They have lots of stations and they are busiest during the week! The are located in downtown Roseville next to a bunch of food places. Ashley has her own private room in the back that is cutely decorated and feels like her own little salon where you can get away from the noise of the rest of the place! They have lots of products you can buy on your way out, but they definitely showcase Davines products! They even have a cute little pop up boutique in the middle of the salon from one of their stylist called Waylon+Willie Boutique in case you're in the mood to shop before or after your appointment. Madisen is the best! I have followed her around from her other studio because she always does my hair perfect. Literally copy's and pastes the inspo pictures I show her from my phone. I am so picky and needy when it comes to my hair and she always exceeds my expectations with the highlights, toner and trim. I also and very last minute with my appointments but she finds time to squeeze me in when she can. Maddie always gets me out in record time. I hate spending 5 hours at a hair appointment but she gets it done in 3. Madison is a miracle worker!!!! I needed a same day, Sunday appointment, and she came in on her day off! Did an amazing job on my hair, was fast, and I went from brown/blonde to a red/brown and copper! it's gorgeous! She's got a client for life! Highly recommend both this salon, and especially Madison! Run to The Garage, don't walk! Each of the stylists there stay up to date with techniques, styles, product, etc. The salon's esthetic is chic and current. There are no high pressure sales to purchase product, but they will help you if you ask. I've been a client of Sarah's for approximately 15 years, but I've also had services from others when I just HAD to get in. I can say that I trust every stylist at The Garage and enjoy every second I spend there. My only suggestion is to bring a photo of whatever it is you want if you're a new client. It's impossible for the client and the stylist to have the same vision based off of a verbal explanation. Again, run..... don't walk!!! read more

What a bummer this place turned out to be because there was ZERO follow through on getting back to clients. I called the salon several times and they would answer the after hours cell and tell me they'd call back but never did. I did get a text with a phone number of the specific stylist I wanted to see. I texted and called that stylist then verified with my friend who referred me to her that I indeed had the correct number (which I did) but still no reply to the text, and no call back. I was informed that she was still taking on clients so I know that wasn't the issue. I won't mention who she was because I don't want to blow that up on here, but overall the salon was a huge let down mostly because I never could get in. Clients shouldn't have to beg to get services or appointments. Oh well, I took my business elsewhere. read more

I went to The Garage for the first time with a Groupon for a cut and style with Aryn. Aryn is very friendly and professional as well as a great conversationalist. I live in Sacramento, but the drive to old town Roseville is worth it for a visit with Aryn. She shampooed and conditioned my hair with Bumble & Bumble products before trimming a couple inches off my ends and making huge improvements to my existing layers and face-framing fringe. She even offered to refer me to some online resources for quick and easy long-hair style ideas. I've been salon-hopping for the past couple years in search of the right combination of ambiance, quality and cost, and Aryn was able to right the wrongs of previous stylists. I left the salon with smooth, bouncy tresses and, in turn, a huge boost in self-confidence. I plan to go shorter as summer approaches and after only one visit with Aryn I wholeheartedly trust her with the transition. read more

The salon overall is good. The person who dyed my hair. Baylee Anderson is horrible. She did not give me what I wanted at all. I told her multiple times and showed her pictures. My blonde ashy hair turned into a Disgusting yellow after her "dying my hair blonde". She made me pay $320 for the hair. Which was not even worth it. After I told her, that my hair is not what I wanted and that it's not the ashy blonde I hoped for. She told me it's the "lighting in the room". I would not recommend her to anyone, because she clearly doesn't know what she is doing!! read more

