Over the years we have seen a steady decline in the upkeep of the restaurant, the service staff checking on customers and the food quality. The one item that has gone up exponentially is the cost of everything on the menu. We have continued to spend money here out of some false sense of nostalgia in hopes to see this place rebound. The picture I have included is a broken dish our food was served in. Luckily it was noticed before anyone in our party cut their hands on the protruding shards. The only reason I am giving this review 3 stars is because the live music performance by The Heat at the time we stopped in kept us there. I highly recommend looking them up and planning a night out to see them.

This looked really good, but I was still too full from dinner to want anything quite that large. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Two employees were there; one was a friendly young man who was clearly new as the other employee was teaching him how to ring up orders; the other was a surly older woman who seemed annoyed that I'd stopped in. I asked if they could make one of their signature cones in a cup instead and they agreed. I got the tiramisu variety, which is tiramisu and coffee gelato with coffee syrup and a ladyfinger. It was made in a reasonable time and I was rung up and headed out to my car to bring it back to eat at my hotel. The price was a little high but the portion was absolutely massive. You could easily split this treat. I certainly was unable to finish it. Overall, I thought it was only okay. The texture of the gelato was lovely, but the flavors were just kind of muted. I thought it should've been a bit sweeter, but not because the coffee was too strong; indeed, the coffee flavor was also just sort of light and unobtrusive. The syrup had an artificial taste that I wasn't crazy about and I was relieved when I'd eaten down past it to just spoonfuls of gelato. Lastly, the ladyfinger was sadly very stale, and even an attempt at ice cream rehydration didn't help it much. If I were to return, I'd definitely try one of the twister cones and would probably opt for a different flavor. Curiosity sated, for now!

Both contain a lot of sugar, but gelato is traditionally made with less fat. My understanding, ice cream is made with cream and gelato is made from milk. They just do not just offer wonderful gelato. They do Turkish delight, baklava, Macarons, and etc. all made fresh daily. I did not try them all, only had the Turkish delight, saffron gelato, hot jasmine tea, and the coffee Affogato. The coffee Affogato is great flavor but not overwhelming enough to put you off the taste of coffee. But you definitely taste the coffee flavor. More like a coffee with cream and sugar taste. I took pictures of the gelatos but decided not to because i did not take a picture of right away. It kinda melted. So I did not post them. The tea has a strong jasmine tea flavor and the Turkish delight is very soft and very sweet and chewy. I sampled the chocolate Affogato. If you are big into dark chocolate. I definitely recommend this. It is very delicious! Just too rich and delicious my palate. They have some wonderful seating outside and inside. They do offer free Wi-Fi and some board games if available. The seating area is comfortable and good spot to relax and unwind. Especially if you just want something sweet and quiet place to get away.
