Green Juice, But For Adults.
Cindy Z.

This is a cool, little speakeasy that's hidden upstairs inside of Five Guys. It's a treat for first-timers as they're wondering why they're inside a Five Guys. Just head all the way to the back. It wasn't too busy when we arrived since it was early, but there was a security by the time we left as they started getting ready for a line. The space is cozy and chill with booths, bar, and some lounge seats. I had the 3AM in Ktown ($22) and Green Juice, But For Adults ($21). The cocktails are creative and colorful. The best part is that they allow you to bring outside food to the bar, which is such a treat considering how much good food is in West Village. You can grab a pie or get some Five Guys just downstairs while drinking.

The Garret is a cozy, intimate speakeasy in the West Village. Located above the Five Guys, you would definitely miss it by just walking by (be sure to actually enter through the Five Guys and head to the back). We came here with a group of friends, and they had a nice intimate seating area by the bar with a large couch and a few tables. I went with a classic Cosmo and it was stellar! However, they have plenty of speciality drinks on the menu to pick from. The bartenders were excellent and I was always served quickly! I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to try something new in the area.

This speakeasy/bar is a cool spot hidden at the back of a Five Guys. If it weren't for my friend, I would've never known about it. It's not the biggest place, but there are booth and tables for you to chill with friends. Their drinks are pretty solid (my friend and I got their 3AM in K-town and Strawberry Fields (NA)). I also heard that you can order Five Guys and bring it up to this bar?? If that's the case, I'll be sure to do that next time I'm here!

This is a fun speakeasy upstairs the Five Guys. I enjoyed the ambiance and the first round of espresso martinis. Our second round wasn't as great. I wasn't too sure what my next drink was, actually. Seemed like maybe a Long Island but should've been a dirty Shirley. Anyway, my friend liked her martini. We had fun with the music and our time together. There was a man who needed to be cut off that my friend talked to one of the staffers there, and they were able to help out and get him to stop being a creeper.

Speakeasy located in the West Village. Made a reservation and sat in the back. It was very intimate and had a very dynamic music choices. We probably listened to every possible genre but whomever was running the music knew what's up. Drinks were unique and came out quick.

I'm glad I finally got to try this place! Its been on my bookmarks forever. This cool little speakeasy on top of a five guys. The bar gets super packed on the weekends but my date and I were able to find a seat in the very back.

My first speak easy. It was ok. Kind of pricey. Drinks were over priced but it was an okay cute spot

Little speakeasy above Five Guys?? I'm there! Fun cocktails, laid back area whether you'd like to sit at the bar top or in cozy lounge chairs by the window. This place is very relaxing and has so much natural light from the skylights and surrounding windows. There's a back lounge area that would be pretty awesome for small groups. I also admire the quirky idea behind the bathroom door using a bundle of door knobs to trick patrons from finding the actual knob out. It's such a quaint place to hang out with friends by day or by night. I ordered a couple of cocktails - this is during November / fall winter time: The Spikey Westchester and the Norse Whisperer. Well made drinks for $16-18! The best part is the music selection- they blast loud hip hop and I freakin love it!

This is a fun speakeasy on top of the Five Guys in the West Village! My friend and I needed to kill time before going to a reservation, so we decided to come here. I was crowded, but we lucked out and snagged two spots at the bar. We only had a drink, but it was definitely a fun and lively vibe. People were mingling and they had music going. I had their Born and Braised cocktail, which was gin based and was definitely fall in a glass! It tasted like boozy apple cider. Definitely recommend! This is a cool cocktail bar to grab a drink with friends! We didn't have to wait in line, even on a Saturday night, and it's pretty fun that it's above a 5 Guys!

This is such a fun little date night spot just off the 1 line! The Garrett is a bar just above Five Guys. They have a really nice selection of drinks, and we were impressed by their cocktails and nonalcoholic options. The best part is you can order five guys below and eat your burgers upstairs with the drinks. The view is really nice and the ambiance is cozy

Carla O.

This place has so much potential , if only their drinks were good . I'm sad because it's a cute speakeasy tucked away inside a 5 guys burger place. I really wanted to love it but my drinks were off . Maybe switch the bartender and I'll give this place a second try . I had the spikey westchester (featured in the pic below ), the refinery 63 ( not featured as I was already disappointed with my first drink , I stopped taking pictures ) and tried my friends drink calledthe full Brazilian . All were either too strong but in a bad way or didn't taste like what you'd think . I'd say go at your own risk :/

Does this bar have happy hour on Thursday?

The website makes it look like you need to make a reservation. Is this the case?

No - we didn't need one. But the entrance is a bit odd, which you may not realize. You have to go through the 5 guys restaurant on the bottom floor to access the stairs that take you up to the bar - there's just a security guy at the 5 guys.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

He called us to let us know our table was ready but we missed the call (our fault). We returned the call immediately and got there within a couple minutes anyway. We were ready to patiently wait for the next availability but were met with some attitude and unnecessary comments from him during the waiting experience. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. They also get creative with variations like a frozen version and even an Irish Coffee martini. If you want something different, the "Act Naturally" is a standout, mixing Irish whiskey with Guinness and fig in a way that works. Food is just as impressive for a bar. We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily.
