The entire staff team at this school is incredible. Our twins are learning and having fun every single day! Ms. Alba and Ms Dominque always have a smile on their face when they greet us and the kids each day. We can tell that the teachers focuses on each of our kid's strength as all kids are not created equal. One twin is more analytical and the other is more expressive. They have definitely thrived in a short amount of time under the direction of the teachers here. We plan to keep our kids here for kindergarten so when they start public school, they will be a few steps ahead of other kids.

Oh how I wish I could give this place NEGATIVE stars!…read more My daughter started attending this place when she was less than a year old (August 2022). I had a friend whose daughter was in the Kindergarten class and had nice things to say about it. My husband and I toured it and I didn't get warm fuzzies right away from the director, Connie, but we moved forward with the enrollment process because we needed child care asap. Right away we did tell the director that our daughter has multiple severe food allergies and we filled out all the appropriate paperwork and provided her benadryl and epi-pen right away. FIRST INCIDENT: Not even two months after enrollment, we picked up my daughter on a Friday and after an hour being home she started breaking out in hives everywhere. She didn't have anything to eat at home. My husband had to give her the epi-pen. Right away, I sent an email to the director and let her know what happened. Connie let us know that her normal teachers weren't in the class that day, it could have been possible that someone gave her something she wasn't supposed to have. Of course by Monday the people we talked to couldn't remember if she ate something. The learning moment from that was that a teacher would sit by her at every meal/snack. My daughter was in the older infant class and we liked her teachers in there, never had problems. It wasn't until the summer of this year problems started happening. She moved into the younger toddler class, her teachers in there were also nice and loving to the students. This summer the owner decided to sell their Castle Montessori to Cadence Education. The director, Connie, left and the admin left not long after her. The new director, Ms. Nilima, was not approachable and very cold in those first weeks, maybe up to a month. She never made eye contact when my daughter and I entered the building. How could you not acknowledge who enters the building, especially at a child care facility?! During the summer we enrolled my Kindergartener here for their summer program. WORST program ever! We paid weekly tuition that was supposed to include weekly field trips, which some were cancelled due to the weather but nothing was every rescheduled. It was a waste of money. The final straw was when my daughter had ANOTHER allergic reaction!!! They claimed that she woke up in hives, ok, the director called us multiple times (I work in an area where I can't have my phone with me), she didn't leave my husband and I voicemails. My husband called back and the person on the phone just asked if they can give my daughter benadryl and of course he said yes. He decided to go to the school and they did NOTHING. She was covered in hives, she should have been given her epi-pen based on the emergency plan we provided. Ms. Nilima wasn't around, and my daughter was in her classroom, with her teachers putting her eczema lotion on her. She should have at least been at the front office being monitored for anaphylaxis. Multiple emails were exchanged after this incident. The director's responses were just appalling, with no empathy, and thinking she knows better than what a doctor says to do in an emergency. We pulled her out immediately, there was NO WAY we could trust this place every again. We had a meeting with the director a few days after the incident, she finally apologized and took full responsibility. She mentioned her staff will go through more training, but the damage was done. We demanded our full deposit back and never looked back. What really got me fired up was when I asked the director if they were going to self report themself to the state regarding this incident. Her response was no because an ambulance or ER visit didn't occur....WTF?!?!? Herself and the staff was clearly not capable of handling the situation.....or reading an emergency plan and FOLLOWING it. Honestly, I hope every parent reads this and stays far, far, away! This incident happened end of August this year and still makes my blood boil.

A lot of schools claim to be Montessori but really do not follow through with the model. Castle is truly a Montessori school. The teachers are wonderful with communication. My daughters are very busy and learning in the classroom. They do various activities with the kids. They also do events through the year like cook outs or grandparents day lunch. It's very safe environment. We are so happy at Castle Montessori!

