Both of our sons have grown here, and the staff and administration continue to be amazing people who feel like extended family. Everyone really cares about your child at LMM, and the attention to details are beyond compare. They work hard to ensure the program is appropriate for each child. In addition to being invested in providing a great curriculum, they are committed to providing a well-rounded nutritional program daily. Even though our older child is now in public school, he asks to return to LMM for summer care and holiday programs. Our younger child continues daily at LMM, and we couldn't be more pleased. My child started at age 4 at Frisco Trails montessori in 2023 (then called Frisco Trails…read moremontessori, then briefly changed to LIttle Leaders, now renamed to Visionary Montessori Academy at Teel), and is to start Kindergarten this year in Frisco ISD. We moved to Frisco from NY. We went through 2 daycares in NY before we started here. We checked out several montessoris before we signed up for Frisco Trails. There are fancier, more expensive options in Frisco. I wanted my daughter to be in a comfortable, safe environment that's also down-to-earth and not a five-star hotel. We were very happy overall with the montessori. There was some teacher turnover, but not a lot. They dont have too many more closed days than the federal holidays. Teachers paid individual attention to the kids. They have parent-teacher meetings few times a year to update parents on the child's strengths and areas of improvement. There would be time for study but also play, frequent fun activities. My kids bring home amazing crafts. Every week the toddles have a new learning theme, like continents, plants, oceans. They email us every weekend about a summary of the last week, and teaching lined up for the next week. My daughter has learned to read and write fairly well before she goes to KG. They don't have a fancy app to message parents, but in my past experience, updating apps takes up teachers' time and concentration away from their main focus on children. Emails have worked just fine. The teachers and administration are easy-going and generally accommodating. I put my younger kid here as well. She had frequent viral infections her 6 months or so, after that its been pretty smooth. This past winter was not bad at all.

Although Wonderland was the furthest from our house in Allen (20 min each way) and we passed direclty past 4 other schools on our way there every morning we picked Wonderland. For the last two years they have exceeded our expectations every day. Our daughter started when she was just under two. Immediately her vocabulary grew exponentially. She also showed increased focus and started thinking of others, using words like please and thank you routinely. Her social skills improved and her personality blossomed. She was fully potty trained before her 3rd birthday. As she continued to attend she started doing things like getting her own breakfast of berries and cheerios (at 3 years old). EVERY member of the staff truly cares and does their job because they love kids and believe in the Montessori method. The facilities at the school are second to none. Last month we had to move to Austin for my job. Since the move we have toured 7 schools, all more expensive, and none with the staff or facilities Wonderland has. Wonderland Montessori School in McKinney has tremendous factors that I as well as any parent would find intolerable I feel the teachers' appearances should be professional and most importantly appropriate for a school environment. The type of money I've paid for my child's education should respectfully be looked upon as me being a parent with standards. However the kids at Wonderland get to view their teachers with body piercings, see thru provocative shirts and tops, and multiple tattoos over their bodies. The Montessori should be called daycare because of the fact the children are not receiving a quality Montessori curriculum let alone structure. Children are behaving wildly, having complete control over their classroom, hitting teachers as well as other kids with multiple objects, clearly substantiating dismissal from such a "quality" school. There seems to be no planning of events that involve the parents and their kids. Communication is not consistent, let alone any communication of any kind whatsoever. I have found on several occasions staff members not present in specific key areas where they clearly should be. Who holds a conference with parents in the "hallway," who throws events together spur of the moment? Clearly there is no leadership at this school. Clearly there is no set guidelines for the classroom structure and curriculum, and clearly the communication I have rec'd in talking to multiple parents is that we are no longer going to "Wonder" What in God's name is happening at that damn school...Wonderland...and it's no "Wonder" why I like many other parents are headed outta there and enrolling in a proper environment such as Starwood Montessori in Frisco, where my money is being used for a good cause- my kid! Teachers are in uniforms, there is structure in the classroom, the setting is truly a "school-atmosphere." If you are a parent wanting to feel good about your child's education in a Montessori environment you need to steer clear of that circus act called Wonderland!

