My niece attends this school in the 4-year-old classroom. Recently, she came home complaining that her arm was hurting and stated that Ms. Sandy took her into the bathroom and pinched her under the arm. The incident was reported to the director, but the only action taken appears to have been filing a report and moving her to another classroom. At four years old, my niece is fully capable of communicating what happened to her, and the physical marks supported her statement. Despite this, the teacher is still employed at the school. We were also informed that the cameras are only monitored live and do not record footage, which raises serious concerns regarding accountability and student safety. As a parent or family member, this situation is extremely disturbing. I would not recommend this daycare based on how this matter was handled. I believe incidents involving allegations of physical harm toward a child should be taken far more seriously and investigated thoroughly. I intend to follow up with the appropriate state agencies to request a formal inspection and review of this facility. No child should ever feel unsafe in a learning environment, and no teacher accused of inappropriate physical conduct should remain in the classroom without a proper investigation. read more

My daughter has been attending the learning experience since September 2023 and she's loved every minute of it!! She started off in toddler where her teacher Ms. Nunu worked we us to get her potty trained! All of the teacher are great and loving ! I can't say enough good things about this daycare. From the very first day, the staff made my children feel welcomed, safe, and cared for. They treat the kids like family, and it shows in how happy and excited my little ones are to go every morning. The teachers are patient, loving, and truly dedicated to helping the kids learn and grow. I've noticed so much progress in my children's social skills, confidence, and learning since they started here. The communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel reassured knowing my kids are in great hands. I'm very happy with this place. The equipment and toys they have are really good and up to date. They provide healthy lunch food and healthy snacks for kids. Every activity is a fun/learning experience. I like the projector work my kids do because it feels like an iPad so they feel like it's a game, however, it's an educational activity. I really appreciate the kind and patient teachers with both my son and my daughter. The summer camp is great. Especially taking kids on field trips and making it a fun experience overall. My son is stubborn a bit and mostly wants to stay home for the summer and for him to be enjoying and wanting to go to daycare makes me happy. One last thing is The staff made the registration process so smooth and easy. read more

I was shocked to see as I made a sudden visit to this center in Mckinney.My Baby was sleeping near the bathroom and after complaining several times they put other kid there.Teachers are not good .Rude.They make your toddler sit the whole day.No studies nothing. We love this school!! Our baby started a couple months ago and we have had the best experience since day one. We started our hunt for daycares months before she was born and this was the first place we toured. We were very impressed but wanted to do our due diligence so we toured three others in the area that were nice but did not have the warm welcoming staff that truly sets TLE Mckinney above the rest. We absolutely love the staff! I look forward to her growing older and getting to play in the indoor play area that is a mini city. It looks awesome and imaginary place is so important in child development! I'm so thankful we have found such a loving environment for our daughter. We have been going to this school since August of 2015 and love it! My son has learned so much in less than a year...I have been really impressed with the curriculum. The other day we were driving down the road and he saw a statue. He started telling me about the Egyptians and their statues....things a 4 year old generally hasn't learned about, but he had! Make Believe Boulevard is awesome, and they learn how to use computers/iPads, and have a splash pad on the playground for warm weather. It's a smaller school which we love as well. We love the staff, particularly Miss Toiya and Miss Katie. They are very helpful and personable, and genuinely love the kids. read more

