This review is from 5 months ago but I just realized I accidentally posted it on the Frisco…read morelocation's page so I removed it and am reposting it here! I apologize profusely if I'm butchering the spelling but Shamika was so incredibly kind and made my little feel so comfortable that her first time there, she gave us no fuss or tears, she was just ready to go play. My kiddo still gets nervous going to her school of 2 years with her best friends there but going to this location for the first time, she felt so at ease she went and stayed 2 hours having fun while we got our first reasonably priced date night in 3 years. Sad we live in denton bc if we were in mckinney we'd use this awesome spot/awesome care givers all the time. Thank you!

Not one adult was try to help her feel better, nor talking to her & one of the care takers said,"she's just sad because her parents left." She literally looked like she was in timeout because of her crying. When you care for children, you are there for them no matter what/ no matter how many times you need to try. Taking care of children requires a special gift. They need our help constantly. 2. I picked up my son & I immediately saw his face was red, running nose & extremely hot. My son is able to speak & he told me he didn't feel good. I did not receive one phone call about my son. As a child care taker you should be more aware. Checking children constantly to make sure everything's okay. You could clearly tell something was wrong with him just by his nose running, redness on skin & just standing there like a statue. That clearly shows me that those adults don't pay close enough attention to catch something like that & my son was there for hours. He said he had been feeling that way since nap time (1pm, I picked him up around 5pm). This place of business needs way better discernment & wisdom when it comes to hiring the adults to care for children.

We see him learning and enjoying his peers. He comes home with a smile every day. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff and owner. From the moment we enrolled our child, we've been impressed with their caring staff and nurturing environment. The teachers are incredibly patient and skilled at fostering both educational growth and emotional development. Our child looks forward to going each day, which speaks volumes about the center's warm atmosphere and engaging activities. As parents, we feel confident and grateful knowing our child is in such capable hands. Highly recommend!

We love the teachers, the administrative team, and have celebrated many milestones with classmates & their parents. KA fosters a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the kids, teachers, and parents. The teachers are always creating engaging learning activities for my son. The teachers are super helpful with techniques of transition like bottles to cups, pacifier weening, eating solids, trying new foods, potty training, riding a tricycle, etc. Drop-offs are a breeze, my son looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day (if they are on vacation he totally welcomes the change with ease bc all of the teachers are fantastic and he is familiar with all of them) Pickups are also joyful, the excitement to see me and joy to end the day by giving hugs and sharing goodbyes around the classroom and through out the hallways fills my heart! During COVID their mask mandate, dropoff/pickup routine and cleaning protocols kept our minds at complete ease (for our little guy health and a member in our household personal health concerns during unprecedented times). Kiddie Academy of Stonebridge-McKinney is a great school for my family.

They have taken great care of my special needs son and my little one. Everyone is so kind and caring. They know all the parents and children. I hope by sharing my experience it can help others make a decision. I can only speak to the infant care here. I chose to send my baby here based on the tour I took, Google reviews and convenience of location. Unfortunately I withdrew her after only one month because of the quality of care. On the tour I was told she would have her own crib for naps, and be given a curriculum for activities but since the beginning of being here, she and other babies are left in the loungers or swings if they fall asleep. I was told they get fussy if they are picked up and eventually I gave in because I didn't want her to be treated differently. Only one time did I witness on the poor quality cameras that she was put to do tummy time for a few minutes. Otherwise it was just a rotation between floor mat, skip hop, lounger (where she spent most of her time) and swing until it was time for bottles and diaper changes. My husband would drop her off in the mornings and on multiple occasions they were playing country music, or other music not geared towards children. The staff did not greet him by name and he was told to "just leave her on the mat" upon drop off. They merge the classrooms before the teacher arrives which isn't until 9 or 10am on some days and at that point have 8 babies and it appears they are always overwhelmed. I would say 1 star Is for the infant teachers empathy and kind demeanor. She was the only person I felt comfortable with. I knew we had to make a change when my mother visited and told me that babies are left to cry for long periods of time. The director did reach out after my mom made her opinion known, and it appeared they were making efforts to change. It was too little and too late for us but I do hope they do this for the sake of the other babies. Fortunately my husband works from home and considered watching her until I talked to other moms and came across many other daycares with superior care. Now my baby girl is thriving in her current daycare. She has done more activities in one day then the entire time she was at Kids r Kids. They play kids songs, read books, take her outside, give her options for teethers, sit her up to look in the mirror, do artwork with the babies, sensory toys, and I could go on. The curriculum is posted and I am able to see what she is going to do on a weekly basis. Not only are there better cameras but I also receive multiple videos and photos during the day and I receive personal updates on how she is doing. She is put in a sleep sack and in a crib for every nap and comes home happy and not fussy like before. I hope this helps other moms and can stir a change for the better.
