The Game Hub has the best selection of board games and large tables for you to play with friends if you want. If you are a D&D fan, go there. They also have cards and any game you might be looking for. Parking is in the front of the store, mind the signs. You will find a spot. The staff is just great. I think I met the owner, but not sure, whoever was working the counter was so knowledgeable and super sweet.

Great products and awesome prices. Made a seamlessly good time for me and my kiddo. Thanks Game hub!

This place has been here since I was 5 years old, and it hasn't changed a bit the feeling of joy participating in being a customer here. Thanks for the great service!

Great selection of games I've never seen before!

I've been to this store a handful of times and really enjoy visiting! (The owner?) John is so friendly and knowledgeable and always gives us great suggestions. My husband and I love board games but are fairly new the game world, and we always find something we love here! Price wise, they usually have a selection of items on sale (up to 40% off) as well as used demo versions, so you can get some great deals! Even the games that aren't on sale are priced reasonably, so we'll absolutely continue shopping here to support a local business and for the excellent customer service!

The Game Hub is an extension of The Comic Bug run by the South Bay's most fan friendly small business owners who support both the hobby and the community. The grand opening was on March 5th, 2016 Saturday and this business focuses on fantasy gaming, so if you're a fan of Magic The Gathering, Yu Gi Oh, Pokemon, World of Warcraft, Heroclix, Dungeons & Dragons, and other interactive games, this could be one of the best places for you, as they're not just a retailer, but organize tournaments and regular gaming sessions for like minded fans of similar interests to converge, meet and play.

LA Comic Art Show - June 5, 2022

    LA Comic Art Show

On Sunday, November 4, 2018 the inaugural LA (Los Angeles) Comic Art Show was held at The Hilton…read moreGarden Inn in Redondo Beach, CA, the South Bay of LA, in the coastal Beach Cities area. This was a relatively small show held in a small hotel conference room because it was really niche and specialized with a focus on high-end original comic book artwork. No comic books, no costumed cosplayers, no B-List celebrity autographs. It is a pure published art show, where most of the dealers brought at least $1 million in priced original artwork merchandise for sale (or trade). Attending as exhibitors (according to their website) were: Will's Comic Art Page (Will Gabri-El) Genesis West (Mike Thibodeaux) Koch Comicart (Pete Koch) Cool Lines Art (Rich Donnelly) Josh Gray Leo Chua Nostalgic Investments (Bechara Maalouf) Odyssey Comic Art (Saul Zimmerman) Panel Page Art (Glen Brunswick) Art Restorations Specialist (James Pascoe) Jack Kirby Museum and Research Center (Tom Kraft) Most of the dealers were highly reputable sellers who have a public online presence selling through their own websites and recognized as expert authorities with decades of experience in the comic art hobby. This is a fast growing sector within the art world and comic book hobby. I'd estimate most artwork for sale ranged from as little as $25 and as high as pieces priced over $100,000, with most pieces in the $3,000-10,000 range for highly recognized super-hero characters rendered by top named masterpiece artists. Most of the artwork was from the Silver Age to Bronze Age era's of comics in the 1960's through the 1980's as the sweet spot most collectors clamor towards. There wasn't much modern (recent) artwork present. On the positive side, it was almost all published artwork and not riddled by mediocre unpublished commissions and no-name amateur artwork nor mass produced (and often unlicensed) prints you'd find at many if not most comic conventions. This convention was for the more higher end and prestigious collector and investor more so than casual fans. Admission was $20. It's a fair price given the overhead costs to run a show. To the savvy collector, that $20 is easy to pay to gain access to one-of-a-kind rare original artwork, where you're negotiating deals in the thousands of dollars. Even if you can't afford to spend hundred, thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands, it's almost like visiting an Art Museum to see historical original artwork in-person at this show. For an inaugural convention, the debut of the LA Comic Art Show has promise and potential to grow into a great convention without getting too big or losing focus. I'm looking forward to seeing how the show evolves in 2019. Parking was super easy and FREE in the hotel parking lot. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the 405 South/North Freeway as well as the MTA Metro public transit (the station is just across the street), also near LAX Los Angeles Airport.