My daughter started there a month and a half ago after being at a Montessori school previously. Her experience at the other school was terrible, she was miserable as there was little patience for a 2 year old acting like a 2 year old and we could not have been more excited when we found TLE of McKinney. Ms. Toiya was a welcoming and warm face when we toured and offered to keep our daughter for the day to see what she thought of the place. Her teacher Ms. Angie is amazing with her. She helps our daughter work through her emotions and is firm when our daughter needs it (strong willed 2 year old). We are so blessed to have found TLE and my daughter hasn't had a tantrum since being a part of their family; she was having them several times a day at the old school. How this school doesn't have a low rating I have no idea. First let's start with how relieved I am my children DONT go here anymore! Here's why: I gave SEVERAL chances to this school because it was new and I thought that it was just growing pains , but in the 3 months i was there, they went through one director and 7 teachers!! If you are considering going to this school , do your research. They can not hold on to a teacher to save there life. I was one of those moms that popped in at random times as they encouraged all the parents to do! Well one day at 12:30 I walked in to check on my daughter and son and walked past a classroom and there was a 4 year old by himself, door shut, lights off crying! I at the time was focused on finding my sons room and didn't pay attention to the fact he was alone and walked past the room again and looked closely and realized there was no teacher! I opened the door ,and got the kid,calmed him down and brought him to the front where the director and a teacher were laughing and talking having no idea this is going on! I approached the owner and with no emotion she asked me "where did you find him" "thanks I'll take care of it" are you kidding me? No! I walked back with her and when we walked into the classroom the teacher said "oh where was he?" Ok -worst response ever! The state was called and they were violated for that offense(please look this up and verify on state website) What is the point in having an amazing building/curriculum/structure if it's not being implemented?! I don't care about how great it appears if the staff is terrible and don't follow through with anything they say how can I trust you with my child? The owner has called and apologized since- however as a parent I feel people need to know. These are the most important things in our lives! Mistakes like this can't afford to be made. For the price we pay I expect them to follow through with the things they say they offer! Another incident with my niece if the above wasn't enough- she pulled her infant daughter (8 months) out of this program BECAUSE THEY DIDNT FEED HER!!!!!!! 2 other kids put the school on a "probation" and She found out the day she pulled her out it was because they did not feed there child as well!! Literally a parents worst nightmare. Honestly its the owners, they do not know how to run a school, and my heart goes out for the infants and kids still there. Take a moment to look them up in the state they have already been reported twice. Once for completly leaving a child alone in a classroom , and another for negligence. My 4 year old goes to this school and we absolutely love it!  Before coming here he had some trouble with focus and attention, but since he's started, he's learned so much.  He no longer seems to have a problem, and seems to be learning so much.  He comes home and tells me what he's learned that day and is so excited to tell me about his math, pre-reading, and even world geography!  I credit his teachers here for taking the time to understand what my child's needs were, and for knowing how to accomidate him and his learning style.  He actually is excited to go to school and gets sad when it's the weekend and he can't go! read more

This place is a NIGHTMARE!! DO NOT let your kids go here. I used to work across the street when I lived in Texas and the place seemed to have great reviews and Toiya, the director, seemed very friendly and open. It was much pricier than other daycares in the area but Toiya informed me this was because they had cameras in every classroom and outside allowing the parents to tune in whenever for peace of mind. I also felt comfortable since if anything ever happened they would have video evidence. I enrolled my son (Pre-K) there and he absolutely loved his teacher, Ms. Shae. After the first week he started having some major issues with one child in his class who was being excessively violent. Apparently this child was constantly being sent to the office for giant outbursts and attacking kids. I was called at some point because this child had kicked my son in the genitals. Three days later this same kid then punched my kid in the same area. I hd been in contact with Ms. Shae informing her of my concern. When I came to pick up my son a week later I walked in to find he had a black eye, again from the same child. At this point my husband and I spoke with the director because it was too much. Toiya promised us over and over that this child was being completely removed from TLE due to his behavior issues but we needed to give his parents some time to find another daycare center. We were totally fine to give them about two weeks and figured this would solve the issue. I mentioned before I worked across the street previously, I actually leased apartments. When I initially signed my son up I had asked if there was some sort of referral program and Toiya told me I would get a week for every family referred. I had asked her multiple times if there would be a cap and she told me no. Over the 6 months there I referred 10 different families and received no free weeks. When the summer session had started Toiya called me asking for tuition (even though I had paid for a full year) and I told her I had no