If there was a negative star Krueger's would qualify. Sunday morning arrives at 11:30 AM and was told "we don't open until noon". Dan the manager allowed us in and the girl at the desk was great. She helped with shoe rental, turned on a lane and we were ready to go. 3 shoe rentals and 8 frames of bowling...$80.00+. WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! The music was extremely loud to a point we couldn't talk among a party of 4. The bowling pin machine would fail every 3 to four frames. Dan the manager, bartender, arcade manager and cook didn't have time to repair the failure. He kept a good attitude but you could tell he had enough. Try to get a beer took forever. The floor was sticky from the previous evening. The ladies room was closed and were redirected to a unisex bathroom in the pool room. The bathroom was not clean and discussing. The owners obviously don't care. One person to run the entire operation is absolutely ridicules. Now why I know why they don't run leagues or tournaments. I can't believe the PBA would sanction these lanes. You want to bowl without major issue? Go somewhere else!!!! read more

Last night I went to celebrate my birthday and let the kids have fun. Had a big party going on and yet you had only one bartender ? had 3 kids not 21 standing there (shouldn't be behind the bar then) that couldn't serve us. I was left standing there over 30 minutes with several other patrons while multiple people who came up after me were continually served as others were left standing almost 30 minutes why? because they were with a party? and I was purposely ignored when saying excuse me politely multiple times. A Nice place but too expensive to be treated like that so I Closed out my tab and left. As did several other patrons. I guess you don't matter if you're not bringing in thousands of dollars in business and from what I overheard that was the owner that treated his patrons like that? We will not be back! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I'd give zero stars if I could. I and a few friends came for bowling and drinks. We went to the bar, never was greeted. The guy at the bar saw us come over and continued to clean the or organize, and took forever to serve us. We paid for 2 bowling games but our game failed to work at the beginning, took forever for the workers to figure out. When we got to the second game they said we only paid for one that's why the second game would not start. That took forever to figure out as well. Went back to the bar waited several minutes just for some other customers to come sit at the bar and get their drinks made before us so we decided to leave. Me and group of friends came here for some bowling and arcade fun just for it to be an absolute waste of time and money. We kept having problems with our lanes (we had two) and it took staff over ten minutes to fix each time. We went to the bar just to be ignored by the bar bartender for another five to ten minutes. Coming in and reading some past reviews, I was expecting a bad review... I have been here a few times before and had no problems or complaints... it's the first time I ate here and i had the Philly Cheese Steak... prices are a little more on the high side but the Phillly is very good and a large sandwich at that ... it was worth the price... the facility is an awesome establishment that has bowling , game room and the bar/ grill... very kool place for sure... I love the setup they have... being a business with so many activities, I'm sure the cost of running it is costly so I understand the higher prices... it is a family fun place but yes, somewhat pricey but in the environment we are in now , everything is getting pricey and they also have to cover the cost of so many activities... I have not bowled here , or played in the game room to make a judgment on them activities, but it is a kool and fun place... the bartender is somewhat dry but the service was great ...plenty of big screen TVs for sports at many angles and enough to watch several different games ... all in all , this is an awesome place for me ... id recommend this establishment for good times and sports entertainment read more

Meh is right. This place is what bowling alleys are not supposed to become. That is kids party palaces. I guess they have a nice large bar with every flavor of American light macro brew beer you could ever imagine, but really, there is nothing elevated or special about this place. Put all the video games, fried foods, beer signs and screaming kids you can find in a 10 mile radius into one building and you get Kruegers. For another view, if you were looking for a safe, non threatening place to have a kids birthday party or a place for a bunch of people that you do not know that well or like that much to get together for a big party, this would not be a terrible spot. Kind of like a low rent Applebee's with games. It is a safe place to take non hipsters, non beer snobs and non foodies and have a pretty good chance of everyone having a non offensive, albeit forgettable, time. If you happen to be a bowler, the lanes are not the worst, but either Classic Lanes or Village Bowl would be a superior choice. read more

Krueger's makes me feel feelings that I don't know how to feel. See, I never really visit my hometown. Menomonee Falls is oftentimes not-so-affectionately referred to as "Monotony Falls" or "the Falls" or "holy crap how the hell did I make it out alive?" (That last one is just me, though. Yeah. That's right. There's some lingering resentment there... ) SO. I'm never in the Falls, save for sometimes on Christmas or for a BBQ or whatever. I never, ever hang out there. But I did when I had to. And Krueger's was all bumper bowling back in the day, circa 1992. My brother had his birthday party there and he got the best ever water gun and I was so jealous and totally still am. And bumper bowling. Fast forward: High School (sucked). But... we went bowling sometimes, because, well, you know... what else are you going to do aside from smoke cigarettes and be eight kinds of disaffected? (Also: it is possible to bowl in a disaffected fashion, in case you were wondering.) Fast Forward: Xmas Eve 2007-ish, and the brosef and I are bored at the folks' house around 9pm. Come to find that Krueger's is open. Score! Bowling! That claw game! Crappy booze! Now... now we're talking. Simply put: Bowling, darts, pool, video games, booze, and fun. It truly is an "entertainment center," however, for me... it's a little more than that. It's a tangled mass comprised of a distant past that smells of cigarettes, bowling shoe disinfectant spray, and Bud Light Lime. read more

