From the moment we enrolled our child, we've been impressed with their caring staff and nurturing environment. The teachers are incredibly patient and skilled at fostering both educational growth and emotional development. Our child looks forward to going each day, which speaks volumes about the center's warm atmosphere and engaging activities. We love the teachers, the administrative team, and have celebrated many milestones with classmates & their parents. KA fosters a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the kids, teachers, and parents. The teachers are always creating engaging learning activities for my son. The teachers are super helpful with techniques of transition like bottles to cups, pacifier weening, eating solids, trying new foods, potty training, riding a tricycle, etc. Drop-offs are a breeze, my son looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day (if they are on vacation he totally welcomes the change with ease bc all of the teachers are fantastic and he is familiar with all of them) Pickups are also joyful, the excitement to see me and joy to end the day by giving hugs and sharing goodbyes around the classroom and through out the hallways fills my heart! During COVID their mask mandate, dropoff/pickup routine and cleaning protocols kept our minds at complete ease (for our little guy health and a member in our household personal health concerns during unprecedented times). Kiddie Academy of Stonebridge-McKinney is a great school for my family.

I have been to this location a few times with my little girl, and I've always enjoyed the experience here! It is the larger location of the two and is run by the wife, Destin, who is just amazing with the kids. Both locations are run out of homes, and this one is inside a subdivision and is a grey two story house. There is no signage outside, but the inside is great! Each room downstairs is dedicated to the kids. The living room has a TV and lots of toys and room for the kids to run around. They have an arts and crafts room, and a baby room with cribs. Both Tommie and Destin are fantastic in that they won't provide any food, or use any items without you telling them they can first. The first home daycare provider we tried was making all kinds of decisions without consulting us which is one of the reasons we left. Both of them also do a great job with working with the babies on hitting their milestones (sitting up, standing, waving, walking) and they work with the older kids on politeness and patience. I always said that the biggest way you can tell if a daycare is a good place is to look at the kids, and every time I've been here the kids have been so genuinely happy. The kids are smiling and laughing and having fun! That is what I've always wanted from a daycare provider, and I'm so grateful to have found it. It is also VERY affordable for anyone who has price compared with any daycares in the area. If you want to ask questions, please feel free to message me here on Yelp and I will reply quickly. My daughter will be with Honey B's for years to come!

I was made aware of this incident by the other teacher working in the room. I have a really good relationship with the other teacher she immediately texted me regarding the other teacher hitting my infant in the head. She expressed she did not feel comfortable going to the front desk to report it because often times the front desk is made aware of situations and they like to sweep it under the rug and hide it because they do not want either licensing to find out or the parents. The front desk was eventually made aware of the situation because as soon as I received the news about my infant being attacked I immediately came to the facility and confronted the teacher. The front desk was very nasty about it. No empathy, no remorse, their only concern was "how did I find out". They eventually found out how I knew and retaliated against the teacher by terminating the teacher who reached out to me about the teacher who hit my child. When my husband and I came to the facility later on that day the owner was there at the front desk. The owner did not acknowledge my husband and did not apologize for what happened at his facility he ignored us. Instead of addressing the incident he had his office manager, Ashton (who was extremely rude and unprofessional) address us about the situation. No accommodations nothing as a matter of fact I was treated poorly once child care licensing confirmed she completed her investigation regarding the incident and that this facility was found guilty and would be cited. I started receiving very passive and nasty emails from the front desk. The director Nikki, comes off as caring and sweet but she likes to hide behind emails she never pulled me aside regarding my child and gave a plan on how they were going to ensure this does not happen again which lets me know this happens often and that was confirmed to me by a teacher. The only thing this facility cares about is whether you pay on time, and protecting their image even if its hiding incidents like this from the public. When I was made aware of it they had no choice but to self report to licensing because I was going to do it. Secondly, when I first enrolled at this facility they raved on the fact they had cameras and that we would be able to access our child at anytime to check in on them. That is a lie! Yes they have cameras but the owner is so money hungry and cheap the camera access is LIMITED. You only can log into the camera 5 times up to 10 minutes per session. So if you login for a couple seconds to view that takes up your full session or if you are viewing the footage and your phone locks that counts as a full session. Thirdly, the poor quality of food they feed these children is an insult. Again, they try to cut cost so much at this daycare to the point they feed the kids crap and not enough. When I discussed this with the Assistant Director Vivan, she gave my husband and I a menu yes from the sounds of the menu the food seems great but they do not follow that menu consistently they do make whatever is the cheapest If you care about your child safety, the quality of food they consume and just having a peace of mind that your child is in good hands I would avoid this facility. As sweet as the front desk appear because I was fooled by the soft voice and the sales pitch.

As a…read moreyounger mother of a toddler, I was appalled that I was essentially told I was overreacting even though I saw the bullying taking place with my own eyes watching their cameras from my phone app. The acting director gave no plan of action and I had to lay out a plan for them including addressing the bullying with the other kid and his parents. The director was unhelpful, uncooperative, and lacked communication with me throughout the process of getting this issue addressed. I work full time and having to baby them and constantly follow up with them through every step of the plan I had to create for them was stressful and so unnecessary. Nikki (forgot her last name I think her last name may be young) was assistant director and never once got back to me about any of my concerns. I actually asked the director if had the wrong email for nikki, I couldn't believe she truly blew off 5 or 6 emails I sent her. Turns out she did just that. I had vacillated about moving my son to another daycare and pulled the trigger after this horrendous experience. A couple weeks before he moved to his new school I received word the current director was leaving her position and that the assistant director, nikki would take her place as the director. This completely sealed the deal for me and I was at peace with my decision to move my son. The incompetence and lack of organization she showed will surely trickle down to her staff and I want no part of this daycare with her in charge. There are far to many daycares within a 3 mile radius of kids r kids for them to handle a bullying situation so nonchalantly. We have plenty of daycare options in the McKinney and frisco area and I highly suggest you seek another daycare for your children. This one fell far below my expectations.

She literally looked like she was in timeout because of her crying. When you care for children, you are there for them no matter what/ no matter how many times you need to try. Taking care of children requires a special gift. They need our help constantly. 2. I picked up my son & I immediately saw his face was red, running nose & extremely hot. My son is able to speak & he told me he didn't feel good. I did not receive one phone call about my son. As a child care taker you should be more aware. Checking children constantly to make sure everything's okay. You could clearly tell something was wrong with him just by his nose running, redness on skin & just standing there like a statue. That clearly shows me that those adults don't pay close enough attention to catch something like that & my son was there for hours. He said he had been feeling that way since nap time (1pm, I picked him up around 5pm). This place of business needs way better discernment & wisdom when it comes to hiring the adults to care for children.
