We moved to Frisco from NY. We went through 2 daycares in NY before we started here. We checked out several montessoris before we signed up for Frisco Trails. There are fancier, more expensive options in Frisco. I wanted my daughter to be in a comfortable, safe environment that's also down-to-earth and not a five-star hotel. We were very happy overall with the montessori. There was some teacher turnover, but not a lot. They dont have too many more closed days than the federal holidays. Teachers paid individual attention to the kids. They have parent-teacher meetings few times a year to update parents on the child's strengths and areas of improvement. There would be time for study but also play, frequent fun activities. My kids bring home amazing crafts. Every week the toddles have a new learning theme, like continents, plants, oceans. They email us every weekend about a summary of the last week, and teaching lined up for the next week. My daughter has learned to read and write fairly well before she goes to KG. They don't have a fancy app to message parents, but in my past experience, updating apps takes up teachers' time and concentration away from their main focus on children. Emails have worked just fine. The teachers and administration are easy-going and generally accommodating. I put my younger kid here as well. She had frequent viral infections her 6 months or so, after that its been pretty smooth. This past winter was not bad at all.

The teachers and staff are caring, attentive, and clearly love working with the kids. My kindergartener has learned so much and always comes home excited to share about their day. For my 3rd grader, the after-school program has been incredibly convenient. Cadence provides pickup from the elementary school, which makes life so much easier for busy parents. They also offer a summer program that keeps the kids active and engaged. Overall, we've been very happy with Cadence. Also, one of the biggest ways they supported my son is their flexibility with his meals due to a milk protein allergy. They substitute what they can for him and I only bring in a couple of things every now and then to supplement. I'm finding out now that not all daycares are as accommodating! The management and staff seem to all work together well, great vibes, and we haven't had one bad experience yet. The number of activities they put on for the kids is insane especially for the summer. It's such a fun, safe learning environment. Curriculum is blended Montessori with progress tracking. I appreciate this school so much and will be sad when we age out. My only wish is that the snacks and lunches were more whole foods, but this is minor compared to the entire experience that they offer and how much my child has learned and benefitted.

We heard about the Montessori method and were curious. An extensive online search for good Montessori schools in Plano and Allen lead us to Montessori Children's House. Upon walking into each class during our tour, the difference was immediately clear. The children were each fully engaged in their own individual activity, it was quiet and the manners and behavior observed was very pleasing. We knew our child would fit in, and she's been very happy over the past couple months now. Besides the environment, the staff and Effie are excellent in addressing our needs and concerns. It is clear they each truly care about the development and advancement of each of their students.

She was constantly put down for what she was doing wrong but never cheered on for doing good. Her behavior was so off when she would go to school. My final straw for pom was when they posted a video of all the kids and my child was off by herself looking sad not included in the activities all her friends were doing. She recently changed schools and is a completely diff kid. She's so happy, loves gaing to school and is earning so much. Can tell the teachers at her new school truly love what they do and love the kids!! Pom also has ridiculous supplies fee. $350 fee per year for supplies is ludacris. They also close down for a whole week between Christmas and New Years and still charge for the week that they are closed. I know a few other parents feel the same way because we have had conversations at parties and events. would not recommend this school! All they care about is $. They also bragged on having a Dallas cowboy players kid attending there school. They said the players name and everything which I feel is complete invasion of privacy.

My daughter loves school every day I would give a special recommendation for their teacher Miss Aya. Miss Aya is extremely giving, and nurturing.... Every time I go to her class, I see all the children are so peaceful, I have never heard any of the children cry... and they learnt so much. My daughter tells me that she misses her teacher over weekends, and that makes me feel so grateful. I have seen a big difference in her personality... if i could rate 0 i would I brought my son in for a "trial"…read moreday. I specifically asked to be notified if my son was having a hard time and wasn't. I text both directors within one hour of dropping him off asking how he was doing and received NO response. After a while i was set up on the parent app and sent a picture of my son "hugging" another kid with the caption "making friends". First red flag! My son will not just hug anyone infact he wouldn't know what to do if you asked him to do that so i was positive this was staged! According to the schedule, my son should have been in circle time, so I asked for a picture of him and circle time in which I received a picture of him from behind. Knowing my son I could tell from his past year, he wasn't happy even though I couldn't see his face so I asked to see a picture of his face and no one ever responded, this caused me to go to the school and pick him up. When I arrived, there was a lady that I had never met at the front desk. The doors were not locked. I just walked right in and as I'm walking past her, I told her I was going to check on my son and she said OK, there was no check for ID no lock on the door nothing! Upon arriving to my sons class I'm looking through the two way mirror for my son I couldn't find him. This was because he was at the bottom of the door crying. I open the door picked up my son and his eyes were almost swollen. Shut from crying. I asked the teacher how long he had been crying. She said for 30 minutes I asked why she didn't call me she said because she thought he would stop! This is crazy because I asked for them to call me if he was having a hard time and clearly they did not. Another issue is all of the teachers are foreign, and have heavy accents, so for a toddler to be placed in an unfamiliar environment with teachers who do not speak clear English isn't very comforting. This was my first time meeting the teachers because when I went for a tour, it was at 5 PM when they were getting ready to close so the teachers had left. So I proceed to pick up my son, take all of his belongings and walk out the door when I arrived home 20 minutes later, one of the directors which I text at 9:45 responded to my inquiry of how my son was doing by saying."HE IS DOING VERY GOOD MOMMY HE IS EATING LUNCH"! I then responded"He can't be eating lunch because I PICKED HIM UP 20 MINUTES AGO" she then responds with "you don't want him to eat lunch"? I responded with "WOW I PICKED HIM UP YOUR LYING" of course i got no response. BEWARE!!!! Directors are Kara and Mona! They present well but they're LIARS! Always trust your motherly instincts!

In all of the day area I toured (which was a lot) no place had that kind of security or smelled so clean and fresh. This may seem odd but they don't go overboard on parades and soooo many crafts. They do really cute and inventive crafts that everyone loves and you don't feel like all you get is million finger paintings! I feel they truly care and love my son. Although Wonderland was the furthest from our house in Allen (20 min each way) and we passed direclty past 4 other schools on our way there every morning we picked Wonderland. For the last two years they have exceeded our expectations every day. Our daughter started when she was just under two. Immediately her vocabulary grew exponentially. She also showed increased focus and started thinking of others, using words like please and thank you routinely. Her social skills improved and her personality blossomed. She was fully potty trained before her 3rd birthday. As she continued to attend she started doing things like getting her own breakfast of berries and cheerios (at 3 years old). EVERY member of the staff truly cares and does their job because they love kids and believe in the Montessori method. The facilities at the school are second to none. Last month we had to move to Austin for my job. Since the move we have toured 7 schools, all more expensive, and none with the staff or facilities Wonderland has. Wonderland is something truly special for kids in McKinney.
