The Garcade is a favorite spot for my son and I. Admission rate is fair based the ability to play all day for free. Countless pinball machines and many other arcade games that remind me on my youth, we don't struggle to find games we like playing together. Don't sleep on the Cosmotron. We rush too it when it's empty and enjoy laughing about the funny ways we crash our spacecraft. Other favorites are the Dig Dug, Galaga and even Gauntlet. We used to attend the Milwaukee Gaming Classic event, but if you missed the date, this is the best alternative! We spent the whole afternoon here. $20/ per person for unlimited play. I recommend eating before you go, as they only sell snacks. You can also come and go throughout the day within the same opening hours with your bracelet. This is a family-friendly destination for both adults and kids, with a wide variety of pinball machines and arcade games. I saw they sterilize pinball machines after people play. Video Games have been of interest to me for many years and I'd say a good 35+ years if you are keeping score. Over that 35 years of video gaming, it has been a combination of full size arcade games, pinball machines, home gaming systems and handhelds as well. The Garcade brings a great feeling of nostalgia when it comes to jumping on these various rows of gaming possibilities! The Garcade houses a good amount of games including Pinball games which is great! There is also an area for kids parties which is a nice touch and throwback to the days of Chuck E Cheese parties. I've been here about 2 times in my life and what's cool about it is you can play for a few hours and come and go as you please! You just need to make sure you get a wristband and a stamp to come back. I just wish you could have beverages to drink while gameplay. I've been coming here consistently for roughly 5 years, which obviously means I love the place, but there are a couple things that are incredibly annoying. They have such a great pinball catalog, but the majority of these games have weak flippers due to the tremendous amount of play they get. Several games have coils that don't work, or shots that are plain unmake-able due to the weak flippers. A few games they tried to band-aid this issue by lessening the angle of the playfield, which just makes the game a lot slower. The answer is simple, they just need to invest into getting new flipper assemblies and solenoids for their machines. I visit many other pinball arcades throughout the state, and they all promptly fix these sorts of issues when brought to their attention. The garcade seems to go quality over quantity with pinball, as they continue buying brand new machines, but neglect their existing ones. Also their water fountains have been down since 2020. Please fix this. COVID is over, you get very thirsty playing for several hours. The video game selection and quality, as well as the physical games like air hockey, foosball, ddr, and guitar hero are all awesome and I have no complaints for them. read more

It's pretty fun. Lots of games to choose from. Many are very old and ones I had never heard of. The best part of the place is definitely the extensive collection of pinball machines. For $15, I'm not sure if it is worth it. The longer you stay, the more you get your money's worth, but I got bored after a while. So I find it funny that I have never heard that this place existed until now because whenever I am around this area, I usually eat at the Chinese buffet located literally to the right next to this place. The place is pretty cool. Family friendly, for $15 you can play all the arcades they have to offer ($10 if you are under the age of 10 I believe). Being that I recently listened to my first audio book, "Ready Player One" and comparing it to the movie adaptation, I was ready to take a ride down memory lane into the nostalgic world of retro gaming. You are given a wristband that is good for unlimited play all day until midnight. So if you'd like, you could go to the arcade early in the day, take a break, grab some food and come back no problem. The bathrooms are clean, service was friendly when we got there, jukebox is free on the back wall, and there is a wide array of vintage retro games as well as arcades that I used to play at Aladdin's Castle in Greenfield back in the day (those that know, know). The only complaint that I noticed is that some of the games don't function properly due to the worn and tear of the machines (Ex. Time Crisis game doesn't shoot all the time properly at the screen. Discovered this place a few weeks ago and have been wanting to check it out since then. Finally made it there today and me, my wife and my daughter had a blast! They have over 100 retro arcade games and over a dozen pinball machines. The best part is you pay a few to enter and all games are on "free play" mode so no walking around with pockets full of quarters or having to constantly buy tokens. It's not cheap at $15 to play, but the wrist band is good all day long and allows you to come and go as you please. I've been to these retro arcades before but am usually disappointed, both by the limited number of games and the amount of them down for repair. Here they have plenty of games and I saw only a handful that were down (unfortunately this included Tempest, one of my all time favorite games). Of course, there are games that they dont have, but they have all the classics and a number of fighting games from various eras of arcade gaming. It was great introducing my daughter to the games I played as a kid and she fell in love with many of them, even though, by today's standards, the graphics kind of suck. After looking for a video arcade that was reasonably close by I was disappointed to see that most arcades anywhere near me just consisted of small rooms in either bowling alleys or movie theaters with the biggest arcade being at Action Territory and the games there mainly consist of ticket games for prizes but that is not what I was looking for I was hunting for a classic no tickets pure video game experience after some googling I got lucky and came across The Garcade. I checked out their website to learn a little more about them and after looking at pictures online and seeing their vast selection of pinball machines and classic arcade games I knew I wanted to check this place out but after reading that they offer unlimited play for only 20 bucks plus a wristband so that you can come and go as you please I was sold and new that I had to make it my mission to visit this establishment so last weekend I took my two nephews who have not had the luxury of a real arcade experience like from my childhood and I was very much looking forward to sharing that with them and none of us were disappointed I'm telling you this place has more games than any other arcade I have ever been to and even though the majority of them consist of '80s games which younger children may not be into they still have a good selection of 90s classics including three of my favorites The Simpsons, X-Men, and teenage mutant Ninja turtle which are all four players so we could all enjoy them together and a good amount of fighting and race car games including some favorites like Tekken 5 and Marvel versus Capcom along with cruising USA which everybody should know about if you have ever been in an arcade in the 90s plus first person shooting games like House of the Dead and area 51 which all involve more than just a joystick and buttons so you feel like you're getting more of thrill. The pinball section is filled with a lot of different pinball games from different areas even though I'm not much of a pinball person just seeing all the lights light up and people playing gives off a very fun vibe and I also like how they have dance dance revolution and even guitar hero for those who have the skills to play them. I could honestly say a whole lot more about this place but I feel like it's something that you need to experience for yourself and if you live within a reasonable distance you really should take a day and just have some fun here I'm sure you deserve it also the staff is super friendly and while I do not believe they serve any hot food they do have snacks like chips and candy at a reasonable price not to mention plenty of black lights so where your white shirt to add to the fun and don't forget to have a blast!!!! I would just like to mention the only reason for not giving them a perfect five stars is that they do not have Marvel versus Capcom 2 which is my favorite arcade game of all time even though they do have part one it's just not the same lol. read more

