The standouts for me were the King Salmon Kinilaw, a lovely ceviche dish, and Chicharon na Manok, like a Mexican chicharon, but from chicken skin; easily something which could become a favourite for you. It reminded me of the original Oporto's in North Bondi when they were independent in the pre-franchising days, but much better. They have a lot of fresh salads as well as these amazing tenderloins. It's a bit of a drive from my house but I will find a reason to make it out there again.

Me gusta. Came here…read moreafter the Fried Chicken thread and my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Ordered the fried chicken family pack (8 pieces of fried chicken, medium chips, choice of veggies or sides, and a 1.25L) not for a family but TWO people...for $31 Fatasses unite! The medium sized chips were definitely not medium...they encompassed a whole takeaway box. I was meant to order a salad (to be healthier of course,) but I misread the combo as veggies + salad, not one or the other. Ended up getting potatoes+ham, mushrooms, and a cheesy cauliflower. The chicken was really good, definitely similar to KFC but better. My only wish is that they have a spicy version. Pretty awesome joint for a cheap and unhealthily awesome feed.

Beverly Hills Seafood is the best fish 'n' chip shop along King George's Rd in Beverly Hills (in…read morefact, it might even be the only fish 'n' chip shop). The fast friendly service is a welcome change to many sour faced owners you come across. The old man who cooks the food is always lovely, and very fair with prices. I usually go in for lunch on the weekends. They have a great range of specials, and lunch packs, which is what I usually go for. The food is standard, but when you're ordering deep fried food, how mind-blowing can it be? But it is what it is. A fish 'n' chip shop of old, serving up oily marine delights and artery clogging carbohydrates wrapped in paper. Eating here always reminds me of playing pass the parcel as a kid, only with hot chips! Conveniently located 100 metres from Beverly Hills Railway Station, Beverly Hills Seafood offer fast, friendly service and tasty fried meals. Try it out for yourself.

Thai Tonight is definitely the best thai around the area…read more Been a regular over many many years, but never got around to writing a review. I've never had to queue up at Thai Tonight because I feel like most of their customers are take away. So that's a plus for me! A quiet restaurant for me :) For me, everything we ordered was spot on. We always get the Pad Thai and Money Bags. Thats a must! The Green duck curry is also very well done and a regular order. So is the satay chicken.... Basically, I order similar items every time with one new addition. I tried the prawn blankets for the first time and it was very crunchy and not drenched in oil yay. If i were to compare this place to Chat Thai and Home Thai, I reckon it'd be up there! It's really just a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered :)

But it definitely got a lot more crowded after 7pm and the music was pretty loud. The vibe overall was amazing though! The food was definitely the highlight of the visit! We ordered the pork belly drunken noodle and BBQ King Salmon wrapped in banana leaf. I love the mixture of flavors and how good it was! We also ordered the crispy salt and pepper bug tails from the large plate and it was really tasty! I love the balance of the flavors in all the food! I didn't order the drinks, but my friends did and they said it was really good too! It was more on the sweeter side, but overall, was still really good! This place is definitely worth the hype!
