We've been at Creative Minds Montessori for about a year, and our daughter has blossomed. The teachers are caring and patient, and the classroom is peaceful but full of hands-on activity. She's more independent, more curious, and excited to tell us what she did each day. The mix of Montessori learning with art, music and outdoor time keeps school fun. The director and staff are quick to respond and always keep us in the loop. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing start. read more

I am extremely disappointed with this daycare and the way my children and I were treated. I had concerns about staff professionalism, including staff members who were not properly licensed/qualified, speaking to each other in another language in front of us, and staff members being rude, bossy, and disrespectful toward both parents and children. The overall environment did not make me feel that my children were being cared for with the professionalism and attention they deserved. What concerns me the most is an incident involving my child. I was told that my children had fallen, that everything was okay, and that there was nothing to worry about. Two weeks later, I found out that my child's front tooth had suffered nerve damage and was essentially dead. Today, my child had to undergo a dental procedure because of the injury. As a parent, I am extremely upset that I was reassured that everything was fine, yet I later discovered that my child had a serious dental injury requiring a procedure. I have also requested the video footage of the accident, and so far it has not been released to me. I believe I have every right to understand exactly what happened to my child while she was under the daycare's care. read more

This review is long over due, it's been a year since my two boys have started this school, and I cannot begin without saying how AMAZING these Teachers are! The amount of love and attention they give my children are truly GENUINE. Ms. Mellissa (School Director) assured me that my boys were going to be okay, she honestly is momma bear in that school, my boys feel so comfortable and love her so much they even call her "Nana". Ms. Aletha to the rescue, anytime one of my boys is having a bad morning, with no hesitation she walks out of any class she's in, opens her arms and says "cm'on let's go have a good day" Ms. Cindy, her love and patience for my boys are a blessing. Ms. Lesa and Mr. Faraad wrap up my boys day with sincere tranquility, always making sure that they have their backpacks, water bottles, nap matts ready for pick up. I love dropping off my kiddos knowing they are going to be safe, loved and cared for. I recommend Creative Minds to everyone! read more

