Today was the 2nd time something like this happened out there. I took my 03 pickup in yesterday and told Kevin I think the starter is going out. He called this morning and said they pulled it in, looked at it and found the nut holding the power cable on had backed off just enough to lose connection intermittently. They could have just stuck a new starter on and charged $300 or $400. They charged a half hour labor and handed the key back with a smile. It's stuff like that that keeps folks coming back. I wish they worked on boats too. I can't express to you how highly I recommend these guys.

I took my car to this place even though it wasn't close to me because the reviews were so great…read more My 2012 Nissan Altima was having transmission issues (losing power after driving on the highway at high speeds and slipping). They decided to rebuild my transmission for $4,000 and a 3 year warranty. The first warning sign that I should have taken my care somewhere else was that I was asked to text the place to remind him the day before my appointment. Then I had to follow up with the place every couple of days for updates while my transmission was being rebuilt because they never sent any updates and couldn't give me a day or estimated day it would be completed. They also don't accept credit card without charging a 4% fee. After the transmission was rebuilt, I needed to get my transmission flushed and he couldn't confirm that it could be done the same day I dropped it off because "the building could burn down or employees could call in sick." Throughout my 3-year warranty, I had to take the car back in 3 times for additional work on the transmission (which was slipping) and had to pay for towing each time or my warranty would have been voided. Who knows if my car was ever really fixed because I was too nervous to take it on long trips and before it was rebuilt by this company, I never had issues driving within the St. Louis area. Finally, I had them fix my rear brakes (recommended by them) at the same time they were fixing one of the many issues I was still having with the transmission and just weeks later a different company (one I have used and trusted for years) said my front brakes needed to be replaced. I am confused as to why they recommended the back and not the front when either both were bad or they "fixed" something that wasn't needed. All that being said, I find this company incredibly unreliable, unorganized, and not trustworthy. I would never recommend them to anyone.

They used to be my go-to for certain services but, over the last few years, the quality of service…read morehas gone very bad. I've had them rebuild 3 transmissions and replace 2 engines. Last engine completion was delayed due to the "mechanic" just pulling vacuum hoses without labeling. My son took a vehicle in for a flywheel replacement and the issue causing the need for replacement was not fixed and was mis-diagnosed. The latest "service" was for a safety inspection requiring a part to be replaced (as I had no time to do it myself) and a front end alignment as well. I was told that they were unable to align it correctly and afterwards it had very bad steering and pulling. I took the car to a different shop that I knew could do it and was told the the steering rack and pinion bolts were loose (MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE) and the alignment was very out of spec. I also found last night that the installation of the protective boot on the replaced part had not been completed so I had to do it myself. Third bad experience = 3rd strike and I will not be recommending this shop for any services. If I could give less than 1 star I would after all of these experiences.
