We stumbled upon Jim N Nicks Bbq and are glad we did. We sat at the outside bar and Nicole welcomed us and proceeded to make both beer and meal recommendations. We opted for the 3 meat meal (brisket, smoked turkey and pulled pork)with collard greens, slaw and potato salad. The meats were delicious and filled the two of us. The sauce was ok, nothing too fancy and just a basic sauce that I ended up adding a bit of hot sauce to. All in all, a pretty solid place in the middle of nowhere. They are located around 10 minutes outside of downtown, and it appeared to be an economically challenged area. It was a little challenging to find at first, because I didn't realize that it was simply a small building where you could order from the walk up window or through the drive-through. According to their hours online, they stay open until 9 PM. When I arrived, the place was closed. I called the phone number on the sign, and there was an out of service message. I was definitely disappointed, because I definitely wanted to try their barbecue. All signs suggested that they are now out of business. Maybe next time...