ALERT* l don't write reviews but this one I'm writing bc other families children's are involved, plus l have a video and my heart goes out to the children. I want to start out by saying the curriculums at Creative Minds Childcare are good and can be a great school but they have some Mean and Angry Directors running the place and that rubs off on the teachers. So if they stop neglecting the kids, report injuries etc etc, give kids something to drink throughout the day, actually hire directors and teachers who has patience with children, this place could be turned around. Neglect is abuse to me. I went to school for Clinical Social Worker so l don't take neglect lightly. Kristie and Amanda allows abuse at this school and should be ashamed of themselves, but how can they when they inflict abuse upon the children also. They had a few violations in 2016 http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Contact_Us/report_abuse.asp for not reporting injuries and it's still happening in Aug/2019. I purchased the Watch Me Grow program back when he started in April, not thinking l would really need it other than to check on him every now and then on my breaks at work. One day l look at the camera during nap time and my son was in the doorway of the bathroom sleep. I called the school to ask Kristie could they move him out of the door way of the bathroom bc he could get kicked like that. When l picked him up from school that day in May he had a really big knot on his head nobody knew why, No report written. That prompted me to look at the cameras more and not just go off the exciting pictures they send daily. I noticed some days some kids didn't get anything to drink throughout the entire day. So l would call the school an ask them to give my baby something to drink, l didn't understand why when l picked him up from school he would be so thirsty and his little eyes would look deep and ill looking, now l know from dehydration. So l made it a habit to stop an buy him something to drink before l picked him up from school. Skipping to July/2019 The school was closed down by the Health Dept bc of an outbreak of Flu, Strep throat and Hands-Feet-&-Mouth bc they don't clean well and they didn't report it when the outbreak was at a minimum of 5(they never report anything). All parents had to take kids out of school in the middle of work day and pay extra for sitters bc the school sure didn't reimburse for the paid days our kids couldn't go to school, Plus miss work. August 2nd l go pick him up from school and he has another knot on his head. When l asked what happened, Ms Patrice said we had field day today so we don't know what happened. I'm furious at this point. So they next week l watch the cameras full time and what l saw l really wish there was some way to contact the owners of this child care so they can be made aware. Only the kids tall enough to reach off counter got something to drink the other ate lunch and went straight to nap, woke up hours later and ate dry saltines crackers still nothing to drink, then to the wiggle room to play, the entire day has passed and nothing to drink. The two spoiled cups of milk left on the counter from late morning around lunch was all that was on the counter that early evening to drink. A little boy dranked that spoiled milk. A little girl grabbed the other cup but immediately poured it down the drain. So l left worked, stop for drinks and went to get my baby, then l talked to Mrs Hanna about it and they were soooo upset that l saw that, l only talked to them about it hoping they would do better. The next day they mistreated my baby so bad it was unreal I have searched every possible sight trying to find who own Creative Minds Childcare. I saw my baby being slung and tossed, shaken, picked up snatched by the arms. Now they're saying he has a speech problems but he talks all the time. He's attended for months and none of those things mentioned before me seeing the cameras. In fact l was always told how smart and how such of a good kid he is. Plus l tried to pull him out in the beginning of July and Kristie exact words were, you've already paid for the month so you can't move him out this month. My son was counting to 20 at the age of two so l know how intelligent he is. I begged Kristie to give me the owners information, and her response was they're not educated and they don't know anything and l couldn't help but believe her based off who they have running their business. I have a 30+ minutes recording of Kristie the head director being just disrespectful, mean and very short and it fears me that people kids are in her care. There's a monster behind her fake smile and her demeanor doesn't match the words coming out of her mouth. They hate their jobs and always complaining about pay decreasing. My son is out of this school and is in one of the best schools in the United States. He was there 3 1/2 mnths, now he's happier. We must protect our kids and be very careful who care we put them in. We have two children attending Creative Minds and we love it. The facility is clean, open, and bright. The rooms are bigger than most other preschools that I have seen which gives the kids a lot of room to learn and play. Our daughter loves the big playgrounds, and we appreciate that they are covered. They have a garden that the children get to help grow plants and veggies. They also implement Music Together, a program that helps them learn through music and movement. Their cameras are clear so you can easily check in throughout the day, and their digital parent portal is super convenient for receiving daily reports, pictures, and updates. Our daughter is 4 and is in the Giraffes room with Ms. Cindy. The curriculum is great because each week they choose a new topic to focus on (like Pets & Vets, Camp out, Weather, etc). They then apply that topic across their art work, reading, cooking projects, games, and more. The learning is very organic and instead of just doing worksheets, they find ways to apply the lessons naturally. Ms. Cindy does a wonderful job of teaching the kids while still encouraging play and exploration. Our son is 6 months and is very comfortable with his teacher, Ms. Julett, in the Inch Worm class. She is very sweet and attentive with all the babies. The room is very clean and they require shoes to be removed since the babies spend time on the floor. She always has music playing, and ensures that he's always getting enough tummy time and is moved around to different activity mats to keep him engaged and entertained. Diapers and wipes are also included in the tuition, which is a big help! We've really enjoyed Creative Minds since we moved our daughter here about a year ago. read more

