My Experience at Voodoo Sno Today…read more I want to share something that happened to me today at Voodoo Sno. I understand this may have been an isolated experience, but it deeply hurt me, and I feel the need to speak on it. I've been absolutely obsessed with Voodoo Sno for years. As someone with autism, it's a hyperfixation for me during the warm months--I look forward to it every year. Today was supposed to be my first time getting Voodoo Sno this season, and I was so excited. But instead of enjoying my favorite treat, I left feeling hurt, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. When I arrived, my phone was dead, so I sat in my car for a few minutes to let it charge before going in to order. Within minutes, two employees came outside and started watching me. They tried to be subtle, but I noticed. After a few more minutes of them eyeing me, one of them finally came up and asked what I was doing there. What other reason could I have been visibly watched for? I wasn't causing any trouble. I wasn't blocking anything. I was just sitting in my car, waiting. And yet, I was questioned about why I was in the lot--as if I didn't belong there. He tried to play it off like he was just checking to see if he needed to make a snow cone, but if that were true, why was I being watched so closely before he even came over? Why did he keep looking over at me every chance he got? The whole situation made me feel like I was being treated with suspicion for simply existing in that space. This was the first bad experience I've ever had with them, and I can't put into words how disappointing it is--especially considering how much I love their snow cones and how much I've supported them. But after today, I won't be going back. I'm hurt. I'm sad. My day feels ruined when it was supposed to be a happy moment for me. I just wanted to share my experience.

We were not disappointed! We have tried nitro ice cream a few times in STL, but at a much higher price than here. For $3.50 you can get a regular sized ice cream (with 1 mix-in) and for $4.50 you can get a large. The premium flavors have a slight upcharge, but it's still very reasonable compared to what you'll pay at Ices Plain & Fancy or somewhere similar. The two working behind the counter the night we came here were nice and seemed like really hard workers, they might have been the owners. The nitro ice cream does take a while to prepare, but that is the nature of the beast. If you have never tried nitro ice cream, I would highly recommend stopping by here and giving it a try! Amanda

The menu allowed add-ons such as ice cream and marshmallow crème, to name a few! And the seated area to enjoy your cool treat offered plenty of seats for enjoyment. Plenty of space to sit, as well as, play outdoor games like an enlarged Connect Four! This is such lovely place - we'll definitely visit again soon!