As far as bars go, this place really captures the true essence of Menomonee Falls... awkward encounters with people from your past... mixed crowds... cheap drinks... friendly bartenders.... juke box wars.... We hosted a work outing at Krueger's this week and we had a blast! David, the owner, was friendly and accommodating to our group of 20 and his staff was a pleasure to work with. Pizzas and apps were tasty and ready when we asked for them to be and they didn't flinch when we asked to move the set up around a little. They just jumped right to it. Many of our team had a great time in the arcade as well. I would say the only drawback was they seemed a little short-staffed, particularly at the bar, so drinks were a little slow coming but it wasn't a big deal. If you're not one of the locals, you won't like this place. Odd mix of a bar/restaurant, dingy bowling area and a clustered arcade. Bartenders are friendly, the 'locals' offer some good people watching and free popcorn. Other than that, it makes me feel like I'm in the middle of nowhere. read more

Very disappointed in our experience here. The staff was untrained We waited a long time to get checked in. They didn't have the size shoes were requested. They put us on a lane next to a six-year-old birthday party when there were other lanes open. The bartender didn't know how to make cherry coke or bloody Mary's. Our pizza was delivered without plates or napkins. Our lane went down, taking 15 minutes to get it reset. It took three people to figure out how to check us out. I have been there twice. Both times with my 3 children. We had horrible service both times. Long delays, incorrect orders and long periods of time without seeing a server. On. It's occasions, it felt like I was begging to even get somebody to close us out so I could get out of there. read more

The bowling is great! The young lady at the bowling counter was very nice, but the older gentleman at the bar area was so rude and dismissive we didn't even want to order anything else. We so went to order a pitcher of soda and felt so uncomfortable, that he came back and asked me to go order it for him. After we got the pitcher, the cups that he gave us smelled like bleach. I told the bartender and he acted irritated that I wouldn't drink out of them. He said they're all going to be that way. Finally I got them to just give us plastic cups. Horrible service, I waited five minutes at the front counter watching a male employee look at us with out greeting. Then finally a young lady mentioned it was league night and that in 45 mins top we would be able to bowl... That was understandable... We then sat at the bar ordered 3 alcoholic drinks. Krueger's is the ultimate entertainment spot, if you're into the bar scene. It was a great place to visit with my family while visiting, I'm glad they chose it. It's typically a mixed crowd with a very lively atmosphere and there are many forms of entertainment. The bar is the busiest part of the place. There are also bowling lanes, a game room, pool tables, darts, you name it. Basically a cool, casual place to hang out for a few hours. The food is more expensive for bar food, and although I didn't try anything, I was told that it was pretty tasty. There was also a back area that I didn't even explore because we were more confined to the bowling area but I'm sure it was just more entertainment. The only con is that when we left it smelled as if we just smoked a pack. So if smoke is not bothersome to you, Krueger's is a great place to have a drink or a game or two. We were also with small children which did not seem to be a problem at the family friendly although not so typical family place. read more

Not very handicap friendly, Brought my son who is in a wheelchair. They had a very narrow sidewalk to get into the building, to start off with. We got in and there was no easy access to get to the Bowling Alley to bowl, They did have removable ramps which they did get out but the first attempt he could not get to the bowling alley because the seating is to close together, the second attempt at a different spot we were able to get down there. We bowled 1 game, 4 people. Needless to say, my son did not need shoes. No food or Drink no Arcade, we just bowled 1 game. I went up to pay and it cost me $30!!! I about fell over!! I asked her to check that again and she said that it was correct. Never Again! What a waste of money and we had a hard time even going in to play. Not worth it. read more

Went here to bowl, and waited in line for 20 minutes. Last lane was given to the people in front of us. We put our name down for the next available lane and told the person we will be in the bar (that was almost empty). Waited 20 more minutes and realized the people behind us were bowling. We went to complain to the lady about skipping us and she said it wasn't her fault, she is only human. She also said she was looking for us but walked past us three times without calling our name. She just asked to change the tv channels for the other bowlers. We mentioned her poor ability to do her job to her manager but he didn't even really care. My family has never been in this place before, but we took a chance and planned a birthday party for our twins sight unseen. When we first arrived, it smelled a little funky, so I was a little nervous. We also arrived right when they opened and there were dirty tables and floors, but they cleaned that up right away when I asked. The party room was actually really nice so no complaints there. The cupcakes listed in the party offerings say they're Fun Fetti, but what they served was store-bought, all chocolate MINI cupcakes which was really disappointing. The cake is what everyone was waiting for and it was a big let down. Thankfully, my kids were okay with eating the chocolate, but some of their friends were not. We had the ice cream bowls included so I didn't complain but in hindsight, I should have. The main thing I was not happy about was the mandatory 18% gratuity that was not mentioned when we booked over the phone nor is it shown on the website. It was pointed out to me on a flyer at the time of payment. Other than decorating the room and bringing out the food, they didn't do anything else during the party. There wasn't a party planner/person who stayed with us to serve the food or keep the kids moving along so paying $55 for a tip given the minimal service seemed a bit much. As mentioned in the google review, came in for lunch as a long time customer only to feel like we were a burden. Food was ok but then come to find out the the glass of soda that they packed to the brim with ice was $3 and owner tried to charge another $3 on the refill despite the fact Nowhere On The Menu Did It State This. I told him you must be joking and I'm not paying for it - he turns into super asshole steaming about how he's losing money. I managed a restaurant at the time and knew exactly the cost per glass flipped him a quarter and said "I'm a long time and frequent customer of your bar, you'll never see me here again and when you accidentally gave me a $20 bill as change on my drink the other night and I returned it and you never even said thanks, you're a dick." Never write bad reviews but owner deserves a wakeup call, you reap what you sew. read more
