This is my first comic book store I've been to and I'm so glad it was because the team there is so incredible and beginner friendly. As a person who's just getting into the world of comic books I went for their Black Friday special where all their back covers were priced at a $1! This was such a phenomenal opportunity to dip my toes at a low cost. Now I'm hooked and I've gone back at least two more times. As a queer man I was a little self conscious about entering (some would say) a gate kept heteronormative environment but I was proven very wrong by the very friendly owner and staff. If you ever get to meet Steve he's the nicest man ever. Don't be shy to ask questions, I definitely was and I was met with no ill will.

This is the owner. He is very friendly and personable!!

I had some comic books from the 1990s and was tired of them collecting dust. I called Comic Cult, and the owner answered. I had called other stores some years back, and the persons who answered were not people with pleasant attitudes. This owner was very pleasant. So I drove over to drop off the comics. We went inside the store, and it was spectacular!! VERY CLEAN, QUITE PROFESSIONAL!! Seemed like an endless supply to look through, like a huge buffet!! We ended up talking for quite awhile. If you are looking for it, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED BY THE OUTSIDE OF THE mini-MALL. The inside of the store makes it totally worthwhile!!

A friend of my son said there was a sale on Batman stuff so we came in to check it out. I used to frequent this store when I was a kid back in the 90s. Theres new management but the actual store feels just like it did back then. I love the decor and the layout of the store. Everything was very easy to find, the cashier was very helpful with his suggestions on what my son should start reading, and I also couldnt control myself from picking up a trade paperback for myself. I believe they also send in comics to be graded and put inside a slab for protection. The comic bins had a good selection and if you can't find a missing issue, you can ask them to source/order one for you too. There aren't many comic book stores left due to everything going digital. Please!! Lets support the local comic book store. Nothing beats reading a physical comic book. We walked out with $200 worth if comics today and smiles on our faces. My son's first visit to a comic book store is memorable not only for me, but for him. We'll be back for sure

Dope comic shop with even doper comic pressers. You have to check them out. They come through there every six weeks to take in new books and drop of the pressed ones.

The new owners here are dope as hell. I used to come here as a kid and was put off by the atmosphere but I really enjoy the new owners Tony and Steve. Tony talked to me in depth about comic books and dude knows his stuff. I've been held back from getting into comics because of how much there is. It's just too overwhelming. Tony helped me pick out some good self contained stories and gave me a good starting point. He's a cool dude too, not what you'd think of a stereotypical comic book nerd. He definitely made me feel comfortable with the hobby and I'm excited to check out these new pick ups! These are some hardworking guys and it's worth it to support small businesses. If you haven't been here before and wanna check it out, come through it's much nicer now lol. If you've been here before and were off put by the environment , give it another shot cause I'm glad I did.

I recommend this place to all my superhero-loving comic book readers. Met at the door by Darrel and his associate and they seemed like some cool dudes. He offered more than just business. We talked about the Marvel Universe and the direction that it was going for like 30 minutes, which I definitely was not expecting but was the highlight of my day. We chatted about how Carnage is appearing everywhere and the influence that he portends. We even talked about the upcoming comic con, which we are both excited about (26 days and counting). I came to the store out of nostalgia and I want to get a gift for a friend because the new Spiderman movie is about to come out. They were able to direct me to their library of comics available and he help me select the perfect gift. He may not know always where things are but he knows how to find them which is pretty organized system. I ended up getting a pretty cool Miles Morales Spiderman comic in very good condition, which turned out to be fairly cheap and affordable. Selection: A+ Store: A Service: A++

This has to be the very first comic book store I've been to and I still love it to this day.

I walked into a store that carries merchandise that simply does not surface at most American retailers, and that distinction was the main reason I made the trip. The selection covers a wide range. I saw rows of pins, acrylic stands, stickers, keychains, figurines, manga, and stationery filling the floor, and the depth in certain titles went well beyond what I have found at convention vendor tables or general pop culture stores. The Project Sekai section was one of the more notable dedicated areas and is genuinely rare to encounter outside of Japan. VTuber merchandise and more niche title selections appeared here in a way that reflects the store's connection to the Japanese market rather than just catering to the most mainstream Western anime fanbase. There is also a gashapon section where you can exchange cash for tokens and try your luck at the machines, which tends to draw its own crowd. Prices run higher than what I would pay in Japan directly, which is expected given the import overhead, but for collectors who cannot make the trip the markup is the cost of access. The store is worth visiting for any serious fan of the medium, and even a casual browse tends to surface something unexpected.

He says he's wheelchair accessible he'll send me pics also of his store (never does). Also says he's a Cgc grader and deals with mostly higher end custom stuff so send him a picture of an issue I think that might have value... Next day nothing, I text him my address and wait for a response nothing again so I called him cause I got a missed call from the same area code from NY. They have a $2 dollar Japanese used manga section on the right side of the store and if you're learning Japanese, this is a great motivator. I've been to Japan a few times and if you want to feel like you've stepped into a portal to Japan for a brief second, this is the place to visit, they occasionally speak in Japanese over the intercom which is a nice touch. They also have Japanese literature, magazines, games, movies, etc. This place is incredible and it's super organized. Many cool finds I've come across here including an oversized GANTZ special edition set print for a very good price. One of the girls who works here even mentioned that they can specifically order books for you and you can buy them and pick them up there for a pretty decent rate. I've only had one bad experience with one guy worker here who got mad I was looking in the storage drawers located in every aisle, but almost everyone here is very kind. I've never had any other Bookoff discourage looking through the extra storage, it was very unusual, there's also no sign that says not to do so. You will occasionally even find books straight from Kinokuniya that are brand new sealed that have been discounted here. This is THE Bookoff to go to, I would say the other Bookoffs in comparison aren't even worth visiting. If you're in the area, this is a must visit for fans of this kind of merch.

Consequently, I wasn't expecting much when I visited the Gardena location but I was pleasantly surprised! I even found a rarely ever seen or heard of Tezuka Osamu comic too. I have read just about everything he ever published but never seen or heard of this particular anthology collection. I was so thrilled!!!! Additionally, the staff here is very friendly and helpful. They share the same kind of enthusiasm and sense of humor about books as I do, which made me feel instantly happy. And the 2 bucks manga deals?! Unbeatable! I'm looking forward to visit again just to see what I might discover next time!
