This is the 'Lake Forest Child Care' location my baby daughter goes to! It is the smaller location of the two and is run by the husband who is so sweet and so great with the kids. Both locations are run out of homes, and this one is right on the corner of Fox Ridge and Lake Forest. There is no signage outside, but the inside is great! Since they don't live in this house each room is dedicated to the kids. The living room has a TV and lots of toys and room for the kids to run around, this is also where the bigger kids take naps on mats. They have an arts and crafts room, and a baby room with cribs. Tommie is fantastic in that he won't provide any food, or use any items without you telling him it's okay first. The first home daycare provider we tried was making all kinds of decisions without consulting us which is one of the reasons we left. He also does a great job with working with the babies on hitting their milestones (sitting up, standing, waving, walking) and works with the older kids on politeness and patience. I always said that the biggest way you can tell if a daycare is a good place is to look at the kids, every day that I walk in all of the kids are smiling and laughing. The little ones reach for Tommie and laugh with him, and it's clear that it's a safe and loving environment which is all I ever wanted out of a daycare for my daughter. Our son dreaded going to his summer program until starting kiddie academy. We see him learning and enjoying his peers. He comes home with a smile every day. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and owner. From the moment we enrolled our child, we've been impressed with their caring staff and nurturing environment. The teachers are incredibly patient and skilled at fostering both educational growth and emotional development. Our child looks forward to going each day, which speaks volumes about the center's warm atmosphere and engaging activities. As parents, we feel confident and grateful knowing our child is in such capable hands. Highly recommend!

We love the teachers, the administrative team, and have celebrated many milestones with classmates & their parents. KA fosters a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the kids, teachers, and parents. The teachers are always creating engaging learning activities for my son. The teachers are super helpful with techniques of transition like bottles to cups, pacifier weening, eating solids, trying new foods, potty training, riding a tricycle, etc. Drop-offs are a breeze, my son looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day (if they are on vacation he totally welcomes the change with ease bc all of the teachers are fantastic and he is familiar with all of them) Pickups are also joyful, the excitement to see me and joy to end the day by giving hugs and sharing goodbyes around the classroom and through out the hallways fills my heart! During COVID their mask mandate, dropoff/pickup routine and cleaning protocols kept our minds at complete ease (for our little guy health and a member in our household personal health concerns during unprecedented times). We have officially been at this childcare center long enough to post a genuine review. We had…read morenothing but positive things to say after day one, but I always like to let some time pass before I actually leave a review. The facility is located in a nice place and that's convenient for us to get to. I have not seen the facility in a disarray or dirty. It is massive. It is nice and it seems like it is new, but has been around along time. This means they take care of it. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and even on my worst day, they have way to put a smile on my face. Especially them offering a mini coffee bar on Fridays. Although, it would be nice on a Monday to help kick off the week LOL, but I'm not complaining. I'm so grateful for everything that this facility has done for my family and even my children that don't attend the facility are happy to come pick up their sibling. My son feels safe and he's always happy to go to school. Even on Saturdays he's asking "Is today a school day?". He knows all of his teachers names and their favorite colors. This may be something small, but to me it's saying that they're actually personable with him and sharing a piece of their world with the ones that they care for or come in contact with. It doesn't feel like a daycare facility or a preschool. It actually feels like you're leaving your child with family members. The ones that everyone dreams of. The ones that love and care for your kid like their own. Truly, something special and you can't put a price on quality like that. Which leads me to my next point ... price is very important, especially in the society that we live in ... very important. Sometimes you're paying for the name of the company versus quality that they offer. I won't go into too much detail about the prices, but I do know that they offer military discount and that speaks volumes for me being a disabled veteran and needing help often. It seems fair and reasonable. Sometimes I don't get a chance to make breakfast before dropping off my kiddo... and they offer to give him breakfast. I believe it's a dollar a day and you can add the breakfast plan or your account. Having that option is wonderful. Aside from breakfast, snacks and lunch are included in the base price. With all that being said, I am thankful that we found this place and decided to go with this location versus any others. Forever grateful for HLC.
