This review is only for the new lazy river. BEWARE use at your own risk. It's July 3rd at 6pm. The lifeguards covering this attraction do not use proper scanning techniques. They stand in one spot with their feet planted, staring into space in one direction, never paying attention to the people in the inner tubes that just passed them. The supervisor on duty was spot on, doing everything right. She should video tape these clowns lip synching and dancing to the music and maybe use it as a training video when they hire these unqualified lifeguards to watch over your kids. The lifeguards at the main pool know what they're doing too. Walking back and forth, scanning top to bottom. I came here last year as a camp and it wasn't the best trip because of the terrible service. However this year it started out very good once we walked in with the nice people that gave us the wrist bands. I also signed up for laser tag and the girl at the front was very nice to help me out. Moving forward one of the lifeguards told one of the my coworkers they couldn't use a tube and than they waited in a line to find out the next lifeguard said they needed a tube. Finally we were suppose to get Pizzia at 12:00 and we didn't get our Pizzia until 12:52. We have 5 year old children who are crying that the food isn't there, and other camps are getting food when they have been waiting shorter than us. Also 3 groups all missed their laser tag times and we didn't get to go the arcade which we PAID for. Most awful service ever NEVER GO HERE. Went here as a cousin hangout, and I was disappointed. The staff was quite rude and unfriendly. While waiting for bowling the woman at the counter looked at us and ignored us and continued to talk to her other staff members. Also, at the go karting, we were constantly being stopped and yelled at for messing up. It is a great place to bring the kids to play indoors and out. The inside of Fun Plex is very spacious and filled with many activities for the kids. They have go karts, lazer tag, and many arcade games to play. They have a system where you can accumulate tickets to redeem prizes. The problem is that the prizes are worth a lot, but the whole point is to keep on playing. They have rides inside and they are very fun to ride. It is so cool how they have an interactive game called Magic Quest. Very fun for the kids. The outdoor is a water park with slides and lazy river. I haven't been but looks so enticing. The kids had fun. I wish there were some games included with the wrist band. We went at 2pm on a Saturday but by 5pm the lines were getting ridiculous. I have a feeling that the Sunday am deal would be the best bet if you are going to go there. An all inclusive wristband is only 20 if you get there between 10 and 12. Great place to take the kids of all ages, it has laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games etc. Best time to go when is less crowded is after 8pm, lines are not too long then. They also sale fast food like pizza, fries, burger, if you get hungry or thirsty from having so much fun you don't have to go out, everything is there. My kids (elementary aged) really enjoyed this place. They loved the rides and attractions-such as the go carts, laser tag and 4D theatre. They were also entertained by Magiquest. It was clean and not too filled both times we visited. The customer service was good and the games-although a bit pricey-was good. If you go after 3 on weekdays, you can get the whole package for a little bit less. We didnt use the splashpool area, so I don't know anything about that- but my kids would love to come back again. read more

Funplex as a whole was a great place to go up until a few months ago. When newer management came in both Funplex and Splashplex took a dive downhill. The managerial staff is extremely rude and inconsiderate to their employees, the employees seem to be extremely overworked, and there seems to be little to none organization within the establishment. Your money is better spent elsewhere for a good time because all experiences at Funplex are no where close to fun. read more

Fun stuff, but poorly managed. The staff is typically very young, inexperienced, and overwhelmed by the sheer number of visitors. We waited on line for the go-kart ride, and there were multiple people saving spots in line for their friends, allowing people to cut-in-line at the last minute. There was no staff watching the line whatsoever. If you have a problem with a machine--good luck--there was no staff walking around to help. I did not try the waterpark, but if it is run the same way, I'd worry about the cleanliness and safety. read more

