The Furniture Store That Is So Much More…read more Calling this place a furniture store feels like a serious understatement. It's part furniture store, part ever-changing décor wonderland, part treasure hunt, and part phenomenal gift shop. Every time I walk in, there's something new--and usually something I didn't even know I needed until I saw it! The selection is constantly changing, which makes every visit feel like a little adventure. You can find beautiful furniture, unique home décor, unexpected treasures, and gifts that are actually fun and different from the same things you see everywhere else. And one of my favorite things? They buy your old stuff, too! So you can make room for the new treasures without wondering what on earth you're going to do with the things you're replacing. It's basically a furniture store with the soul of a treasure hunt. You never know what you're going to find, but you can pretty much guarantee you'll leave with something you didn't know you wanted. If you haven't been, go. But don't blame me when you find five things you suddenly "need."

I asked the woman sitting behind the cash register if she could give me some info on the consignment/resale process, and she just stared blankly and said, "All of that information is on our website." Well, if you don't have a few minutes to give me some details when I stop in the store, I surely don't have any time to visit your website. Very unhelpful. Good thing I do have the time to leave a review about the poor service.

Today's Home is an excellent company to work with! I will absolutely keep them in mind the next…read moretime we need any new furniture or decor. We needed a loveseat/chaise for our small basement space / reno and TH is one of the few (if not maybe the only) retailers to sell Palliser, a modular brand, in the area. Working with Beth in June 2020 was excellent! We had an idea of a few options that would work and she walked us around the showroom (which is beautiful btw!) and helped us weigh all the pros and cons and discussed color and texture options. We opted for an all-leather black loveseat/chaise which would need to be custom ordered. Due to COVID it took +/-10 weeks to come in. Unfortunately, when we got it the chaise was on the wrong side!!! I called them immediately and they were able to determine that during our order we never drew out what the final product would look like, so they said they would reorder and exchange. It took another +/-10 weeks to order in another piece but thankfully our basement remodel took a pause for other reasons too. We just got the new loveseat/chaise today and it's PERFECT!!!! The delivery and install staff was great getting both sets in and out without nicking or bumping either the furniture or our walls. I am so so so thankful that TH was able to identify that they had missed drawing out the final product during the ordering process and were willing to do an even exchange on a custom piece. Obviously mistakes happen and custom pieces take time. I am not "docking stars" for simple mistakes or for COVID lead times. I think all things considered, Today's Home truly deserve five stars.

When it comes to quality vs price, quality is always my choice. From the time I entered the store I…read moremet with and worked with Nathan who understood my needs for a new dining table and chairs and went over options. Everything they sell here is natural wood, no veneers, particle board, or whatever. Many of the items are imported from countries like Malaysia but they also have US made Amish wood furniture as well. There is no pressure to buy and you are always guaranteed the lowest possible price excluding sale and clearance merchandise. The highest prices are Amish made followed by a Canadian brand. I was interested at first in a drop leaf table and Nathan told me both the pros and cons of owning one of those. What's nice is that depending upon the manufacturer you choose you can mix and match coordinating chairs to your like as well as buy as many as you need as opposed to an entire set. They work within your budget and while everything is pricey you are getting what you pay for. I was told up front that from the time I make a selection it could take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to have it sent and then they arrange for you to either pick it up or pay a standard delivery and installation fee. If you are still not ready to take delivery when it arrives then they will hold the merchandise in store for a set amount of time when you can get it. What's nice about the delivery fee is that it is valid for one year from the time of your 1st purchase if you later decide you want to purchase more furniture. Nathan did state that although it is solid wood, it is subject to the same wear and tear you would expect from any wood over time. He gave me the measurements of the table sets I was considering so I could measure them in my kitchen. In addition you can choose whatever wood combination mix for the item you are buying. Whether you want oak, maple, or cherry, there are swatches for each product as well as upholstery choices if the model you select has room for a chair cushion. They do offer 12 month interest free financing with a credit card company should you choose to pay in installments. I like the fact that I could take pictures to see my potentials at home as well as "test" out the various chair options with the models I was considering. Tables and chairs now come in different sizes for those who like counter height vs traditional as well as high legged chairs and benches. I was very pleased with my visit and having gleaned enough information to make an informed decision I will return here shortly to purchase the dining set that best meets my needs. Room Concepts is family owned and operated and has only 2 locations. The other showroom is in Wexford, PA but you can get an idea of what they carry online. I noticed a few things about their in-store selection: Chairs - recliner chairs, reading chairs, kitchen chairs, sofa chairs, office chairs, chair chairs (their selection is endless.) Rugs - probably a good 1/3 of their second floor is covered in rolled up rugs just waiting to be unrolled, admired, and stepped on! Tables, lamps, paintings, office furnishing, lots of artwork tastefully displayed throughout. I had the opportunity to come in right before their closing, and a store representative was kind enough to offer any assistance although I mentioned I was only browsing. Later, after a brief conversation about my interest in home furnishing, she enthusiastically and generously offered me around 8-10 catalogs of their selections so I could learn more about their selections, and she topped it off with a complimentary Weisshouse chocolate candy bar (which was so delicious!). One of their designers was also working in the back, and he kindly introduced himself to me and taught me a little bit about where/how they go about finding and selecting their furnishings for display.
