Bathroom very large also and well appointed. Exceptional lighting. 2. Kitchen access upstairs for ice, free soda, coffee, tea or water, homemade cookies bt elevator or stairs. Honor system for alcohol (we didnt try any). 3. Accommodating pleasant staff. 4. Old historic house and small but pretty grounds you can walk around. The magnolias are ancient and spectacular. Wish we could have seen them in bloom. 5. Can order nicely prepared meals to room or eat in library lounge - breakfast or dinner. Def an old southern feel to the place. Cons: 1. Parking was tight and hard to to manuever but they did have a cart available for rooms that are further away - partially broken. 2. In downtown area, kind of dingy and run down - but somewhat charming w many old craftsman homes around. 3. Could have used some hanging baskets and annuals for more color and charm - would help brighten the mood of the run down area of town - 4. And wish theyd answer the phones. We left messages almost everytime we called (they were good about calling back). This leaves one feeling disconnected from a warm hospitable experience.

This was honestly one of the worst service experiences I have ever had…read more We came in on a Monday night too a sparsely sat restaurant. Nevertheless there were 4 waitresses which was more than enough. Unfortunately, the wait staff spent more time talking and joking with each other than serving. It took them 30 minutes to take our order and then 50 minutes to tell me they didn't have the kind of cheese I wanted for my hamburger. So all in it took 1 hour for a burger! AN HOUR FOR A BURGER!! In that time, I watched them serve 1 other table of 4, watched 1 table of 1 pay. Watched a waitress break a glass, poorly sweep it up and then saw another person come by and mop the glass around. In all this time our waitress never came by to check on us, never refilled our drinks or checked on our food. A different waitress delivered my food, again an hour after I ordered it. We asked for the manager after finally getting my food. The manager/floor supervisor was apologetic but also full of excuses. Instead of correcting the staff he started doing their work for them. Including bringing us our bill and refilling our drinks. While going through the bill another patron, having just sat down, and upon hearing our report of the service, got up and left. The manager did give us a discount on the bill for the poor service but I'd much rather have had a good dining experience. I hate to say this but I think age is a factor. All of the waitresses were in their early to mid 20s and really had no work ethic. The manager was similarly aged, maybe slightly older, and didn't know how to manage his team. I think more experienced leadership needs to train the staff from the front of the house to the back. Needless to say we won't be back.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.

With vintage stools, cozy booths, and music from the 1940s and 1950s playing in the background, it truly feels like stepping back in time. You can order burgers, fries, custom sodas, and milkshakes, but honestly the milkshakes alone are worth the visit. We went specifically for shakes and ended up adding a basket of fries, which we absolutely demolished. The service was excellent -- our milkshake and fries arrived within just a few minutes of ordering. The fries were seasoned really well, though I'm pretty sure the secret is a slightly sweet sugar blend mixed into the seasoning. Either way, they were addictive. The milkshake we tried was the Ginger Finger -- a vanilla shake blended with Butterfinger candy and a hint of ginger that gives it a subtle bite. It was unique and delicious. There's plenty of seating for everyone, whether you're dining solo, as a couple, or with a large group. The walls are lined with interesting photos that add to the charm, and parking is plentiful. Overall, it's just a neat, memorable experience that blends good food with a slice of history. A solid stop if you're in the area.

It's a hidden gem in our area. We had 5 in our party Mary was our server. She was very attentive to us without being overbearing. Our food came out quickly after we ordered. 4 in the party ordered the Brent Burger with housecut fries and I ordered the patty melt with onion rings. My burger patty was juicy but lacked a lot of flavor. The Texas toast was grilled to perfection with crispy edges. My onion rings were good. I was a little miffed that I only got four but they were filling and tasted really good.
