I had a box of things I needed to get rid of to Goodwill and this cafe is at the end of this little strip. We were hungry and I wanted something healthier so of course I open YELP and start looking through the pics and after dropping off items went straight to eat. My husband ordered the chicken cordon blue casserole and after drooling over the Asian salad pics, that's what I ordered. They have a cooler case with food you can take home and put in oven. Stuff like spaghetti casserole and spinach casserole. Also broccoli salads, pretzel salad, and banana pudding. My husband can't resist banana pudding so after he was finished he got one and I had a bite. I dropped a star because my husband got his food before me and was halfway done before I got my huge salad. And also I thought it was a little pricey. read more

Large catering order for the holidays. My guests/family didn't like anything this time. I was very disappointed in quality and overall freshness and taste. Not one of my family members enjoyed the food. I was apologizing all night and will definitely skip Clarksville catering and cook myself next year. Mac and cheese was horrible- Boxed Velveta. Sweet corn bread was dry and for $40 I expect fresh corn not canned. Lasagna was soggy and tasteless. Meatloaf was the only food with flavor- too bad it only serves 4 not the 10 as described. Solid lunch place. I had never been here, but had heard mixed reviews. Matter of fact, an old friend used to work here, but I somehow never managed to check it out. I was helping my mother buy some things one Saturday afternoon and we stopped in for lunch. Not knowing what they had, I can say my expectations were not very high; if I'm being honest. I didn't know they had outdoor seating, but was pleasantly surprised that they had a few tables out front. Upon walking in, they have a couple take away fridges. They weren't very full, but they had an assortment of things. They have paper menus and their special is on a chalk board behind the counter. Cute decor I didn't know what I wanted, but ordered the daily special. It was the best value for you buck. Turkey guacamole sandwich. It came with a side and a drink. The food was delicious. It was pretty massive too. I only ate half of what I ordered. Price is a little high. Their fruit tea was pretty good as well. I would come back for lunch. read more

Cute little spot for lunch in a shopping center. The staff was friendly and there was tons of parking. I thought the food was good but rather overpriced for what you actually get. I had a half and half combo with a BLT sandwich and small cup of potato soup with a sweet tea and it was almost $15. I probably wouldn't go back based on the price alone for the portion size. read more

Our first visit! I had the Asian Salad with Chicken Breast and my wife ordered a BLT/soup combo. The salad was amazing! Dressing was an excellent accompaniment and was chock full of sesame seeds. The salad assembler left out the chicken breast, however. When she brought out the missing protein, I discovered I had paid for some cubed chicken breast meat and not an entire breast. To be fair, I could not have finished it if there had been a whole breast. What the cubes amounted to was about a third of a breast. This was a man-sized salad and I would order it again. My wife had a Choose Two with a half BLT and a bowl of Baked Potato Soup. Soup was well-flavored, but just slightly too thin. The BLT's shortcoming was the B part. The bacon, as the lead component was very thin and wimpy because it had been microwaved and lacked crispiness. We had two self-serve sodas. Totaled to just over $31.00. I thought that was a little pricy, but as we recover from the COVID pandemic I think we'll see more of this as small shops try to figure out how to add more workers without going broke. They have entrees in a refrigerated case. Lasagna. Grape salad. Dessert items. Most definitely worth a visit if you've never been. We'll be back to try other menu items. read more

