He came from a family owned private daycare with only 10 kids and had to adjust to a larger group of kids and more disciplined schedule in Sunshine. He was in Luyda, Elena and Ms. Amanda's groups. All of them very very helpful during the transition period and after. He is definitely your free spirit kid and can be challenging, so it was very nice to get some advice from the teachers of how to route him to the "right way"/manage bad behavior. All was done in a friendly manner and was much appreciated, I truly felt that the teachers cared and wanted to help! The owner of the school Marina was extremely welcoming and helpful during our move, we are so grateful for all the advice and encouragement we got! Not knowing much about Montessori when we enrolled, we learned that the Montessori approach allowed our son to learn at his own pace building his self-confidence. The approach to learning language and math introduce concepts using sensorial materials that build on top of each other. We also like the balance that the school strikes between education and free play and how invested the teachers are in the development of the kids. So communication can be a bit slow, but if you're patient with them, you won't regret it because the things that matter and are important are there. They keep your child safe so you don't have to worry about their well-being and they make sure every student thrives. You have peace of mind while you're working or busy throughout the day. And you know your child is getting lots of attention because the class sizes aren't as big as some others that have up to 18 kids or more in one classroom. What makes Primrose of West Allen truly special is its people and its culture. Shannan and Andrew lead from the top down, and their commitment to the children, families, and staff is reflected throughout the entire school. They have created something that feels much more like a family and community than simply a preschool. Perhaps the best reflection of that culture is that their staff includes three generations of teachers from the same family -- a mother, daughter, and granddaughter. That says so much about the kind of environment they have built. The leadership team -- Ms. Vidisha, Ms. Eylin, Ms. Jessica, and Ms. Leslie -- is exceptional. They know the children and families personally, are always approachable, and genuinely care.
