The moment you step in, you feel like in a high end restaurant in Bangkok. It is beautifully decorated with flowers everywhere, beautiful Thai furniture and the service is very caring. In my opinion they quite simply serve the best thai food in Sydney. There is plenty of choice and I've never been disappointed by a dish. I ordered their braised beef in five-spice broth with thin noodles and their beef is still flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. BUT, the five-spice broth was way too sweet (this time around) and the meatballs had a very strange taste to them...almost like they'd gone bad or something. I also ordered their Khao Grapao Gai (stir fry minced chicken) which was supposed to have holy Basil and I was disappointed. It was overly spicy but lacking flavor and their was little to no basil in it. There was not much meat and heavy on the rice. It just was not as good as it used to be even though their prices are a bit higher than your average mom & pop Thai place. Suffice it to say, I will likely not be returning especially when Thai town is but a few blocks away and there are tastier options at a more affordable price point.
