phone with me), she didn't leave my husband and I voicemails. My husband called back and the person on the phone just asked if they can give my daughter benadryl and of course he said yes. He decided to go to the school and they did NOTHING. She was covered in hives, she should have been given her epi-pen based on the emergency plan we provided. Ms. Nilima wasn't around, and my daughter was in her classroom, with her teachers putting her eczema lotion on her. She should have at least been at the front office being monitored for anaphylaxis. Multiple emails were exchanged after this incident. The director's responses were just appalling, with no empathy, and thinking she knows better than what a doctor says to do in an emergency. We pulled her out immediately, there was NO WAY we could trust this place every again. We had a meeting with the director a few days after the incident, she finally apologized and took full responsibility. She mentioned her staff will go through more training, but the damage was done. We demanded our full deposit back and never looked back. What really got me fired up was when I asked the director if they were going to self report themself to the state regarding this incident. Her response was no because an ambulance or ER visit didn't occur....WTF?!?!? Herself and the staff was clearly not capable of handling the situation.....or reading an emergency plan and FOLLOWING it. Honestly, I hope every parent reads this and stays far, far, away! This incident happened end of August this year and still makes my blood boil.

Castle Montessori is a wonderful school. My daughters are thriving. Ms. Sowmya is so caring and…read morewonderful with my daughter. I tried two different "Montessori" schools before Castle. A lot of schools claim to be Montessori but really do not follow through with the model. Castle is truly a Montessori school. The teachers are wonderful with communication. My daughters are very busy and learning in the classroom. They do various activities with the kids. They also do events through the year like cook outs or grandparents day lunch. It's very safe environment. We are so happy at Castle Montessori!

We have had our little one at Crème since he was about 10 months old. He is now 4 and I can…read morehonestly say putting him in Crème was the BEST decision we could have made. Here is just a quick breakdown of why. Academics: Our son has been reading since he was 3. He knew his alphabet since 10 months. I kid you not. While he is a very smart child, the teachers and administrators have gone above and beyond to make sure he was always learning, not just playing or being entertained. They always ensure he is consistently challenged and that was extremely important for us to have partners and at home, we could expand upon what he was learning. This year he started writing and it is so impressive to see how far he has come. He is writing alone, reading anything in front of him, and ready to take on more and he doesn't even start kindergarten until next year! Curriculum: My son takes Spanish, art, STEM classes, and more. Previously, he has done the extra curricular sports class as well. He is so engaged in learning now, he comes home wanting to do more science experiments. He brings art home all the time. They have a full daily schedule with 2 outside breaks. It was important to us that we have our child in a place that he can experience a lot and not just sit in one room all day. Another school we visited, we noticed how if it rains, the kids have zero change of scenery. Creme is the opposite of this in the best way. Even if it rains they have a smorgasbord of activity rooms for the kids. Safety: This was one of our top concerns. I love that no one can just walk into the school. Someone is always at the front to make sure no one is just let in. You use your fingerprint as added safety. If my son has ever had an accident, they call me right away to let me know and explain details that always match my son's word after. I completely trust them. As a first time mom, I don't trust anyone with my child so that let's you know how much trust I have built with them. I also love that the playground is completely covered from surrounding neighbors so strangers cannot see them play. Staff: Everyone is SO kind, genuinely care about the kids, and great to the parents. They listen, communicate, and create a fantastic environment. Every teacher and staff member my son has had has made a lasting impression on my family. Administration: I love Bridget, Megan, and Zoey to pieces. We get messages through the app or I love that Bridget can text me anytime she has a quick update. You can see how much they love our kids, the teachers, and the parents. They have never taken a question or concern of mine lightly and you couldn't ask for a better group to run the school. Facilities: As I mentioned, we started creme about 3 years ago or so. This is our second location in that time and the building, playgrounds, culinary kitchen for kids, mini play city, bowling alley, theater, indoor and outdoor courts, disco room, library, and even the classrooms are all where creativity go to thrive! I was blown away from day one. On our first visit, my son literally cried because he wanted to start going right then. Our expectations have only been exceeded since then. Food: Everything is prepared there and they give a breakfast and evening snack plus lunch. All of the food is healthy but tasty (from what I hear lol). The always send a snack for the ride home as well! Thanks to the incredible Ms. V and team for the great food choices that have allowed my son to expand his palate. I am sure there is a lot I am missing but we can't say enough about what a fantastic school this is. Go for a visit to see. I've witnessed troubling incidents that raise serious concerns about their practices. One alarming example is when a two-year-old was left outside without supervision, and the parents were never informed. This incident was not reported to licensing, and when questioned, the leadership continued to lie about what happened. It's disheartening to see such a lack of accountability. Additionally, I've heard young teachers discussing personal details about other children with parents, including my own. This is a blatant violation of privacy and trust. In another troubling situation, a male teacher was left alone in the bathroom with a four-year-old girl, and the director, Ashley, concealed this information from the child's mother. Let alone the countless times they were outside ratio of kids while teachers covered the front desk while leadership hadn't come in for the day or was spending time with them. In all these instances, parents were never informed. The emotional, physical, and mental toll on my children from being in this environment has been significant. I urge all parents to reconsider their choice of daycare and seek a place where children's safety and well-being are genuinely prioritized. Please, do your research and don't rely on the state site (these leaders do NOT self report) and look elsewhere for your child's care.

The teachers and staff are incredibly loving, caring, and attentive, and they have truly made her feel special and cared for. She originally attended Stonebridge for daycare, and when it came time for Pre-K, we knew we wanted to keep her there. After receiving an education scholarship from TEFA, choosing Stonebridge for her Pre-K year was an easy decision. We actually live about 30 minutes away, but the drive is completely worth it because of the care, attention, and love Alexandria receives every day. As a grandparent, having a place where you genuinely feel that your grandchild is safe, happy, and loved means everything. We are so thankful for the teachers and staff at Stonebridge Academy and would absolutely recommend them to other families!
