This established local spot is known for its classic Mexican dishes, cocktails, and its patio. On my visit, I had a slightly awkward experience when the server came to the table and asked if everything was okay. This was before I ordered my meal, and when I responded, they just took off and continued working. After waiting for a few minutes, I walked over to another server and ordered one of their signature dishes. This server was very helpful and recommended their ' Especial De La Cocina' Made with grilled chicken, steak and shrimp grilled with bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, on a bed of rice and topped with cheese dip. I ordered this dish with the cheese dip on the side. The dish, although simplistic, was very tasty, filling and hit the spot. Having the cheese dip on the side worked as I could dip as I pleased. Aside from the awkward moment wth my original server, the other server made up for it by recommending a dish that I really enjoyed.

Walked in at 5:20, one table is reserved, two 4-tops have chairs stacked on them and the rest are full. Girl (name starts with J/has nose ring) comes out from behind the bar to let us know they have a 10-15 minute wait and offers to "take my name and number." I said no need for a number, we will wait inside in the corner. I'm told that's not an option and that we must leave. Standing in the corner where three unused tables is not permitted? Inviting us to wait at the bar and sell us three drinks (an easy additional $30+) isn't offered? Seems like a pretty bad way to run a business.

I mistakenly thought that I would be going to a Mexican restaurant but, to the contrary, Julio's is a fine dining ($$$) Italian restaurant. The buffet lunch was made-from-scratch and excellent. It featured perfectly fried thick-and-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches; white pasta fagioli soup; chicken pastina soup with ditalini pasta; garlic toast; and spicy marinated peppers (which I put on my sandwich). I've had pasta and fagioli soup many times over the years but none as good as this -- obviously made from a traditional recipe from a real Italian cook! Some also enjoyed mimosas or aperol spritzes. The party host also purchased small bottles of Prosecco wine from the restaurant for us to take home as party favors. The ambiance was very comfortable in the back room for our group of about 30 persons, with three tables of about ten ladies each. The food was served along the counter of the bar area. A waitress took and delivered our drinks. There was a fireplace in the room but it was not lit. I hope to return one day for a special occasion to try their dinner menu.

The staff is always so friendly, which always helps the experience. We started with the antipasto for an appetizer and it was amazing! There was the perfect amount of dressing and the ratios were great! For an entree, my friends and I decided to split the Mia Margherita and the Fico pies. The Margherita is a classic and always a great choice! The Fico was extremely different, but delicious. It was sweet, but salty with the prosciutto and gorgonzola. For dessert, the tiramisu is a classic and delicious choice and so is the doozie! I highly recommend Mia Margherita and I can't wait to go back!

He also had solid dinner recommendations and was super nice and welcoming to our family (including 2 kids under 5). Job well done. Of course, great service means nothing if the food doesn't back it up, and thankfully it did. I really enjoyed my steak pasta; my wife enjoyed her soup, and the kids ate their chicken tenders (for what that's worth). My 5 year old didn't love her kids mac & cheese (was penne pasta) but I did enough to eat half there and bring the rest home as leftovers. Awesome dinner. Thank you again Daniel!

We went to Carolyns Sandwich shop, a small place downtown. Carolyn is the owner and everyone's Grandma, or mom. Jim has been helping her at the diner, nice guy. Before more of the locals came in, they included us in the conversation of Recipes. I learned something's I did not know. One of the local gentleman likes pickles and horseradish. He pours the juice off of the pickles( saving the juice), grated fresh horseradish over the pickles, then pours the pickle juice back over the pickles, gently stir, seal tight and allow to sit for a overnight or more for the pickles to take on the Horseradish flavor. We talked and laughed on other subjects as well. There is always something to learn-everyday. I guess I better tell You about the food. I ordered a Cheeseburger with everything, coleslaw and unsweetened tea. My burger was not in any way greasy. It was really good. Everything is homemade , the coleslaw was delicious. It is sweet. The ice tea tasted good, Eric and I ordered Fried Green tomatoes. My husband ordered Ham and cheese sandwich French fries and Dr. Pepper. He said that his food was good. The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection. If you are in Harrisville area, stop in before 2 or 3 pm and say he to Carolyn and Jim, try any of their homemade dishes. You won't be disappointed.