There are good and bad things about this school and as unhappy as they have made me I can definitely say the school is very clean , well kept and (some ) of the teachers are great . My child does not do good with drop offs (like most toddlers ) and out of the entire 6 months there I tried everything I could with very to little help from the staff and assistant directors even after having a talk with them. What was the last straw for me was my child sitting in the lobby (because that's their morning routine for early drop offs) by the front door crying for 15-20 minutes with no comfort from the two teachers that open the school, no compassion, not even a budge to move him from the door speaking that other parents were walking past him and he was right in front of the main door . But according to the assistant director Kristi "I just wasn't happy with their school anymore and there wasn't a need for her to review her cameras to take a look at the situation because her staff informed her my child didn't like to be consoled and she trust her teachers " (which is far from the truth ) and i guess that still makes the situation ok to her which is sad. She had no intention to call me about what happen no apology or compassion for my child and couldn't own up to say they were wrong . No one ever told me my child didn't want to be held , hugged ,comforted or that maybe it just wasn't a good fit they gladly took my weekly payments and called it a day. If you disagree with the assistant director Kristi because you know what's best for your child and because you pay them to provide a service for you then you should expect an attitude in return. You can only have your child there for 10 hours and afterwards there is a 1.00 per minute fee. They close around the holidays early or open late the entire week or whatever they feel is best as if the parent doesn't have an 9-5 job during the holiday season . Children who arrive early (when they claim to open at 6:30) sit in the front lobby off camera until the assistant director comes in and the teachers all run to their rooms or if it's at least 7:30. Overall my child had a great class room teacher however the school needs better compassionate teachers, better assistant directors and better morning routines . Some daycares will tell you if your child is not a good fit for their school and as a parent it is ok to say if a school is not a good fit for your child .. works the same way . God bless read more

We have been extremely happy with Creative Minds from the teachers all the way to the director. Miss Holly, Miss Cee Cee and Miss Kenya have been our daughters teachers and all have been excellent. The administrative staff and director, Miss Mary Ann, Miss Tony, and Miss Rachel, are all easy to communicate with and are very responsive. Our daughter is alway excited to go to school and loves talking about what she's learning. It's fun watching her imitate circle time and singing the songs they sing in school. This place is awesome! Teachers are so caring. They understood in the beginning that it took my son a little bit to get adjusted to a new environment. I get a report daily of his feedback and progress. They address any concerns I had very quickly and made me as a first time Mom leaving my son in a new environment very comfortable and peace of mind. They even have cameras for viewing throughout the day. Rachel and Toni are both awesome!! I love the fact is so convenient to my home and work. A bit pricey but definitely worth every penny!! I worked at Creative Minds for about a week, and had some difficulties, which led me to leaving their team. However, after talking with the owner, I feel confident that my earlier concerns will be taken care of. I feel that the owner truly cares about the children at his school and that he wants to make it the best school possible. I moved my daughter in March at 3.5 years to Creative Minds. She adjusted quickly and actually became a lot more outgoing and enjoys the different activities that are offered. My focus is on free play and connecting my daughter with music & arts. Creative Minds is a great fit for us and the interior is very friendly and bright. The playground stands out with it's play structures and I like that it's shielded from the sun. I love the music CD they provide for all newly enrolled children - we listen to it in the car and at home. If you are more naturally minded then this is one of the few places north of Dallas representing what you are looking for. read more

I toured several pre schools in the area before I chose creative minds..it has been the best decision I made. My daughter is 2 years old and never been to a school setup before. Yes! This place is awesome and right school for my 4 year old. I was worried about the transition, but she has done great! I believe we have found the best day care in the area! I can tell that all the teachers and staff really care about the kids. We are always greeted with a smile when we walk in the door. Ms.Cindy is the class teacher, and she have been wonderful! I love how they incorporate a lot of singing into the day. My daughter will come home singing new songs she has learned. I also love the Tadpoles communication system they use. We became a part of the Creative minds in 2016 Our daughter had been at home with a nanny so it was very important we found the "right" place for her. We visited many of the facilities around the Frisco area and kept coming back to creative minds.It was not an easy transition for her. She cried every day and stopped eating. We were assured that it was perfectly normal for toddlers to go through this tough time, but she soon grew to love going to school and developed new relationships quickly. We received an enormous amount of encouragement and support from all of the Creative Minds staff. They would give us hugs and send daily pictures. They really went through this transition with us. The positive changes we saw in her intellectual and social development almost immediately gave us great comfort that we had made the right choice.The School truly puts in a lot of time, heart and passion in all they do that my daughter has truly benefited from their dedication. read more