It went from being one of the best Montessori's in the area to a nightmare. Classes are without Lead teachers for months, teacher turnover is extremely high, zero communication from the school about events and changes to the school calendar made last minute without any consideration for parents. The new director is not receptive to feedback from parents, and it seems to be common practice for newly hired teachers to scream, shout and use inappropriate language to control the children. All the above concerns were brought up with the director several times, but she did nothing to address the concerns! Please stay away from this Montessori, parents!

Ms Faye and all her teachers are caring, loving, and take amazing care of my kids. Coming back to the school after the gap, still ALL the same teachers who cared for my daughters are still at the school. You will never find such consistency at any other school. We are blessed to have found such a gem of a school to help partake in bringing up intelligent, well mannered kids. My three older girls all learned reading at age 4, and I'm sure with this environment, my son will have all the same opportunities. Have a visit and see for yourself!

Our experience has been extremely pleasing. In addition to our grandson having been taught effective socialization skillsets and being prepared educationally to proceed to kindergarten, it is gratifying to think that these people truly do care for the little lives entrusted to them and that they go the extra mile. A case in point...recently our grandson unfortunately was not able to attend the "graduation" ceremony the school was having. With no prompting from our grandson's father, when he went to school the following Monday, the school personnel took the time to dress him up in his cap and gown, take pictures in front of the graduation backdrops, and then sent those pictures to our son for future reference and memories. Our sincere appreciation goes out to those involved in doing so. From our experience, and there have been others, we would highly recommend Daffodils Preschool.

Although Wonderland was the furthest from our house in Allen (20 min each way) and we passed direclty past 4 other schools on our way there every morning we picked Wonderland. For the last two years they have exceeded our expectations every day. Our daughter started when she was just under two. Immediately her vocabulary grew exponentially. She also showed increased focus and started thinking of others, using words like please and thank you routinely. Her social skills improved and her personality blossomed. She was fully potty trained before her 3rd birthday. As she continued to attend she started doing things like getting her own breakfast of berries and cheerios (at 3 years old). EVERY member of the staff truly cares and does their job because they love kids and believe in the Montessori method. The facilities at the school are second to none. Last month we had to move to Austin for my job. Since the move we have toured 7 schools, all more expensive, and none with the staff or facilities Wonderland has. Wonderland is something truly special for kids in McKinney.

I must admit that I made my decision to enroll my child at this school asked off some of the…read morereviews mentioned, etc. the truth of the matter is "Don't believe the hype!" Wonderland Montessori School in McKinney has tremendous factors that I as well as any parent would find intolerable I feel the teachers' appearances should be professional and most importantly appropriate for a school environment. The type of money I've paid for my child's education should respectfully be looked upon as me being a parent with standards. However the kids at Wonderland get to view their teachers with body piercings, see thru provocative shirts and tops, and multiple tattoos over their bodies. The Montessori should be called daycare because of the fact the children are not receiving a quality Montessori curriculum let alone structure. Children are behaving wildly, having complete control over their classroom, hitting teachers as well as other kids with multiple objects, clearly substantiating dismissal from such a "quality" school. There seems to be no planning of events that involve the parents and their kids. Communication is not consistent, let alone any communication of any kind whatsoever. I have found on several occasions staff members not present in specific key areas where they clearly should be. Who holds a conference with parents in the "hallway," who throws events together spur of the moment? Clearly there is no leadership at this school. Clearly there is no set guidelines for the classroom structure and curriculum, and clearly the communication I have rec'd in talking to multiple parents is that we are no longer going to "Wonder" What in God's name is happening at that damn school...Wonderland...and it's no "Wonder" why I like many other parents are headed outta there and enrolling in a proper environment such as Starwood Montessori in Frisco, where my money is being used for a good cause- my kid! Teachers are in uniforms, there is structure in the classroom, the setting is truly a "school-atmosphere." If you are a parent wanting to feel good about your child's education in a Montessori environment you need to steer clear of that circus act called Wonderland!