problem paying for it but my son would be absent the next week since we were going on vacation and I also inquired about my referrals and how I go about getting free weeks. She then waived my tuition (Approximately 1/8th of one month's tuition) and gave me the week I would be absent for free. I said fine since I was at work and decided to just drop the issue since we had planned on moving out of state in a month and a half. The week before the 4th of July Ms. Shae went on a vacation and there was a replacement teacher, Ms. Lacy. My son started having serious issues with her and was constantly complaining that she liked to scream at the kids and threaten to rip up their work. He started hating going to school and every day came home complaining about how he did not get along with Lacy. That Thursday I finally spoke with Toiya asking her if this was a permanent change or temporary and expressing my concern with the sudden change in attitude from my son. She assured me she would check in on Layne the following day and that Lacy was just substituting in for Shae while she was on vacation but she would be returning Monday. The next day I dropped off Layne and Toiya and I both promised him he would be safe and it was his last day with her. That afternoon I came in to pick him up and he informed me Lacy actually hit him in the back because she felt like he wasnt paying attention. I immediately approached Lacy who of course denied it. I then came into Toiya's office with one of the owners there and demanded answers as to why my son was being assaulted at his school. They continuously told me they would get to the bottom of it and so I left to cool down and approach them again Monday morning with my husband. That Monday we came in extra early. We told Toiya we wanted to see the video from that day. That is when she told me that the cameras only live streamed and did not actually record. I asked her why as a parent I was unable to log into this live stream and she attempted to claim that someone from corporate sits in front of the cameras all day in order to make sure the kids were safe. She then told us that day she would interview a few students to find out what exactly happened and that Lacy was currently on vacation for two weeks. Later that day I came back and Toiya told me that she had spoken to a few students and none of them had said anything negative about Lacy but with my sons testimony and very detailed explanation of what happened she didn't want to risk someone being abusive on her staff and let Lacy go. I asked multiple times point blank whether Lacy had been fired or not and she said yes, absolutely. I later asked a few of the staff members about the incident and found out not only did Toiya never speak to a single student or teacher about Lacy but she also did not fire her. One star is being generous. My son had been going here just barley over 2 years. We loved it at first, but then around the beginning of this year, things started getting bad. I would take issues and concerns to the new director and she would tell me she'd get back to me after talking to his teachers. She wouldn't get back to me unless I walked in and asked her. She told me she had discussed the issues with the teachers and they said they didn't notice anything I was concerned with. My son LOVED going to school. When he got a new teacher, after a few days, he HATED going. He'd cry and not want to leave my side. I thought it was just because she was a new face, but it didn't get better. He started home saying extremely concerning things, acting completely out of character and over all, seemed depressed. It's like his spirit had been broken. His teacher even admitted to me that if he didn't like the snack given to him, she would tell him he just wouldn't eat, instead of offering the alternative like they are supposed to. There were days he'd come home and eat everything he could find, as if he hasn't eaten all day. After she admitted that, I started sending him with snacks from home. She'd tell him if he was going to cry like a baby, she'd send him to the baby classroom, and she would reward the other kids with stickers and tell my son he didn't get one because he cried like a baby. During his last week, 2 days before his last day, his teacher told me she had no idea I was pulling him out. NO ONE TOLD HER. Then when I told her why, she said the director hadn't even discussed any of the issues or concerns with her. I had a meeting with the owner on the last day, and she wasn't even aware of what was going on! My concerns got swept under the rug, AND THEN I WAS LIED TO. I tried having my son switch classes but the director said it wasn't possible. So I accepted that and put in our notice. I found out during my meeting with the owner that she had said it was okay to do, and they'd have one of the kids that hadn't started yet, go to the other class, but the director said there was no point. We also found out we had been being charged almost the exact same amount as when he first started going there. He moved classes 4 times and our rates only dropped around $30. I could go on and on about our experience, but I'd be wasting my time since nothing will be done about it, regardless. read more