Just got home from a highlight & cut from Aryn Taylor at The Garage and got right on Yelp to let you ALL know what a GREAT experience it was. First, I also purchased a Groupon ($69 for cut, color & style - which is 50% off)....killer deal, for sure! However, I am always a bit reluctant when it comes to hair stylists because you never know what you're going to get when going to someone new (they probably feel that way too, right?!). However, I have to say that Aryn was simply awesome! She asked a lot of questions, listened patiently, was open to suggestions and kept asking me for feedback. The end result was that she "got" exactly what I was saying and translated that into the perfect cut and color! I have very naturally curly hair....so this is NOT an easy thing for many stylists. They simply lack the skills and/or experience. In addition, I was thankful for Aryn's attention to detail, as well as her ability to communicate, both patiently and kindly. Um - wow is all I can say. Teshara is so gifted and I love her! I came to Teshara because I was looking to get eyelash extensions and I heard she was the best and she is. Eyelash extensions are an amazing fun thing to do, especially if you're getting married. She made my eyes go from normal to amazing wide-eye doe eyes. I loved it. Since she did such a great job on my eyelashes I hired her to do my pre-wedding spray tan, my make-up, my mom, my aunt and my mother-in-law. Each one of us ended up with flawless make-up. The pictures are so pretty and I'm so happy with they way they turned out in large part due to everyone's make up. Additionally, she recommend Krystel from the Garage to do my hair and my bridesmaids and all of our hair was equally as wonderful. Between the two of these ladies I felt so pampered and beautiful. And, all the bridesmaids were so happy with their hair. As a great side note, these two ladies are lovely people. On the day of your wedding you'll be spending several hours with the folks doing your hair and make-up and it is so nice when you like people. I wish I lived closer to Roseville and then I would continue to go and see both of these ladies for my ongoing services. I am beyond blessed to have found Sarah Sherman at The Garage. My hair was in need of overhaul and she made it healthy in one visit! The color line is phenomenal and actually makes your hair shine the entire time 5-6 weeks and no fading. Her haircuts are amazing and she is a very good at listening to your likes and dislikes. I've been going to The Garage for the past almost three months and have seen Tommy each time. Coming away from a hairdresser that had been friends with my parents prior to my first visit here, going to a new stylist can always be a little unnerving, but having known Tommy prior to my first appointment, I trusted his judgement and wanted to give it a shot. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The customer service has always been awesome. Everybody there is always been very welcoming, friendly and professional and Tommy has done an awesome job with my hair every single time. I think consistency is something everyone looks for when looking for a knew hairdresser and I have definitely found that coming here. I won't go to anyone else and even just recently bought my Bumble hair products here. It's a little ways away from my house but its well worth the drive and I always look forward to my appointment. Everyone has seemed very personable and accommodating, and I'm sure I've bugged Tommy on more than one occasion with questions about my hair or products which he's always been happy to answer and always knowledgeable. 1 star is being 'nice'... this star goes out to the atmosphere and location only. If for any reason you are not happy with your hair, too bad. The management will tell you that the stylists are 'their own boss' and they will do NOTHING to compensate you or make the situation right. For some reason its backwards to them.. in their opinion, the customer is never right. Oh yes and 'the management' lady told us word for word, "I don't have time to deal with your unhappiness of the outcome on your hair, I run a business.. unlike you" So.. then you shouldn't be a manager if you don't have time to deal with these types of situations that come up in a business! I got married 6/23/2012 and Ashley Cox came out to my wedding venue and did my hair and a couple of my bridesmaids. She did a GREAT job! Everyone looked beautiful! She also has a sweet personality! I started coming here when I bought a groupon. But the stylist was booked for 4 months out so she referred me to an associate stylist. Jamie is by far the best hair dresser I have ever encountered in my 10+ years of highlighting. I have medium brown hair and I love the honey, platinum highlights. Previous hair dressers have produced brassy results, But Jamie never disappoints. I now live in LA and refuse to have anyone else color my hair. Best salon ever! My sister and I see Amber she is great at coloring and cuts. The place is EXTREMELY clean. It is on the stop level of a building and it feels a little bit more private, and relaxing. There are about 10-12 chairs (?) and the shampoo chairs are very comfortable. It is a Bumble & Bumble salon, the products worked great on me and I'm had some hair loss but it gave me volume. Have been working with Debbie for three years now since a neighbor recommended her. Debbie is professional, friendly and I always leave absolutely delighted with my color, cut and style. The atmosphere @ The Garage is open and large with stylists lining both walls. The music depends in whoever set the musac that morning. It can get a bit noisy especially when they are busy so I would recommend asking the receptionist for a quiet time if noise bothers you. The products are B&B which I personally love. read more

They also don't call to remind you of your appointment that you scheduled three months in advance. Will not be visiting again. Way better service at Hoshall's.