Rare find in Clarksville! I have eaten here a few times and i love this little cafe!! well lets talk about why! The staff here is wonderful! lots of big smiles and helpful suggestions on the menu, they all know it inside and out. The cafe itself is like any other cafe with a big open seating area that is kept very clean. They keep cute little table settings fresh on the tables that add a nice touch. Its easy to get in and out quick if not eating in. They have pre-made items in the cooler to the left as you walk in and then straight ahead is the counter to order/pay. The front wall is floor to ceiling windows that let tons of light in and make it a very bright warm setting. The food is wonderfully fresh, traditional but perfect! My last visit i had the cafe club special sandwich with a side of their famous broccoli salad. It was amazing! the toast was lightly buttered and perfectly toasted. The bacon and meats were delicious and all the toppings on the sandwich were fresh. The broccoli salad is just amazing and i highly recommend it. Its a little rich and is topped with bacon (I'm sure it can be ordered without). They do have a beer license with a handful basic selection. most cafe's do not go the extra to sell beer. The coolers have side dishes and items that are cold or need reheating like their amazing quiche. Another note is that the menu itself is mostly personal receipts from the owner and some from others but it make for this great homemade or home cooked feel. Thank the Lord for Yelp!!! We are traveling and it's Mother's Day- everywhere we tried to stop was either closed or required reservations. We thought we were stuck with fast food until I came across this gem on Yelp! Thought we would try one more place. I'm so glad we did! They had a special for Mother's Day- quiche with a salad & poppyseed bread with an orange glaze. It was divine!!! Whoever said it was microwaved food must be trying to sabotage-this sweet place. I would give this 4.5 stars! This is my favorite place to eat at I'm in Clarksville. The staff is always friendly and the food is great plus it's a local place. Everything I've tried Is great and fresh. They have some seasonal items which are always nice to try. There isn't an item on the menu that I don't like. The salads are really good. My two favorites are the Asian Salad and Spinach Salad. The salad portions are huge and I usually take some of it home. Super cute & friendly place. Ate here for the first time today. Had the chicken enchilada quiche & corn pudding. (Oh and fruit tea!) Good business, Gone Bad. Relatively new business "Gingham Café" was initially a delightful convenience before their business practices went south, and I stress the word "convenience." After frequent weekly visits and hundreds upon hundreds of dollars paid for mediocre meals over the last couple years, nevermore will they see another penny from me. I was recently warned by several other friends that frequented this establishment how ordering a child's menu item would be difficult if my child we're not standing immediately beside me, due to new stipulations that border ridiculousness; This is important to reference because my children attend an establishment in close proximity so often, that I send them on their way while I procure their food. My friend was told by an employee that the business is losing money on their children's menu items due to adults purchasing for themselves (which is most likely not the case given the over 100 children next door and a majority are eating their food on a regular basis) A children's menu item after tax is between $8 and $11. (Typical adult menus item aprox. $10 before tax) Our frequent purchase is a cold, ham & cheese w/mayo on white bread, with a handful of potato chips and a large ice water. The same meal at Panera Bread Company costs $4.70 after tax, AND THEY BAKE THIER OWN BREAD! Today the cost was over $10... after thinking about this, I decided I could not in good conscience complete that purchase when I could go next-door and buy all of the ingredients and provide six sandwiches at least. Next, I ordered for the other child that was with me and paid for her meal. A cheese quesadilla comprised of one tortilla a sprinkling of cheese, a fruit cup, and she added chicken for $1.50ish, in total her meal was $10.51 after tax which did include a drink (A comparable meal at Panera would have cost $6.08 after tax). AND NOW FOR THE GOOD PART: Once the girls were seated they began to wait on one child's meal and start their homework, while I proceeded to go next-door and purchase food for the other child. When I arrived back I had the items in a grocery bag all packaged with the grocery bag knotted. I sat down and continued to help one child with their homework while the other child completed the meal that was purchased at that location. It was at this moment I was approached by two women, one I assume was the owner, and told that I would be asked to leave because health regulations would not permit outside food in their establishment. Understanding this rule and having kept my food packaged in a bag where it would only be opened and consumed next door once we departed, I explained this to the ladies as they stood over myself and two children. I did ask if they are rule applied to the candy in my purse or the lunchbox in a book bag at which point she said "I can't control the regulations" and it was inferred that I was being asked to leave a second time. It was degrading and I felt like I had been criminalized after having made a purchase and was not allowed to stay while one child finished her meal. The situation could've been handled in numerous ways that would have gotten their point across without offending the paying customer, but they chose to handle it in a very rude and mannerless way. It will be a cold day in hell before I spend one penny and that establishment. Having been in business for many years and having been the daughter of a restauranteur, I have never seen anyone treat a customer with such rudeness and lack of respect. This is no way to run a business! (FYI: it is not unlawful to consume it, however they can make it individual policy which is not what they stated when they behaved so rudely. It seems that the owner was not happy with the fact that I only purchased one meal and pursued a second meal elsewhere. She falsely used regulations to back bad behavior.) In essence, she ran a quiet paying customer out of her establishment AND A CHILD WAS NOT ALLOWED TO FINISH THE MEAL PURCHASED, while the two people waiting on her were reading. read more

Omg. Obsessed. The kale salad with grilled chicken is SO good. The dressing is homemade and needs to be bottled and sold in stores! It's amazing. My boyfriend loves the grilled cheese and the BLT. The sweets, broccoli salad, soups, potatoes, spinach casserole, etc are awesome! I try to eat something new every time I go and everything on the menu is consistently great. This cafe has a very nice atmosphere, located in a central spot for where I live. The food is good and everything tasted fresh.

I'm updating my review because I have really grown to love this place! Their salads are HUGE and so fresh (with real lettuce, no iceberg). The service is great and the fruit tea is delicious.