Fast Times at the Garcade! The Garcade presents the nostalgic feel of an 80's arcade. I did not grow up in the 80's but am very familiar with that decade's movies and recent remakes. Driving up north from SC to WI to visit family, I wanted to get my arcade game fix, so we went north of Milwaukee to Menomonee Falls to check out The Garcade. Basically, to get in you pay $15 for a wristband which gets you access to all the classic arcade video game hits your heart could desire. Everything from the classics, '90s racing/shooting games to pinball tables. I spent around an hour and a half here playing House of the Dead (my favorite), Outrun, Star Wars Trilogy, Road Blasters and some pinball. Owner is so friendly; he let me calibrate the guns on House of the Dead after they weren't quite spot-on for my aiming hand, then I was able to finish the game with a high score. The rest of the games there were pretty much spot-on and refurbished for maintenance assurance. I give high recommendation to anyone visiting WI or in the area to check out The Garcade. It's a trip back to the nineties, and $15 all-you-can-play. No quarters or dumb card readers required. read more

My first visit to the arcade was amazing. It felt like taking a trip to "memory lane" with all of these vintage video games and pinball machines around me. I really like how you only pay $15 to play almost any game for free such as Super Mario Bros,Frogger, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Marvel vs Capcom, Mortal Kombat, Street fighter, and many more. It's also rewarding that as long as you are wearing the wristband you can go grab a bite to eat or go to a movie and return to the arcade with no extra cost. I thought this place was great. Tons of classic arcade games and none of the annoying claw machine type games. I took my 11 year old son and I kept saying "wow they have ...." it "oh this one was my favorite" over and over. A few were broken but that's okay, more reason to go back. Garcade is how an arcade should be. Fun, clean, and well run. I am a child of the arcade era and for me, the love never wore off. In fact I have a few machines in my home. But, going to an arcade still thrills me. Garcade is run by people like me, and I think that is why it is so good. In many arcades or barcades, games are not in original cabinets and you always see games out of service. Garcade is not like that. The vast majority of games are in their original cabinets with proper side art. That adds to the nostalgia and keeps the integrity of the game. Black painted cabinets with the wrong controls makes me crazy. You won't see that here. Garcade has hundreds of games and the time I was there, I saw one game out of service. That's impressive. The selection of games at Garcade is daunting. The number of games is incredible but what impressed me was the presence of some rare machines. Along with the pacman, DK, etc. was; Black Widow, Jungle Hunt (not Jungle King), Road Blasters, Tron, Pigskin, and many more that made me really happy to see. They also have a modest but impressive collection of pinball machines. They had 3 of the newest Stern machines, one of Spooky Pinball's machines and a good collection of older classics. This is a pay to get in establishment and your $15 gets you unlimited play including the pinballs. There is no food or alcohol in the place. I think that is why it is so clean. There is a bowling alley and restaurant right next door so if you need a drink, its about 20 yards away but no alcohol is allowed in the arcade...which is great. You can order pizza in and they will host a pizza party if you have a group. We were there for 4 hours...that is a long time for me to be anywhere and not be bored. I could have probably stayed longer. Garcade is a cool place and next time I am in the area, I will stop in. read more