I am speaking as someone who went to The Funplex as a job trainee and customer. I would honestly recommend this indoor family entertainment facility to not just parents for their kids, but also for teenagers. If you want to go ride some go-karts, play laser tag, go on rides that you can't go outdoors, definitely come to this place. I would recommend going on Freefall for older kids/teens because it will have your heard pounding out of your chest. The bumper cars honestly suck, they feel as if they drive themselves. If you really want some fun, go-karts is the to go. There is a reasonable sized arcade for the size of the facility which, at times are a better option when there are just way too much kids. The bad thing is that the place gets overcrowded fast and this ruins your experience, I am surprised that no child has been abducted. The experience that you will have here will forever be remembered and cherished, it just comes down to yourself being optimistic and wanting to have fun. The food is not to die for but is up to par for a decent price. Throw kids parties here, I will be going here really soon again. Wow! I have to say that the management of this facility is amazing! Yes, there are tons of fun things to do there with kids (rides, foam frenzy, go-karts, arcade games, etc.), but when something goes wrong you can see how good a place really is. Yesterday, I was there with 4 kids (not all mine) and one of them was having so much fun that he failed to use the restroom when he needed to and had an accident. I was trying to figure out what to do and I really didn't want to pull all 4 kids out to go shopping for some clothing. Kevin, a manager, gave me a pair of sweatpants (at no cost to me) for the child and then washed his clothes! Could you ask for anything better? About an hour later, I got hit on the head with a water bottle because a few boys were horsing around (unsupervised) on the 3rd level of foam frenzy and were throwing the bottle at each other and...whoops, it went over the wall. The attendant immediately pulled the boys out of the area and there was Kevin again! He assured me they had been returned to their chaperone and had a "time out" for their actions. He asked if I needed ice or anything else. I really appreciated how quickly the matter was addressed, and how everything was handled. I also noticed that trash on the floor was picked up quickly, soap dispensers were filled up when needed, and the bathrooms were clean. The staff was really on the ball. We all had a great time and we cannot wait to go back! read more

boy, this place is your kids fantasy. the first time i went here, took the whole family. we arrived at 10am and stayed to closing. they were turning the lights off on us. awesome place for kids(obviously), but there are a few things for the adults, go-karts, lazer tag, tons of arcade games. don't bother with the cash prize stuff, there are fodder. my advice is to go on an off day, like monday or thursday, not too many kids bumping into you and you can everything( not that you couldn't with them there) at least 20 times. be warned! it is mundane after after the third time. read more

My daughter wanted her 9th birthday at Funplex, I called and booked the party at $27.00 per child. Little expensive if you ask me but it's what my daughter wanted. The whole experience was chaotic. When I called and booked the party I was told that we would be put in a room for our party. I was also told that the children would eat the pizza and have cake followed up the games and arcade. Unfortunately none of what was explained to me is what actually transpired. We arrived and we were told that we had a table in the big boisterous party room, not the private room that was explained to me. The children checked in with the party host who seemed very lost. He spent most of his time running to his coworkers and asking questions and talking to them instead of entertaining the children. We were told we had to go downstairs and go on rides first - I'm not sure why this was done. I've attended parties at funplex before and not once did the party go on the rides and THEN eat the pizza and the cake. We get to the bumper cars and the party host walks away. The bumper car attendants separated my party of only ten children to let a group of other adults go on the rides. We go back up to the party room and we wait a good 20 minutes for the pizza. At this point I'm so upset and aggravated by the toll of the events. Our party host was the worst I've ever seen. I'm not sure if he was new or just untrained but please stop letting your untrained and unmotivated employees be party hosts. These are childrens birthdays that you are effecting. It would be a different store if we were just visiting Funplex for the day but that wasn't the case. I spent a lot of money for my daughter to say "mom I didn't have fun" at the end of the day. I would also like to mention i requested a supervisor twice, and the party host ignored my requests. When I was asked to pay I mentioned the issues I had with the manager taking my payment and she seemed very unbothered by the situation. We wont be coming back for parties or daytrips. read more