My daughter loves school every day I would give a special recommendation for their teacher Miss Aya. When my toddler started school, I was very apprehensive on whether she would be okay with a new face... but from day one, she fell in love with the teacher. Miss Aya is extremely giving, and nurturing.... Every time I go to her class, I see all the children are so peaceful, I have never heard any of the children cry... and they learnt so much. My daughter tells me that she misses her teacher over weekends, and that makes me feel so grateful. I have seen a big difference in her personality... She's happier and more confident due to the teacher she has who focuses on overall growth of the personality for the children. Miss Laly and Miss Aya Make an excellent team, and have created a wonderful environment for the children, we are so so lucky to have them. Thanks!

if i could rate 0 i would I brought my son in for a "trial"…read moreday. I specifically asked to be notified if my son was having a hard time and wasn't. I text both directors within one hour of dropping him off asking how he was doing and received NO response. After a while i was set up on the parent app and sent a picture of my son "hugging" another kid with the caption "making friends". First red flag! My son will not just hug anyone infact he wouldn't know what to do if you asked him to do that so i was positive this was staged! According to the schedule, my son should have been in circle time, so I asked for a picture of him and circle time in which I received a picture of him from behind. Knowing my son I could tell from his past year, he wasn't happy even though I couldn't see his face so I asked to see a picture of his face and no one ever responded, this caused me to go to the school and pick him up. When I arrived, there was a lady that I had never met at the front desk. The doors were not locked. I just walked right in and as I'm walking past her, I told her I was going to check on my son and she said OK, there was no check for ID no lock on the door nothing! Upon arriving to my sons class I'm looking through the two way mirror for my son I couldn't find him. This was because he was at the bottom of the door crying. I open the door picked up my son and his eyes were almost swollen. Shut from crying. I asked the teacher how long he had been crying. She said for 30 minutes I asked why she didn't call me she said because she thought he would stop! This is crazy because I asked for them to call me if he was having a hard time and clearly they did not. Another issue is all of the teachers are foreign, and have heavy accents, so for a toddler to be placed in an unfamiliar environment with teachers who do not speak clear English isn't very comforting. This was my first time meeting the teachers because when I went for a tour, it was at 5 PM when they were getting ready to close so the teachers had left. So I proceed to pick up my son, take all of his belongings and walk out the door when I arrived home 20 minutes later, one of the directors which I text at 9:45 responded to my inquiry of how my son was doing by saying."HE IS DOING VERY GOOD MOMMY HE IS EATING LUNCH"! I then responded"He can't be eating lunch because I PICKED HIM UP 20 MINUTES AGO" she then responds with "you don't want him to eat lunch"? I responded with "WOW I PICKED HIM UP YOUR LYING" of course i got no response. BEWARE!!!! Directors are Kara and Mona! They present well but they're LIARS! Always trust your motherly instincts!

We looked at a lot of schools for him ( he's only 2) in the area and glad we choose here. We like the undates of pics of him doing activities during the day as well as other updates. If you have a young child I highly recommend here. I had my daughter at a Montessori school when she started at 10 months ( she is now 6 and at a different school now) but I wish we knew about here since it's Christian based school.

When asked if she foresaw any options of being able to see actual people and not just the facility, the director scoffed in surprise as I was asking an absurd question and said that if that were the case she'd have dozens of parents observing. This is the only school I've seen that would ask a parent to decide whether to send their kid to the school without actually seeing any teachers or students. When asked the difference between a pure Montessori versus this school (a Reggio Montessori), she recommended I look it up after providing a vague answer that it is the best of both worlds. This is after arrogantly telling me she and her family had 45 years of experience. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to see how this school actually is but judging from the attitude and character of the director, I would not step 5 feet near this school.
