Our daughters vocabulary, verbal communication and comprehension, and math skills are in lack of better words, amazing. I've noticed both Ms. Ashton and Ms. Yessi's interaction with our daughter as well as other kids. These 2 are amazing teachers for such an young age. I feel we are very lucky to have them. Our daughter talks about them often with very kinds words, which makes me (a very involved father), feel at ease knowing she is in good hands. I can't speak for other parents, but these 2 ladies are an asset to KRK. Please let them know that we could not be more pleased with the work you are all doing. They send me pictures throughout the day and are always happy to answer any questions I have. As for his Spanish, he's already picked up several words and phrases. We don't speak Spanish at home and he only goes to school two days a week, so I wasn't expecting much. This is WHY the turnover rate is so high! Let me tell you, I even had PARENTS tell me how unfair it was for us to have that many kids in our care. I even had my PARENTS help me because it was too much. When I was doing my training which just consisted of a packet to fill and a notebook with information. Not ONCE was I asked if I wanted a flat surface to do my work on, instead, I used my lap. Not ONCE was I checked on, with a simple, "how are things going, is there a way to make things easier for you to transition," OR "I know this is a lot right now, but you're doing a GREAT JOB."As a Christian Preschool, there is a BIG disconnect between the two. I was also "expected" to know where things were. I was NEVER formally introduced in depth to the building or to the second person in charge which gave me an attitude and the person training to EXPECT to know where it was when we had trash full of dirty diapers (did they just expect us to stink up the classroom? ), for instance, the janitor. I was NOT properly trained. There were criteria but how can you do it in the RIGHT state of mind when you have to get to know OTHER kids? There's a reason why teachers quit. I've been in child care and behavior therapy for children with Autism and this is the worst experience I've ever had. She pretty much told me "childcare isn't for everyone," no, you don't treat your employees unfairly in childcare. Through a grapevine parents from the church wouldn't ENROLL THEIR KIDS THERE. PROS: - The staff was nice - Children were sweet CONS: - Management 100% - UNSAFE playground entry gate (broken) in a second someone can walk in or the kiddo can walk out - Late lunches - Communication between manager and staff is horrible - Disgusting toilets - Unfair ratio requirements - * YOU DON'T leave the time agreed upon (seems like for the most part) - No medical, vision, dental, no maternity leave - Minimum wage if resign without 2 weeks THINK ABOUT IT FIRST! Stay away I would say. It's stressful, so is the pay worth it? Honestly, no.

The teachers throughout the school still know our children by name. They've guided our son and daughter through reading, technology immersion, maths, and crafts. Beyond enrichment, there is fun structured play including splash days to look forward to throughout the summer. With over a decade we have built so many memories and truly feel like the staff are family. As such, when and if any issues ever arise they are taken with the sincerest seriousness and remedied quickly - and those hiccups are few and far between. The most prolific sign of quality is how much more excited they get to go to their "day care school" when their "big kid school" is closed, walking into the building with high fives and hugs. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for childcare services with a fun atmosphere and a learning environment. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and owner. From the moment we enrolled our child, we've been impressed with their caring staff and nurturing environment. The teachers are incredibly patient and skilled at fostering both educational growth and emotional development. Our child looks forward to going each day, which speaks volumes about the center's warm atmosphere and engaging activities. We love the teachers, the administrative team, and have celebrated many milestones with classmates & their parents. KA fosters a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the kids, teachers, and parents. The teachers are always creating engaging learning activities for my son. The teachers are super helpful with techniques of transition like bottles to cups, pacifier weening, eating solids, trying new foods, potty training, riding a tricycle, etc. Drop-offs are a breeze, my son looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day (if they are on vacation he totally welcomes the change with ease bc all of the teachers are fantastic and he is familiar with all of them) Pickups are also joyful, the excitement to see me and joy to end the day by giving hugs and sharing goodbyes around the classroom and through out the hallways fills my heart! During COVID their mask mandate, dropoff/pickup routine and cleaning protocols kept our minds at complete ease (for our little guy health and a member in our household personal health concerns during unprecedented times). Kiddie Academy of Stonebridge-McKinney is a great school for my family.
