I asked the guys to just take a Quick Look and he got it closed for me SO QUICK!!! It looks like I need a new latch but they helped me out and were very friendly! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My daughter experienced a momentary issue where all the dashboard warning lights came on and the heater blower stopped; then suddenly returned to normal. Out of caution, I took the car to H&S where we'd gone for years to have them check it out. The manager said they checked the battery, alternator, starter...etc. and found NO problem. They didn't charge me anything, for which I was grateful. However, within minutes of driving time after picking the vehicle up, it caught fire resulting in $663.81 of damage to the engine compartment. The St. Charles Co Fire Dept asked if we'd recently had the car worked on and said whoever worked on it didn't secure the battery properly and the tiedown shorted against the battery post causing the fire which is documented in the official fire report. I contacted the manager at H&S who denied any responsibility by stating they didn't remove the battery and blamed it on the last person that replaced the battery. Then I contacted the new owner who also denied any responsibility. He said they had no cameras in the shop area so he can't confirm what they did or didn't do. When I told him I'd been coming to H&S for years and never had a problem until now, he feigned outrage for the perceived insult and abruptly hung up on me. This battery had been replaced by Sam's more than 16 months earlier (and several thousand miles driving later). It is absurd to think that a loose tie-down from more than 16 months earlier would just now show up within minutes of driving after H&S specifically checked the battery and electrical system out. Even if I give H&S the benefit of the doubt, they should have noticed the improperly secured tie-down bar during their troubleshooting/ diagnostics and secured it as a potential problem, but did not. I requested reimbursement for the damages from H&S but they continue to deny any responsibility.

Over the past several orders, my deliveries have either arrived incomplete, significantly delayed, or not delivered at all -- yet payments are processed immediately every single time. Even more concerning, refunds are either delayed or never properly addressed, leaving customers to chase answers for issues that should never happen repeatedly. Today was the final straw. I placed another order that was never delivered, and when I attempted to contact the store around 6 PM to get an update, no one answered the phone. The pattern here is impossible to ignore: poor communication, unreliable service, missing items, and a complete lack of customer support when problems occur. A membership service should provide convenience and reliability. Instead, this location has consistently created frustration, wasted time, and financial inconvenience. At this point, I will be canceling my membership because I can no longer justify paying for a service that repeatedly fails to meet even basic expectations. I will also be sharing my experience across multiple review platforms and Sam's Club pages so that current and future customers are fully aware of the ongoing service issues at this location. No customer should have to repeatedly deal with missing orders, unresolved refunds, and nonexistent customer service after their payment has already been taken.

The Ballwin, Missouri location at 15230 Manchester Road 63011 opened on approximately May 2025. It…read moreadvertised oil changes for my Chevy Equinox for $39.95 plus tax. I thought I would give it a try since Chevy dealerships were going to be about $100.00. The time I waited was about 1 1|2 hours which was acceptable. I paid about $52.00 with all the BS fees and tax. On the way home I received a call that their tech had left one of their tools in the car that checks errors codes. I called them back and they said they really need this expensive tool in order to do jobs they planned on doing that day. I dropped what I was doing and made the trip back to their store. The manager said they really appreciated me doing this to help them. As an appreciation he gave me a coupon for a free oil change in the future. Fast forward several months and I return to get an oil change. The new manager stated that Midas does not do things for free and the people that offered that are gone now. I don't make this negative review because I want free things. I only believe that businesses should honor their word. What good would their warranty be on work they do? Be very careful about doing business with Midas because they do not stand behind their promises!
