I enjoy the food from HTP. My favorite is the Salmon, with the baked sweet potato. The staff is for the most part friendly. Waitresses were very kind and good at what they do. I only eat here occasionally , as the prices are way off. This is a small town, I think they need to realize my friends ,family, their "neighbors " , we all like the food but we will certainly go another 20 minutes to buy the same sort of foods they serve at a cheaper price and of better quality. Highly recommend the grilled seafood and fish. My meat lovers,sons and husband, recommend a different location, going by the price of their steaks /fush/ burgers, my family says it's worth it to go a few miles further to dine than to pay the expensive price HTP, simply put HTP is way to expensive for the quality . My opinion is I live the salmon, salad bar, but a little pricey, as my family says. Staff at window and the older workers/owners are usually friendly. Some need to realize customers are not as they may seem, we may have $ to spend there,some friends have mentioned they go elsewhere due to one or two people who received their order and no eye contact, no manners, It's simply not a great idea to be unfriendly. Lee's is currently closed do to their restaurant flooding during a major storm. However they have a food truck in their parking lot for pick up orders only. We plan on visiting their new restaurant as soon as it is rebuilt. This is one of our favorite steak houses! read more

I really hate to leave a horrible review after our only trip there. It was our first time and it was a couple weeks ago. We will go back and give them one more try I am sure. Maybe it was just a one off kind of night for them. So, let's go with the cons first... Our steaks where just.. ok.. They were little over seasoned and over cooked. The salad bar is just your basic accoutrement, nothing special.. We were left with empty glasses for a long while. Pros.. the staff was friendly. The sweet potatoes were good. The cheese cake (though I don't think they make them in house) was very very good. The things on the salad bar were fresh and stocked. The dinningroom was clean. Who knew out in the boonies of Mississippi you'd find some good rib eye steaks??? The co-workers and I ordered fried dill pickles, sweet potato fries, 12 oz. rib eye steaks with Texas toast and baked sweet potato. The fried dill pickles seemed to be overcooked. We told our waitress (who looked and sounded exactly like Paula Deen) thinking she was going to make another batch but she came back saying that they removed it from our bill. She said that they just got a new fryer so they're still adjusting. That was pretty nice of them. The sweet potato fries covered in powdered sugar was just OK. Then came out the rib eye steak....it was pretty freakin' good!! I ordered mine medium and it was cooked to perfection and very juicy. The baked sweet potato was great too, I only needed to add a little bit of butter and brown sugar and I was in heaven. To top it off their homemade sweet tea just hit the spot in the humid weather out there. They also have a buffet salad bar included with dinner. I didn't really have much of the green stuff because I wanted to save space for the real stuff. My boss did mention they had a wine and cheese dressing that he liked. We split the bill three ways and I spent a total of $25 for all that food including tax and a 20% tip because Mrs. Paula Deen was such a sweetheart! I think the drive out in the middle of nowhere was worth it for that oh-so delicious meal! read more

I checked in and posted a photo so I hope this isn't redundant but oh well here goes. We saw the Yelp listing and we were up in Philadelphia so we took the short drive down to Lee's. It was definitely worth the drive. The steaks were delicious and we really enjoyed the sweet potatoes as well. The service was great and very friendly. Most of the locations and maps kept taking us to the wrong place. As you come through Sebastopol ignore the GPS trying to take you to the empty lot in town and just keep driving. The restaurant is about a mile or so South of town on the right side (West side). One last thing, to all of those who complained about the salad bar, get over it. You're in Mississippi and not New York. It wasn't overly fancy but for a simple salad at it was fine. You're probably not driving here for the lettuce anyway. I guarantee you that you'll go away satisfied. read more

What a treat! While in Mississippi visiting Framly for a Baptism, we all went to Lee's for steak. The drinks were cold, the salad bar was just right and my T Bone Steak was point on. Our server, Bridgett, did a fantastic job serving all 8 of us. She was on top of all aspects of her job. You can bet that we will be back the next time we are up there. First the bad news. If you are looking for a great salad bar this is not your place. Just barely enough stuff. Bout not to worry the best is to come. I had the 10oz ribeye. It was done as ordered and tasted great. Just one worry. Why is it that every stake house for miles around cuts their stakes the same thickness, about 3/4 inch. Still tasted great but I like a thick steak every once in a while. For a side I had the baked sweet potato. Baked to perfection and served with a nondairy spread, thank you, and brown sugar. The place was packed, people were parking on the road. FYI, this place is out in the country. I mean way out. I live in the country but if you haven't been before better break out the GPS. Hands down the best steakhouse I have been to short of a Ruth's Chris, and for less than half the cost. The menu is not terribly diverse but what you do get is some of the best grilled ribeyes this side of the Mississippi. Couple that with a loaded baked potato and a trip to the salad bar and you will have to take dessert to go. Friendly staff and ownership that takes pride in their product make this a can't miss in the deep woods of Mississippi. A family favorite for us. read more

My husband and I were visiting in area and saw this place. We went in and was seated and was given a menu. We waited for someone to come take our order for at least 15 minutes watching others coming in after we did and being waited on immediately. After waiting for another 10 minutes or so, we left. We drove 25 miles to get to this restaurant, and it was well worth it! The service was super friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. My sister and I had the Cajun ribeye sandwich with a huge loaded baked potato (for $11), and everyone else got the 12-ounce ribeye (it looked bigger!) for $22 (it came with a side and salad bar, so it was way more than enough for a big appetite!). One more thing: we got there at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, it looked like 60 or 70 cars in the lot, yet we seated immediately, and had our food within 20 minutes (plus our waitress told all of us to help ourselves to the salad bar even if it didn't come with our meals!). I would gladly drive 50 miles each way to eat here again! read more

Very good food. This place has a fantastic environment and is great for any occasion. Slightly high prices but they are well worth it because this is the best place to eat between Jackson and Hattisburg. The service is also good considering how packed this steakhouse always is. read more

We had heard about this place for years and stopped to eat supper while in the area (visiting family). The staff was friendly, and the steaks were amazing. Very tender and flavorful. The chicken tenders and sweet potato were very good as well. Their prices are very reasonable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the salad bar wasn't very impressive.
