We drove awhile out of the way to come here, as our friends had been raving about the food. The pub was beautiful and classy, and we got an awesome, huge table in the corner for our group of eight. There was a cozy fireplace and dim lighting to set the mood. Everyone at the table ordered a starter for themselves, which I'm not used to coming from the USA. I always forget that their portions are smaller. If everyone at the table each ordered both a starter and a main at home, it would be an insane amount of food (LOL).
I tried the hummus and pita, as well as the baby chorizo with the creamy dipping sauce which were both pretty good. My main was the best part of the night. I got the chilli, which had beans, quinoa, avocado, and other healthy ingredients. It was much appreciated, as it can be hard to find food that's not heavy in English pubs (a girl can only eat so many pies and fish & chips). It filled me up and I loved every bite, as well as the fact that it came with pita. I tried my husband's margarita pizza and the crust was good too.
Cheers to a fun spot with good food! PS: They also had non-alcoholic beer which was nice! read more
