It's the kind of place where you can slowly wander around and keep noticing new details in each piece. I never made it to their original location, but this new space is big and spacious, which makes it easy to take everything in. It feels open, welcoming, and thoughtfully laid out. After seeing everything, I'm definitely interested in coming back to try one of their workshops at some point. It seems like such a cool, hands-on experience.

I tried a one time class (3 hours) in the winter and made a snowflake and it made me want to try more classes out and learn how to do bigger pieces- and they have a lot of class variety and dates. I did their 6 week copper foil class and then a 4 week stained lead class. Kris and Lisa are both amazing instructors! I learned so much utilizing the two different techniques, and they're so helpful and knowledgable- always making themselves available to answer any questions you have. You can also use the workshop space outside of class time if you signed up for the 4 or 6 week classes (call ahead and make sure no other classes are going on). I haven't been able to do any fusing classes yet but I hear from everyone who has taken any that they're so fun. They also do repairs and sell stained glass pieces inside- They got it all!

We popped into Salado Glassworks on a whim yesterday as we are visiting from North Carolina and…read morestaying with friends about an hour away from this glass studio. It is such a cool place! They sell beautiful blown glass gift items and they offer sessions that you can book to blow your own glass ornament or bowl. The studio has some bleachers for people to sit on to watch the glass blowers in action. The people working in the glass blowing studio were super nice and one guy even talked us through what they were doing. They heat the glass to over 2,000 degrees to work with it! Amazing! Definitely worth stopping in and a great place for gift items. You can also commission them to make custom pieces. The friend we are visiting knows someone who had them make a bathroom sink for their home.

I took the Intro to Blockprinting class this past weekend and overall, it was fun. It is an open space with all sorts of art supplies, tools, and just about anything your imagination can muster up. Lots of inspiration. I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.

They had construction paper, ribbons, highlighters, stamps, hot glue guns, and anything you might find at Michael's. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and showed us how she made her lanterns. She walked us step-by-step through the process. Now, I'm not a crafty person, but I was inspired enough by the ambiance and overflow of art supplies to get some creative juices flowing. At the end, I was able to create my own lanterns with some creative twists. I had a fun time and will recommend my crafty friends to check this place out!