This was my first time at Funplex. I went with my best friend and her cousins. The drive there wasn't too bad and we found parking once we got there. The wait was not so bad once they opened up 2 more registers. At first, the place seemed very overwhelming with kids running all over the place but I adapted to the noise. We did not purchase the band because we were only going on each ride once but if you plan on going more than once then you SHOULD definitely get the wrist band.We did all of the attractions except for Magic Quest. The Super twister malfunctioned and the manager had to reset it because the seats covers wouldn't unlatch. Then for the laser tag, something also malfunctioned so the kids had to redo it. The wait was kind of annoying but bearable. I found the dark ride to be interesting but the female, attendant, Ashley P. was very rude. She had allowed kids to cut the line and didn't have any regards for those standing in line. I did tell the manager and he said he would speak to her. The last attraction we did was the go-kart and the line was VERY LONG...the ride is but only 5-7 minutes and that is only if the kids are not bumping into each other, then the attendants would cut their segment short. One of the most helpful attendants was Nigel and he made the go-karts fun for the kids. We also did the games and some of them also malfunctioned and took our tokens!!! I guess they definitely need to do some maintenance on some of their machines.I would recommend this place for teenagers and kids. For the amount paid, I am not sure if it was totally worth it for the rides. Each attraction ride was short but the line was long. I don't know about coming back on a Saturday, it was beyond packed. It was overall an okay experience, only worth 2 stars for me. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this place. How about the fact that you cannot find the entrance or ANY sort of parking. Horrendous parking lot situation. I had to park all the way on the wrong side of the building and then walk my children as cars came zooming through the lot with NO regard to the vast amount of children walking around. So dangerous. Secondly, it is way too overpriced for the filthy communal bath water that they call the "splashplex". It is open to a bad public crowd and my kids were terrified to leave my side as older children ran around and nearly pushed my kid into the water. I witnessed a mother hold a water bottle for her son (who was maybe 2 or 3 years old) to urinate into on line for the go karts. Just celebrated my son's 5th Birthday at funplex and were completely disappointing by just about every aspect of the party. Let me start with good experiences first: - Laser tag was fun, kids really enjoyed it - Foam blaster tower was cool, kids also loved it - Bumper cars were also great success with both kids and adults - Food was pretty good Now the bad parts: Host, Kawai or something was absent at all times. We ran out of forks and had to run around entire funplex asking if they could find forks because our guests were eating chicken marsala with spoons. I think he was running between 2 parties, therefore couldn't accommodate us at all. He wasn't interacting with kids or adults, going to activities we made a line, coming back every one was getting lost, no planning or organizing. Food was scattered throughout the entire room, pizzas were on the first table and fruit salad and more pizza were at the last table, hot food was in the middle of the room. When adults grabbed a seat at the last table, you could no longer see that there is food there, so some guests left hungry thinking that we ran out of food. And host, again, was nowhere to be found to help the guest and/or point out that more food was at the last table. How disorganized!!!! Birthday boy didn't have special seat, like throne that some other places offer that make kids feel special on their birthday. Cake was brought out on a dirty black cart, host cut the cake and ran away, i had to walk around and distribute cake to everyone. When i went to pay for the balance, i addressed and expressed my frustration to which they responded they can give us another pass to come back another day or extra credit for the kid, but thank you i don't want to come back there again or stay any longer in that place. Overall, ruined birthday party for small boy, try to stay away from this disorganized/dirty mess or check your host before hand, because i think host is a success of the party, ours definitely wasn't. read more

We went on a weekday in the summer and it's much less crowded then on a weekend. We had gone in the past on a weekend and it was always chaos. This time it was fun. Just us and quite a few well behaved camps. I recommend the Go Carts but the line gets super long. So we did this first and no wait. Magiquest is a little dull. Everything else is pretty fun. The thing we have always noticed is that there isn't a day's worth of things to do. I'm sure not many people plan to stay all day, but if more stuff is added people would not only stay longer but more people will go. It also is very loud, so be prepared for that even if you go on a weekday like we did. Didn't try the food. read more

The only problem is that the lines are ridiculous and for 3 people we spent about $120 for 3 bracelets that no longer includes one of the most exciting rides there, the 4-D ride. Its such a shame. Great place to take kids!! For 30 bucks you can do the unlimited package. You can do laser tag, go karts, the simulated 3d ride and some other things as many times as u want instead of paying $6 per ride per time. My bf and I went alone and still had an awesome time, maybe because we're kids at heart. If I could give this place NO stars I would. I don't usually review places but the customer service here is so bad that I felt that I had to. Brought 5 kids. Paid $170 for unlimited rides for all 5. Was told that the youngest could go on any ride (he is 51 inches) as long as he was with the oldest of the group (14 years old). Come to find out that is a LIE. When I complained, I was told that we could be refunded our unlimited tickets and charged per ride (Funplex would make even more money that way) even though they admitted giving us wrong information and now I had a crying child who was told he could go on anything. No apology. Nothing. And on top of it, I had to pay even more outrageous prices for bad food and small drinks. Don't waste your time or your money. Will never return. If I want to be given wrong information and treated like an unvalued customer, I'll spend the day at the DMV. read more
