Too many random items, not enough garlic. Stick to the theme. There are a few good spices to chose from, other than that it's mostly kitschy hot sauces.

As a garlic lover I was so happy to learn there was a shop dedicated to all things garlic! We were in town for the festival and decided to do some exploring and stumbled upon this place and boy did they have garlic everything! From pasta sauce to seasonings, hot sauces, and beyond! The perfect place for all your garlic needs. It was so hard to not buy the entire store. The man behind the counter seemed nice and helpful. It's actually also a winery if you're interested although we didn't end up checking it out. The location is off the highway which can present a bit of a challenge depending on the flow of traffic but other than that I think it was a great stop. We ended up buying a few products and we're excited to try it all out.

It was great being able to stop by after passing it on the freeway so many times. It has a very cozy feel and a variety of products. No one really acknowledged me until checking out and proceeding to tell me to choose a different garlic pack since it was rotten. I didn't think much of it and it did seem pricey especially since the receipt didn't give me a break down of the prices for each product but I love garlic so I bought it anyway. I was beyond disappointed to find that BOTH garlic knot packs I purchased were completely rotten. I'm all for supporting local businesses but what was frustrating was that these products were advertised for being good up to 3-6 months but ended up having to discard.

Tiny garlic store selling many varieties of garlic products, no restroom. No garlic ice cream. Small store. A bit expensive.

    Supposedly "fresh" heads of garlic.

Spoiled product, terrible response: I purchased a 10-head garlic braid and virtually all the cloves were rotten. I contacted them 3 times, and they ghosted me. I put in a claim with my credit card company for the purchase. Buyer beware!

I came to Gilroy to taste some wine and it was a super idea. All the wines I taste were good. I love this place. Decorations are nice and super like no other winery place I have seen. I do recommend this place to all. Customer service was good and nice conversations during wine testing.

This place is a Garlic shoppe and winery but didn't really see anyone tasting the wine. But maybe it's because it was the end of the day. This place did not leave a good first impression. The owner was rude but maybe he was having a bad day so I'll let it go. But his demeanor was terrible even on the phone. I was coming from Carmel and realized we'd pass by Gilroy on the way home and have been wanting to try Garlic ice cream. I called and when he answered I asked "is this garlic shoppe?" and he replied with "that's what I just said." Like my bad, the reception on the road was terrible so I wanted to confirm. I called to see what time they close because Yelp is sometimes wrong with store hours. The business hours list this place closing at 7 but I called at 6 and they said they close in 45 minutes. Thankfully we were going to reach in 30 but good thing we called because the 15 minutes difference could mean an open or closed store upon arrival. Anyways, limited parking spaces but they do have a port-a-potty on the side. The store itself has a lot of selection of sauces, condiments, beef jerky, and other items. As well as fruits. The garlic ice cream is from Marianne's, Santa Cruz based. So not local but it was surprisingly delicious! Just a subtle garlic taste. They had chocolate garlic ice cream and original. About $4 each. We also got Beefy Boys beef jerky (company is from Salinas) in the sweet garlic beef jerky flavor. A bit spicy and super tough. Not as soft and chewy as I like my jerkies. I wish they had more local products being sold. But their selection is great. My bf also got a garlic mozzarella dip and when he asked the elderly male (who I assume is the owner and the same person I talked with on the phone) how long the dip is good for (which is a very valid question) he replied with, "it's a dip. Not too long." I thought that was a bit rude and condescending. There are nicer ways he could've answered. Simply "a week at most" would've been fine. Anyways, I'm glad to finally try garlic ice cream from the garlic capital of the world, even though the ice cream is made in Santa Cruz. My first option to buy from was close so I went here and I'd probably come back if it was my last option. Otherwise, I'm not too keen on supporting businesses who don't treat their customers with kindness.

The store is well organized and very clean. The garlic is amazing every couple of months we will find an excuse to go on that direction, so I can stop by the store to buy their garlic. It is located in Gilroy so close to 2 hours from me but it's worth it. It seems to be family owned and they are very welcoming and attentive to their costumers. Highly recommend you to stop by whenever you headed on that direction.

I went to this place out of curiosity. They had everything garlic. The shelves were full colorful. The store was very welcoming. We were not pushed to purchase something or rushed. They also have more items, not just garlic related merchandise. They had variety of oils and sauces for cooking, marinating , dipping sauces, nuts and more. Overall clean and friendly environment.

You're worried about garlic breath you cant hang out with us

Did you know you're supposed to leave your garlic out in the sun on the counter. It can last up to three months! Needless to say we got a bunch of garlic stuff and some fig jam

Highly recommend, cute location and they also offer easy online shopping! Quick delivery! Garlic dude dust and granulated garlic make great seasoning and give delicious flavor! Great customer service!

It had what I wanted, Elephant garlic, so I consider my visit a win! This is a place I feel a lot of us want to stop at but are always in a hurry going by. It took me almost 8 years to finally stop. It had the three things people would expect from a place called garlic shoppe. 1. Dried whole garlic, 2. Garlic seasoning 3. Garlic ice cream. I do think they could have more variety of whole garlic. I did think it was a bit pricey but I imagine when it takes customers years to finally decide to stop you don't have the luxury of low prices and plus it's a specialty store. There is a lot more than just garlic related things here and it's easy to get distracted. They have a sign outside that says free wine tasting next door with a receipt.

We arrived about an hour before closing and there were only a few other people picking cherries. We walked up and were told what to look for and what cherries to avoid. We were handed bags and told how far on the property we could venture. The price was around $6.99 a pound. It's more expensive than the store for bing cherries, but you can't beat the quality, freshness and supporting a family business. We picked cherries for about 20 minutes and of course took the opportunity to take some pictures. We picked about a pound and a half and were on our way. This was a great quick stop and we had a healthy snack on our road trip. I would recommend stopping if you are in the area.

But, in the meantime here's a few tips for next year's picking: *Follow them on IG at @UPICKCHERRIES for updates and picking info. *When they open a Ranch get there as early as you can.
