The rice meals are from $13 but the serving size is quite plentiful. I always get the crispy dinuguan (and sometimes they have puto to match). My companions have tried other dishes such as the liempo BBQ, sisig, kare-kare, pinakbet, etc and no one has really faulted any of the other food they serve. They used to be called Gold Ribbon which is a portmanteau of the names of the two most famous cake shops in the Philippines (Goldilocks and Red Ribbon). They are quite popular with their cakes and baked goods such as ensaymada, puto, and other Filipino "kakain" (desserts - kutsinta, palitaw). I especially love the ube cake because I will eat anything that's made of ube (even more so if it tastes really good - and their cake tastes amazing!). Their puto (rice cake) is also one of the best I've ever had and definitely a cut above all the other tasteless generic ones sold at the Filo shops around Sydney. They are now called Angelee's Kitchen and I'm not quite sure if the name change is because of a change of owner or if they just wanted a change for the sake of it. Decanso means "relax" in Spanish and Tagalog, and the quaint little cafe perfectly reflects that. The atmosphere was casual and the food homey, like eating at a friend's house. Food was delicious. The lumpia had a strong vegetal taste, clearly home made. The tapsilog with garlic rice hit the spot, and the spicy lechon was a hearty way to start the day.

This place was recommended by an Aussie friend. She said if i eat anywhere in AU, to make sure it's at Mr. Crackles. We ordered the ever so delicious "Sweet Pork" -Master stock braised pork belly served with a cabbage salad, mayo in a soft bun, I'm still dreaming about that sandwich. We also ordered the "Sticky BBQ Pork" BBQ pork, Smokey BBQ sauce, Ranch salad and onion rings in a soft bun. Can't wait to go back and try some other delicious sandwiches, they also have some fries, nacho fries, bbq fries, onion rings and other tasty little bites. It's cracklin' and I'm drooling over my next visit.
